    My 2018 Accord 1.5T just had a fuel injector fail at 58k error code P0172 (posted on my channel). Modern Honda look amazing but once the 3yr/36k warranty expires you're on your own and you have no idea how expensive modern Honda engines are to fix. Oil changed at 80%, Shell regular used 80% of the time, always did warm up the car in the winter. Dealer so out of touch they recommended brake fluid replacement at 30k. I've never seen this part fail in ANY of my past cars. When asked why the injector failed so early Dealer said they see them all the time and cost of replacement is $1600-$2500 (must replace all 4) and the new injectors warranty is only for 12k/12mos! I was in love and bought the 1st Accord on the lot with series ending in -0001 but when I made a case with Honda to see if it could be part of a bad batch all I got was the VM of the case manager for weeks on end. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice...

    Sold my 2016 Accord Touring for the 2018 Touring 2.0 and the difference is amazing. Transmission is smooth as silk and the car is so much quieter than my 2016. Power level is equal to my 2016 V6. My only complaint is the hood. Honda got rid of the hydraulic struts that hold the hood open and have reverted back to the single rod you lift up to keep the hood open. I'm guessing it was to save some weight.

    • @dexterous2513
      @dexterous2513 2 года назад

    Honda Accords are awesome. I've got a 2010 EX-L V6 and still love it .
    I don't think I would want any vehicle made in the past 5 years .The more extra computer gadgets they put in ,the more expensive the repair when things break down ,and the more expensive the purchase price .
    I'm not down with 1.5 liter engines either. They have issues that can destroy your car over time ( oil mixing with the gas)

    There are several things the tour guide neglected to mention. To name just a few, when he mentioned the wheels, he didn't mention that the alloy wheels stick out further than the tires so when you're parallel parking and you get too close to the curb, instead of brushing the tires you damage the expensive wheels. That's only the beginning. Whenever you go in for service, they'll want to rotate your tires for free. Of course! That will put another wheel in position to be damaged while parking.
    This one is for men. With a suit or sports jacket on try to connect your seat belt. The connector is down between the seat and the center counsel so it’s very hard to do, bad design. Be careful straight in perpendicular parking. Chances are very good that you will scrape the bottom of your car before the front wheels touch the curb. And by all means don't bump into anything more rigid than a beach ball. The whole front end is plastic. Are you surprised that the tour guide didn't mention any of this? I'm not.

    First of all good review, thank you for that.. I guess you used a simple cellphone to record that's why the video is not that smooth, but doesn't matter, you told everything perfectly fine.. Already subscribed..
    About the car, well people are complaining about looks. I believe everyone has his choice, I believe the car should be measured firstly by driving pleasure and then by looks. The features also looks pretty top notch, I like especially the rear seat heating button. My verdict, I loved the car, and thanks Geared Guy for showing around..

    I like the profile of this car, the long hood and short rear end is always a more attractive proportion and I’m sure it’s built quality and fit and finish is much improved so that alone makes it a better car. However I just wish they had better taste in making it more elegant. The tail light design just disrupts it’s design continuity. A one piece light would look so much more elegant and I wish the front didn’t have that gape but the front is a bit more likable than the rear.
