Thank you for a detailed video. According to Honda service manual, the headliner front should be lowered below steering wheel and then it should be pulled out of the front passenger door. That will provide better clearance than the trunk and not require folding it.
@@kryptik0 thanks for the comment. Maybe that would be possible if you laid the front seats down all the way back instead of folding them forwards, but I bet it’s still a tight squeeze. However my headliner has no wrinkles where the small folds happened. Only where I didn’t quite get it glued down well under the visor area. It’s still holding up great so far and looks good.
Great work, glad to see you went with the slightly lighter color, as it'll probably match perfectly over time as it gets dirty. Wondering how it's holding up 3 months in?
It's still holding strong. Looks great still. Right around the visor detents I could have done better, it didn't stick great in about a 1" area in the deepest part of the detent, but that hasn't led to anything else unsticking so far. I learned a few things - 1: don't over apply the glue, or if you do you have to let it get tacky before you stick it down. 2 - leave plenty of excess and the goal is not to stretch it anywhere at all, any stretching will just lead to making it harder to get to stick down.
Hey the cloth in my car is hanging how yours was in the beginning. Do I have to replace the cloth? Or can I just kinda stick the cloth back up to the ceiling and fix it that way?
@@notkryptxc you can’t really glue an old sagging headliner back on. The foam underneath is all crumbly and won’t hold anything you glue to it. You could possibly pin or thumbtack it up to the fiberglass headboard I guess if you were really not wanting to replace it and didn’t mind that.
How much material did you end up ordering L x W? Very good video, I did a headliner in a truck before and didn't realized this would be somewhat similar.
Hello, 3M markets it as headliner glue, so I went with it, and it's holding good so far. What do you recommend using for those that don't have access to a spray gun?
Excellent video. Thank you. Thinking I'll do my '01 Civic when the weather warms up.

Good video thanks man
Hey man amazing video, quick question did you order for just the headliner or for both headliner and sun visors?
@@ariana9974 just the headliner.
What is the name of the fabric color? I'm about to order from the same folks and have the same interior color.
I used the Light Driftwood color.
@@RepairNut thank you so much!

@@vanangle I ordered material from moonlighting auto. They sell it in a roll for headliners. The size they sent was plenty for 1 headliner.
What was the length and width
@@juice4604 I didn’t measure it.
not good stuff to use to glue a headliner with. I know I am an upholsterer any can glue will not hold and make a big mess to clean.
