@WickedCushions It's about the gear ratio, I didn't have enough strength to push it into the pins, so I used the blunt side of a butter knife so as not to cut it.
Gonna give these a try, bundled with matching cooling foam earpads. 90s Black looks rad! I've been fine with the stock parts, but I do have a bit of an issue with the original fabric headband where if I move my head to look up or down they want to slide back and forth on my hair and will even fall off sometimes if for example I'm bending down to pick my controller charging cable up off the floor to plug it in. No bueno. In my experience silicone tends to be "grippier" or provide more friction, so your guys' kit might fix that annoyance 👍.
ordered mine today. was using the original ones in the lowest settings and my had is not small. Eventually they stretched out and now basically don't provide any support since my head is pushing into the frame itself. Wish there were more holes for adjustment. I hope the ones from wicked cushion don't stretch out and still gonna be a good fit regardless of the fact that they are larger.
@@WickedCushions the original steelseries headband is almost too big on me, and I have a normal sized head. it stretches out too much on the smallest setting and they end up sagging on my head. Is the wc silicone band harder to stretch than the original steelseries band?
@@fxyde Start with the top hole first. Use one thumb to push down on one side of the hole and keep it there steady. Use a key or another similar object to force the edges of the rest of the circle down around it. It wasn't easy.
Is there anything better for smaller heads? These don't look better than the original steelseries ones, the 3 setting system is really dogshit honestly, not sure why steelseries changed from the superior velcro slide system to this 3 setting only system. I had no problems getting the velcro one exactly where I wanted it to be and it would fit my head perfectly. The lowest setting on this thing is still too big. And these new ones you're showing being even stretchier I don't think is gonna help me. Anyone else suffer with this and things you did to fix it?
I will say, these have less "give" so they might feel smaller when using on the lowest setting. Since the originals will stretch more compared to these
@@WickedCushions in the video they literally stretched more with the same force so how are they less stretchier? I’m not talking about like stretching out over time with use, I mean just by initial force. It looks like you pull them the same amount and it pulled more which looks like it would be less resistant when wearing and stretch more.

Will you offer WHITE cushions for the new ASTRO A50 X (2024) model
For assembly, I recommend using the blunt part of a butter knife.
For the headband? how exactly?
@WickedCushions It's about the gear ratio, I didn't have enough strength to push it into the pins, so I used the blunt side of a butter knife so as not to cut it.
This worked for me. It was very difficult to get the headband over the nubs.
I ordered the 90's white headband from Amazon. I'm glad they're made out of silicone, cuz it'll be more gripping when you move or tilt your head
Glad you like them!
Headband is a lot better than the original replacement from Steelseries. Thank you Wicked Customs!
No doubt!
Just got my set and there amazing
Thanks for your order and support :)
Just received my Silicone Headband and the Speaker Plates in Black Camo to match my Freeze Pads and all 3 are great upgrades imo 👍
Thank you!

Silicone is much grippier for sure

They have more give but they don't stay stretched!
the force required to put this thing on is ludicrous compared to you just snapping it on in the video
Sorry about that, due to it being silicone, we had to make the holes smaller otherwise it would just snap off.
Bro I was just fighting for my life putting this on 😂😂
You should really give a tool to help install these easier. It was extremely hard.
What kind of tool do you think would be helpful?
@@WickedCushions I don't know I am not a mechanical engineer. And even if I did know, I don't give ideas out for free.
@@XxFWLxX311 What a piece of shit response.
why not make the hole bigger? the installation is so hard
Because when you make it bigger, as soon as the headband is on your head - the headband will pop off.
Thats what happened with our previous version
Will the silicone pull on hair if you have long hair
Yes, a little bit.
So why is it longer when it's already more stretchy with the silicone and more secure with the smaller holes?
Its not much longer, that just allows for a little more give for bigger heads. the original, if you stretchted it much, would just pop out.

I ordered em for the Arctis 7x+ I’m assuming they don’t fit
If you don't have an arctis NOVA 7x, then you are correct, these will not fit.
Do this headband fit the new arctis nova 5x?
Yes it does
How do they hold up? The steel series one seemed to have stetched. The head set sits too low and i have to literally use 1 knotch as low as i can go
These have more give in them already but they do not stretch out and become loose
i've been struggling so hard and i can't get them installed in my arctis nova pro, is there any way or anything i can use to help me out?
In what way are you struggling?
@@WickedCushions I can't push the holes to fit, they feel like they're too small, they're not expanding
@@fxyde Yeah I had to use a key to push them in and make them fit. It was terrible. My thumbs are killing me.

Any idea if you will ever offer products for raycon headphones?
No plans for that
