This is mass-shifting in a real way. To have a truck and trailer the same size as MP-10, to transform the whole unit into a robot that is just only slightly bigger than MP-10 Optimus, in robot mode. That is just mind-mindbogglingly incredible.
Usually I hate super panelly, foldy transformations like the modern MPs have, but this is one case where it’s basically unavoidable due to both the illusion of mass-shifting and also how he’s supposed to look, and he looks absolutely stellar in both modes with basically no visual flaws.
its not that hasbro isnt able to make good transformers, the budget just nearly isnt as high, they have to make WAY more of them then 3rd party does, and they have to pay licenses.
Honestly, they could license Garatron with their Thunderwing figure and/or Planet X and Mastermind Creations with their 2005 IDW continuity and Fall of Cybertron figures with no problem!

Its genuinely impressive how in vehicle mode, he's the same size as MP10 with the truck/trailer combo, but is only slightly bigger than him in robot mode. The whole trailer just compresses into the robot and its cool, real cartoony
I think the best part of this robot is that the purple chest pieces will always be shocked to see you. Probably because you managed to fold him into robot mode.
I would have liked to have seen him next to Zeta's Silverbolt. I know F.T. is doing their own Silverbolt, but some people may be mixing and matching companies.
It's amazing that the entire truck and trailer becomes the robot mode, the only downside I see is that this is going to be the worst case of partsforming ever in combined mode.
That truck mode is the absolute most amazingly realistic that I've ever seen in my life! Almost everything is spot on! And I'm still amazed by that transformation every time I see it! And the robot mode is super cartoony as well, which I think is awesome! This is definitely a must have for me.
And that optional face there I can totally see him have on when he's in that pose he was in when Slingshot shot him from above, he did this one pose while shotting at Slingshot and then jumped onto Slingshot and stating punching his nosecone!
The only thing I don't like about this figure is the big amount of little tiny panels and moving parts necessary to transform it, I think it could have been improved better than that without such complexity and fragility, I know 3rd Party TF's are complex, but this one takes it to ridiculous levels. Anyway, excellent review as always! 👍

God I love Fans Toys! Even though this take on Motormaster - one of my very favorite Transformers of all time - is quite panelicious, the G1 accuracy is amazing. The Transformation looks like it definitely takes patience, but the end result totally justifies those means. My one and only concern with it is that nice chrome grill becoming the bottom of the his feet in robot mode. I can see that thing getting pretty scuffed up over time.
on 1 hand I can't wait for Takara to make a Masterpiece MotorMaster, but on the other hand I'm not looking forward to the $500+ price it will most deffinetly have
This is maybe the only time where I see fake parts and my eyes aren't rolling! They managed to use the real part and make it appear smaller and more cartoonish. No fake front - real back mess. Indeed, overall this is the closest we have to mass shifting!!!
that motor master has the most complicated toy transformation ive ever seen.. that insertion engineering on his feet made me crazy 😂. he'd be a pain in the ass for stop motion 😂😂
I love Transformers with firearms that actually have triggers. About 98% of figure weapons have the peg the figure holds the weapon by, and that's it, no trigger mechanism. It's nice and realistic here.

IMO: While I like the look of the IDW Menasor; this has to be the best MotorMaster I've seen in ages; everything used for robot mode without balance compromising. So without instructions, have you guessed where Menasor's head, hands and feet are?
The one thing I don't like about this bot is that front grill is part of the sole of his feet. I worry I'll scratch it or lose those headlights. The bot is awesome though.
This guy reminds me of nemesis prime just purple btw that's something I want to see in a transformers movie or show that nemesis prime as the main villain not Megatron

I really like Motormaster. Especially since the trailer in his alt mode transforms with the cab in order to form his robot mode!

Motormaster was always the original Nemesis Prime, he just had nothing to do with Optimus. Decepticon coloured truck.
