Man she REALLY love that make up transformation.
Amanda brings such an amazing layer of personality to Glinda with her awkward pauses and voice wavering. She gauges the audience throughout the show and times her line delivery based on their reactions. Not only does she embody the role of Glinda almost impeccably, but she performs to give the greatest possible experience to her audience. I truly feel priveleged to have been able to see her perform.

I've met Amanda twice when she was Glinda on the national tour in March and she was so so kind! I got to give her my portrait of her and she loved it and was just so adorable and caring!

Last Wednesday I and hubby saw Wicked at the Gershwin theater on Broadway and we both got sooo smitten by GgggLinda! You can say we are Glindafied too! Love the way Amanda Jane gave life to the character - she is amazing!
If I remember correctly, that's the same Glinda I saw in a different city of the state I live in (I don't live anywhere close to New York), back in the summer of 2016. That was also my first time seeing Wicked so the fact that Amanda of all people is the one in this video just makes my day because I know that she got to be a part of a very special memory for me ☺️
Oh my gosh! Amanda was also my Glinda in the touring company that visited my hometown too!! She really rocked it!!

It bothers me though, when an actor naturally has perfect hair for their character, and what do the hair people do? They conceal it into a wig! Maybe that’s just me though, and that all the wigs I’ve tried have been itchy and miserable! 😂
I’m very late to this comment but most of the wigs cover up their microphones also in this show in particular the character has many different hairstyles which would simply take too long to do on natural hair mid performance! I hope this helps Xx
Emelia Tinch Thank you. I realized that some time after this comment. But it’s just Galinda who wears several hair styles. I also watched a character study of Christine Daaé where the young lady had perfect Christine hair, and the inevitable wig was brought out. I wonder why it matters so much if mics show. The stages are so big that I would think no one in the house would see it!
#1 its someone's job to make and do wigs
#2 her hair looks good here, but who knows how ot always looks?
#3 if it were a rainy or humid day, you never know how human hair can react.
#4 Galinda has an exact look...it is much easier (and safer to the actor's hair) to have a wig styled, ready to go, with a back up.
#5 Lights, hairspray, and styling is hard on hair for 8 (?) shows a week.
She should be Glinda in the movie.
