Same here it's not as bad as people make it seam. It's pretty stylish to be honest. The only part I don't see as attractive is the rear but it's not ugly either
Contrary to most opinions, I like everything except the tail lights. Honda didn't even try with those. This is the best looking Accord yet and finally a design with some creativity.
My 2018 Accord 1.5T just had a fuel injector fail at 58k error code P0172 (posted on my channel). Modern Honda look amazing but once the 3yr/36k warranty expires you're on your own and you have no idea how expensive modern Honda engines are to fix. Oil changed at 80%, Shell regular used 80% of the time, always did warm up the car in the winter. Dealer so out of touch they recommended brake fluid replacement at 30k. I've never seen this part fail in ANY of my past cars. When asked why the injector failed so early Dealer said they see them all the time and cost of replacement is $1600-$2500 (must replace all 4) and the new injectors warranty is only for 12k/12mos! I was in love and bought the 1st Accord on the lot with series ending in -0001 but when I made a case with Honda to see if it could be part of a bad batch all I got was the VM of the case manager for weeks on end. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice...
I was thinking of buying a 2015 cla 250 but after seeing this video I would rather buy the 2018 Honda accord , all these features plus heated and cooling seats is amazing for a first car
Sold my 2016 Accord Touring for the 2018 Touring 2.0 and the difference is amazing. Transmission is smooth as silk and the car is so much quieter than my 2016. Power level is equal to my 2016 V6. My only complaint is the hood. Honda got rid of the hydraulic struts that hold the hood open and have reverted back to the single rod you lift up to keep the hood open. I'm guessing it was to save some weight.
@@bigppligma8197 drives hella smooth and it’s very comfortable back seats nice if you know what I mean 😂imma stop Anyways good gas mileage nice car 💯 percent tho
There are several things the tour guide neglected to mention. To name just a few, when he mentioned the wheels, he didn't mention that the alloy wheels stick out further than the tires so when you're parallel parking and you get too close to the curb, instead of brushing the tires you damage the expensive wheels. That's only the beginning. Whenever you go in for service, they'll want to rotate your tires for free. Of course! That will put another wheel in position to be damaged while parking. This one is for men. With a suit or sports jacket on try to connect your seat belt. The connector is down between the seat and the center counsel so it’s very hard to do, bad design. Be careful straight in perpendicular parking. Chances are very good that you will scrape the bottom of your car before the front wheels touch the curb. And by all means don't bump into anything more rigid than a beach ball. The whole front end is plastic. Are you surprised that the tour guide didn't mention any of this? I'm not.
Lane keep assist which is my wife’s favorite ft. Heated rear seats which my son loves. 2.0T with so much potential of making much more with mods which I love. Etc. I mean for me it’s a awesome daily
Did you see the look on his face when he said, there's a lot of room in the back seat... This car is huge.... yeah, he knew exactly what audience we are...🤣🤣 a bunch of horn dogs🤣🤣
I like the profile of this car, the long hood and short rear end is always a more attractive proportion and I’m sure it’s built quality and fit and finish is much improved so that alone makes it a better car. However I just wish they had better taste in making it more elegant. The tail light design just disrupts it’s design continuity. A one piece light would look so much more elegant and I wish the front didn’t have that gape but the front is a bit more likable than the rear.
Honda Accords are awesome. I've got a 2010 EX-L V6 and still love it . I don't think I would want any vehicle made in the past 5 years .The more extra computer gadgets they put in ,the more expensive the repair when things break down ,and the more expensive the purchase price . I'm not down with 1.5 liter engines either. They have issues that can destroy your car over time ( oil mixing with the gas)
Car looks great everywhere but the tail lights look ugly also the interior in nicer than some base model luxury cars but cost less and even though there is no v6 the bigger engine is faster to i guess its not so bad. So over all i think honda did really well with this car
i'll wait for the refresh to get one, Mid cycle refresh tends to look better but for right now i'll stick to my V6 touring I have basically everything this car has except pairing, digital instrument cluster and heads up display everything else been using that technology for 2yrs now.
Does anyone know that you’re able to roll down your windows with the car remote? Barley discovered this today. Was blown away! I was walking towards my car and unlocked it but held onto the unlock button for more than 5 seconds and the windows went down 😬
By the way, all KIA’s with the SX or SXL trims have a rear seat USB port, 115V outlet, and 12V outlet. One would think Honda would offer at least one outlet.
i wonder if the electronic push button shifter controls a motor that controls the transmission cable. bc near the end it flashed the reverse lights kind of like if you were shifting into reverse normally
Thanks Philip for an informative review. Picking up my car tomorrow in the UAE. My dealer spoke about the brake hold system which helps in city traffic driving?
There is only one thing that I do not like about this new accord. It is something very minor though. I don’t understand why the entire car is LED except for the rear turn signal’s. That is easily fixed though. All you have to do is buy a set of LEDs and replace the ones that are there. Other than that the rest of the car is really fantastic. I would also like to make another comment. All these people complaining about the coupe going away, I don’t understand that.I see about 90% sedan on the road and only 10% coupe. That is the reason why they stopped making the coupe.
First of all good review, thank you for that.. I guess you used a simple cellphone to record that's why the video is not that smooth, but doesn't matter, you told everything perfectly fine.. Already subscribed.. About the car, well people are complaining about looks. I believe everyone has his choice, I believe the car should be measured firstly by driving pleasure and then by looks. The features also looks pretty top notch, I like especially the rear seat heating button. My verdict, I loved the car, and thanks Geared Guy for showing around..
Great Video!!! But what do you think is better for this years model? A 2018 Honda Civic sport touring hatchback or a Honda Accord touring? I would love halls opinions 🙇🏽Thxs
Why would I want to deal with all the problems inherent with a turbocharged engine? Mechanical failure, more maintenance and shorter engine life not to mention acceleration lag? Was interested in the 2017 V6 but now I think I'll go with the TLX since Honda has abandoned normally aspirated engines in the Accord.
man that rear is disgusting, plus that chrome trim all around the screams old people car, honda really is going down with this one. no surprised ive seen a lot more new canrry than this one
My old 2005 Audi A4 Quattro has heated rear seats. That is a big step for Honda like you mention but I’ve seen it before. We own a 2014 Honda Accord and like it more than this one.

