I watched several different reviews on this headset, and debated it for a few months… then I found your original review a few weeks ago. I love this headset. I was able to get it on sale for $280. I’m able to connect it to my pc, Logitech g560 speakers, and my Xbox series X simultaneously. I like the fact that whenever I turn on what I’m using, it just works. I have the wicked freeze gel cushions, and they feel and sound amazing. The main reason I haven’t purchased some other brand, is due to the lack of connectivity.
Nice combo the headset and those ear cushions.
Just got these bad boys today upgrading from Astro A40tr’s and luckily got the new ear muffs at the same time. Great reviews brother!

@@RushtyShpoon I love having the wireless and the changeable battery. Sound is similar though I feel you can customize more on the Astro Command center for console. The Sonar application looks better than that but only works for PC and you have to use the presets. Comfort even with the new ear muffs still go to the Astro however which is unfortunate. Not terrible but not sure there is anything out there as comfortable as Astros.

I went with turtle beach stealth pro in the end Which aren’t supposed to be the comfiest but seem to be the best for fps and don’t have long gaming session anymore so
i’ve found steel series sonar has helped the microphone on the nova pros, but that’s my daily headset it’s my favorite well worth the price tag in my opinion

I’ve been blessed to be gifted with a RIG 600 that unfortunately I haven’t been able to get to work with my console. Specifically the mic doesn’t pick up when I’m talking. Which is hilarious when I use it with Bluetooth cause my phone recognizes it perfectly and I can take calls easily. This was supposed to backup my RIG 800, however the 800’s dongle started having connection issues so I have since replaced both with a Xbox Wireless Headset and I love it. I’ve been down all the google rabbit holes to find the best sound eq settings and to customize my Dolby Atmos settings for my favorite game, CoD, and this headset is amazing for me. I’m dong less and I can power on the console with the headset when I’m still trying to find my controller. I’m forgetful and I don’t have a controller stand currently.
I remember you mentioning that, that’s such a funky issue, I wonder if RIG knows about it from other people complaining of it. Hope you enjoy your new lineup of headsets, and best of luck on your new streaming adventures

Have used these cans since August 2022 (close to release). Replaced my Astro 40 TR’s and SteelSeries 7x.
I’ve not felt a need to look elsewhere. I ❤ this product.
The hot swap batteries have been replaced. One went bad. Under $20 to replace direct from Steelseries, only needed to trash one, and now I’ve got three on rotation.
Having the base station and recharge station together is genius. It gives you the peace of mind like wired, with freedom. I know they aren’t best headphones in existence, but they just deliver. No feedback, no bullshit.
The wicked cushions are thicker than stock. This has helped some crazy shaped ear people get relief from that anc tube you can see inside the cup. Personally it was something I occasionally felt previously but wasn’t uncomfortable to me. With the wicked cushions it is completely pushed out my mind. (Literally).
Stock pleather is fine, but WC is better. Unless you’re styling, I’d personally skip the headband and especially the side caps. The WC ones I received were plastic instead of alloy and the magnets were weaker (not vibrating or falling off btw, just “cheaper feeling”). Although I still use the full mod kit.
The mic isn’t the best, but it works. Like you, I’ve tucked that outta the way. Got the mute button on and the red warning led is trapped inside the headphone.
The base display feels like it might be fading out a little, but I can still read it clearly.
A year ago I did have to use a sim poke to reset the headset (for some issue long forgot about).
Once in a while I have to check the Auto Options to see if ANC is still on, but they’ve worked so well the biggest worry so far has been checking the firmware once in a while to see if I’ve missed an update in a the last 6 month or so.
For all the crap in the world labeled gaming. This product isn’t.
Do you use the spatial audio features in Sonar? Can't really seem to find any info on what the immersion/performance and distance sliders actually do and what are optimal settings for FPS. I mean I assume that performance is ideal for FPS like COD, but not so sure about distance. Kind of settled at about 35% to the left...
The Epos H6Pro is my daily driver for pc gaming and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X is my go-to headset for console gaming

Really want to get this headset but idk how to set it up to where I can hear my PC + whatever console I'm using at the moment.. got an HDMI switch with an optical port on it that I have my astro mixamp plugged into and then a ground loop isolator + 3.5mm cable to PC. Idk how to replicate that with these headphones lol
These headsets are awesome for multi platform. I ended up selling mine to upgrade for a better sounding headset (Maxwell) but you honestly can’t go wrong with these or nova 7 if don’t need extra features

Do you have any experience running these with Dolby Atmos instead of SS's spacial audio?
Currently have an old pair of g933's and have really grown attached to the sound stage the dolby mode provides over dts x. I'd originally would have got the G Pro X 2, but the lack of Atmos support for newer logitech headsets is a turnoff for me :/.

I use the Airpods for video meetings at work and I wanted to know if the Nova would have better mic since I got complaints while using the Airpods once.
Really wish you would give the Audeze Maxwells a try! Really great planar magnetic gaming headset.

