The makeup, air and dress actually aged her. She looks younger in other photos.

Because a lot of actresses a decade younger probably have Anna as their role model and here’s an adult in a detectable wig
@@dsmproductionsofficial131 All of the Annas wear wigs. In fact, 90 percent of the female roles on Broadway are costumed with wigs so they don't have to create intricate styles 8 shows a week and then quick change the hair mid-show into the next style. It controls the look of the character to use wigs.

Corsets are actually great for singing since they give support!
Corsets don’t hinder her singing! Or much of your physical movement. The only thing is that you can’t really bend. Women in the working class wore corsets and were able to work just fine. Corsets never caused any problems (and mind you must people who tight laced were frowned upon). Also it gives you good back support! And standing straight helps with signing! So in short, the corset changes almost nothing. Sorry it just makes me angry when people believe corsets were these horrible things since all these horrible stories we hear are just myths

Went to High school with Patti :) So sweet! So sad they are both leaving in February. They will also be Ana and Elsa to me.

I saw Patti perform in Frozen last month. She was amazing. I didn't see Caissie unfortunately but her standby Alyssa Fox was equally amazing.

I loooove heeer. My fave actress in frozen broadway. So funny, her acting is so comical, in a good way. She’s really entertaining, and of course had a beautiful voice. Dont understand y people hate her. Watch the show, and you’ll love her like i did. Love you annaaaa

I’m so sad that this show closed, I was really excited to see it. I wanted to by a ticket after this quarantine but now I can’t do that.

I just saw frozen on Broadway last Saturday and I know a lot of people say that Cassie Levy got robbed of a Tony Nomination, but lets be honest here, Patti has/had more on stage time and a bigger character development as Anna compared to Elsa. She deserved that nomination. I'm impressed the amount of work she dedicated to this role!! Love forever to Patti Murin!!

It’s the wig. If I’m correct, the “bedhead” is a topper and not a full piece.

She starts in this at the end of 'Do You Wanna Build A Snowman', and then that goes in to Correnation Day/First Time In Forever with the main skirt part of the costume off (just the bodice/undergarments on underneath a nightgown) and wig covered with 'bed hair', before redressing on stage.

this is the second one i have seen where the actor does their own makeup... is this common on broadway?
I think it depends. Usually someone else does their hair, but basic makeup is usually done by the actor. If it's more complex and requires a lot of attention to detail, then perhaps a makeup artist comes in.

Most actors does their own makeup, but some characters require help like Elphaba for example