Agreed, Thanks for watching!
I drive by them all the time, and they are so stunning
I knoooooo!!!!!!!
Just test drove one today I’m in love
@@olliepayne7767 I have a 2016 accord coupe love these newer accords tho they’re so nice
Its absolutely crazy how many people dislike the design. I personally love the more aggressive look. And yes, even the tail lights.
I do too! Far more than the previous design
The best Accord by Honda. Car looks gorgeous..
the new look is starting grow on me

Dan Wells even the back?
i am so pissed that the designers gave the new accord the backlights from the civic
Yep
I am so pissed because the accord is no longer offered in Europe. ;_;
Should've kept the BMW style backlights
Daniel Cox me too I cant stand that shxt
Not civic its front and back from amaze one budget low end car
Contrary to most opinions, I like everything except the tail lights. Honda didn't even try with those. This is the best looking Accord yet and finally a design with some creativity.
In person, the accord is a dream. Even those taillights
I couldn't agree more! It's a hit!

Very good review, now I love this car more . Great job
it's beautiful.
If they make a coupe, shorten it a bit, change the taillights and give it a sport back...it would be the perfect!
Great looking car and great review!
Looks nice at night tbh , don’t like the wheel gap they should’ve just gone with the 20inch wheel

i wanna get this one too. 😭
Dang I still have the Honda Accord 2003 sedan
Do you still have it? I still have my 2002 Honda Accord in 2021!
Honda got almost everything right in this for the price, except I don’t understand how or why they neglected rear seat USB or at least 12V chargers.
I agree! I like that the CR-V incorporates the usb ports in the rear. Thanks for watching.
By the way, all KIA’s with the SX or SXL trims have a rear seat USB port, 115V outlet, and 12V outlet. One would think Honda would offer at least one outlet.
They are available as a dealer installed option, just like the heated steering wheel.

Hey Phil! Nice review. Have a question. Will Honda ever make the accord "All Wheel Drive"? I think that will kill the competition.
I wish I knew! Thanks for commenting
Love it, but they need to change the horn and the back, both looks exactly like the Civic, they need one unique to the Accord
'Sport' mode does not make the vehicle more powerful - as you stated - it adjusts the damping and throttle control to be a bit more aggressive
Nice video buddy.
Pro Tip: you should consider investing in a ‘Gimbal’ to make smooth videos. Give it a thought.
It's coming trust me. Thanks though!