Are these better than a40s? I have been looking for an upgrade that is wireless but I don’t want to compromise.
I got the one for xbox and pc, being able to just turn off my pc and turn on my xbox and my headphones just do it is cool, but I think the COOLEST part about the Nova Pros for me is the act of "reloading" the headphones when they are dead. I hate chargin stuff, other than magsafe or whatever. So just reloading the battery with another already charged battery is the BEST thing in the whole wide world. I got mine when it was still like 350 or whatever, but I've had mine for almost as long as you if not a little while longer. Almost a full year and the ONLY complaint that I have with them (I have the wireless ones, dunno if that makes a big difference) is that the EQ isn't quite what I want for music. It's perfect for games however, but for deep bass and subbass I have to say they aren't as "warm" as I'd like them to be. I listen to a lot of rap and heavy dnb/edm house shit. Solid headphones however, and I don't even use their software anymore. I changed the EQ and then just left it alone.
I also have 2 children, and have abused the absolute dogfuck outta this headset. Dropped on tile floors more times than I can count and NO cracks and barely any scratches, however the caps just fly off and I have to go looking. With the aftermarket replacements, including battery and replacement base dac if you need that as well, this thing is a wonderful buy that can keep on trucking passed any other headset I've ever used in my life. Couple that with active BT WHILE playing a game, so you can hear notifications on your phone IN your game, its just *muah*. Literally the only thing you can rag on this for is the fact that its not warm enough for bassy, punchy music.

I have too many headsets. I am currently using the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for my PC setup, but I bought them back when I was mainly using an Xbox, and now I don’t use the Xbox and instead play on my high-end rig and PS5. Issue being that I got the Xbox version of the headset so it doesn’t like to connect to the PS5 and the PC at the same time (while maintaining all features anyways, since the PC usb port on the back is compatible with PS5 in my testing, but then you don’t get all the features when you connect the Xbox port into the PC). So for my PS5 I am using the Gen 4 Astro A50’s which honestly sound absolutely amazing imo. I also have a couple of other Steelseries headsets that are just cheaper models but fantastic for those times when I get interference with my wireless headsets, not sure how to troubleshoot the interference so I just swap to those when I need to.

Currently using Astro A50. I am able to plug the base station directly into the TV itself so I can get audio from all ports. Can I do this with the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless?
I love my headset I got mine for $100 brand new on Best Buy eBay for Black Friday I think it was… this was like a few months after the head set was released so for like 250 I was happy with my purchase and love the head set till this day there was a problem with the chat mix slider but was resolved a few weeks ago with an update. I really want to get a booster pack maybe in pink it’ll look cool

Hi, would I be able to use a USB switcher o similar product so that I could have even more things connected?
I don’t mean to use them all at once, but so I don’t have to disconnect the USB cable from the PS5 and connect the PC all the time.
I been using original A50 for years.
the biggest issues I had with A50 are, I cannot update base station and headset even I got actual files, and it randomly reset firmware to 0.0.00 where whole thing just bricked. Spending hours trying to fix that was nightmare.

Hi I recently bought these headphones and I am wondering why I am not able to have surround sound. For an example audio that is supposed to be in my left ear is playing through both ears. Also I played with the software and about 20 videos and reddit posts and a lot of things to try to fix this but I am unlucky. I am a sound nerd so I know a bit of stuff but for some reason I can't get this to work. Also it sounds like there is a filter on that makes the sound muffled. I would love to make these headphones work because of the price range...

I still prefer steelseries artic nove pro wireless like aesthetic, i bought them 3 months ago and i love it also the removable battery is very convenient and you don’t have to wait for them to recharge ....IMO the only flaw is that you can not connect more than two devices with bluetooth
If you get Steelseries, just be warned that they will happily tell you to your face that you are shit out of luck if your product goes defective a day after your warranty expires. I know that is how warranties work, but I felt absolutely manipulated when my Arctis Pro Wireless setup lost sound in one of the earcups literally like a week after the warranty expired. They sounded great when they worked, but idk if I can warrant spending $350 every 2 years on headphones. (Edit: or was it 1 year? I forget, its been a while and I've been using the ATH M50x I've had since 2015, still going strong.) That's just me, idk. Maybe my problem was just really unlucky and not a trend, but I'm scared to buy the Nova Pro as much as I want them.

I liked this headset and i used it for a bit over a year before the headset stopped muting. I realised i wasn't the only person having this issue so refunded them and ordered an astro a50x instead.
I stopped wearing over-ear headphones, due to long sessions uncomfortably. So I ended up trying in-ear monitoring buds, and they've been working really well. I have admit though that I still love watching, and checking in on what's good in the over-ear market. I really enjoy the custom jobs on headphones like the ones shown here.

i felt the same way and i was scared about buying the nova. but let me tell you its amazing. 100/100 on convertibility, i even wear my glasses and don't feel any ear pain. i got them for 80$ on ebay. i would def buy them and give them a shot not for 250$ though.
What did you think about the turtle beach stealth headsets?
I love their $100-150 line, but wasn't a fan of the $300+ flagship Stealth Pro

pulse elite or these?
I hated mine and returned them. While feature rich, the bass was so weak compared to my Astro a50 gen 4s that I just couldn't keep them. I spent a week playing around with EQs and any attempt to increase the bass would result in strain and distortion. A great headset for people who hate/dislike bass, which after owning this headset it turns out a lot of people do. Also the mic quality was significantly worse than my A50s.
I have to gen 4 and have constant problems with the base station. Even have replaced it with the $99 base station from Astro
