Cyclonus was like the anti-Starscream. Where Starscream tries to usurp Megatron's rule, Cyclonus on the other hand, you'd have to blow-torch his lips off of Galvatron's butt. lol
@@naturesfinest4871 Interesting. Though actually, if Starscream was in the same situation as Cyclonus, Starscream would have probably saw Megatron's madness as an opportunity to take over the Decepticons like he saw Megatron being near death's door in Transformers The Movie as an opportunity to take over the Decepticons. Cyclonus thought he was doing what he thought was right for his leader to get help so he could better lead the Decepticons. He even went so far as to stick around to check his leader's progress. Cyclonus is actually showing how loyal he was, albeit, he was deceived by the doctors in that alien asylum.
Cyclonus pretty much like Thundercracker is a soldiers soldier. A warrior with a code of honour, loyalty and duty for its master. Which really came to surface in the IDW thing, but is often seen in G1. I do think Cyclonus often bashed his head ... for 'recuing' Galvatron from his plasma bath. Yet he doesn't seek leadership like Starscream did - although he had so much potential to be even better than Galvatron. Loyalty and trust are two different things. Yes, he's bound to Galvatron, but I doubt he trust Galvatron due his instable mind. Hence why he took him to the clinic. Well and in the end ... Galvatron was back... destroying the planet.... like he should with all its potential.:)
@@viowave I could not have described him better myself - and those traits are exactly why he is my favourite Deception ever. He is loyal and smart, and also always more concerned about the welfare of the Decepticons than his own welfare.

I love the transformation. Fans Toys could have just given him an ugly backpack, but they were so creative with it and made the toy look very clean. Kudos.
Is this magic? I'm looking at the small attention to details like the shorter wings in bot mode, the curve on the back of the legs and how nicely the cone slides into his chest... I'm just saying... some voodoo is at play here, right?

"Autobot-scrap!" - Galvatron ... shaking his fist behind a glowing hole in Cyclonus' hull. Just got Quietus and he’s pretty much perfect. Honestly, that cockpit section isn’t meant to sit flush, only almost flush. It’s quite an amazing figure!
I agree with you EmGo, this is one of the best MP style Cyclonus's/Cyclonai. They do some wizardry there, transforming that sleek, stylish jet which looks like it couldn't fit the robot parts in it, yet it transforms into a fully toon accurate robot. Honestly, there is some black magic going there. Looks amazing, even if the transformation is rather complex, and what they did with Nightstick, one of the best Target-Master weapons ever, it did not look like just a folded up robot. It's beyond my price range, but if I could afford it, this would be the Cyclonus that I would get.
I wonder if a 3rd party company will ever make a proper IDW Cyclonus? This is the third piece (including add-ons as figures) that has an "inspired' look but isn't the true look seen throughout his first appearance in Spotlight Cyclonus all the way to Lost Light 25. I just really want some of those IDW designs: the Dinobots,. Earth mode Arcee and Thundercracker. Aileron, Chromedome and Rewind, Lost Light Ratchet and Drift, Nautica, Rung. So much potential but I also wonder how much of an overlap there is between IDW comic fans and figure collectors? I have a bunch of Lost Light inspired figures and IDW Wreckers figures but that's all really.
The hardest thing I find with transformers is some time I can’t tell how much force to use , I feel like some parts might break (which has have in the past ) .
I watched this specifically to see if the underoos plate is supposed to come off. I thought mine was a QC issue. Is there a real reason the codpiece needs to be not superglued or something on?
Alway amazed me as a kid the amount of engineering in transformers to have two of more toys in one, these fans toys have an insane amount of engineering just another level, where do you even start when designing these. The xtb is super poorly made tho. I have it & a ratchet just fell out of his leg when I grabbed it off the shelf this week. I unscrewed his leg & put it back in right but it fell out again on 1st move. The bulky, diecast lower leg is waaaaay too heavy for the baby ratchet used. It's a joke xtb thought it would suffice & now his leg is a floppy mess. Hence why I'm watching this now. Never transformed the xtb & barely even moved it. Plus mine came w/ his arm glued in place. I had 2 take his arm apart, wrap it in towels, & turn it with pliers when new. If all that's TL/DR just buy the fans toys, it's cheaper in price AND better in quality.

Lots of people including myself are having paint scratch issues on the chest. This is an issue FT need to address and fix. As for the cockpit not sitting flush, you need to carve away a little bit of the plastic around that square piece that the cockpit tabs onto.
This is the 1st I've heard about issues with the paint. None of the reviews I've watched or read mentioned it. I don't think it's that widespread. I've transformed mine several times with no paint issues.
Lots of people have reported it on forums. We're talking about customers with the product in hand, not a handful of internet reviewers. Mine was scratched out of the box FFS, as was the paint on the stomach. Paint on die cast is just asking to chip, particularly given how the knees hit it in alt mode. This and the other QC issues are really disappointing.
Are all the new transformers releases so complicated to transform? As far as this figure he looks amazing. Cyclonus is my favorite transformer so it is awesome to see him portrayed so well.
Back when I started collecting Transformers, third party figures weren't that great. In fact, people didn't encourage you to buy them. Now I swear to baby Jesus that the third party figures are way better than the official ones. Never thought I'd say that.
The transformation is pretty cool, it's a shame about the weapon "storage" in vehicle mode. Ah the days when weapons were well concealed in robot AND alt modes... yes the "spring-loaded" Beast Wars figures like Rattrap actually had better storage options than almost any Transformers today. See Peru Kill, pretty much any iteration of Optimus from the recent live-action movies, or of course this figure for the ol' "stick-the-weapons-on-top" storage. Bleh. But yes, this figure is cool, I like how the long, garish nosecone folds up nicely, and the engineering that allows the jet wings to compact so well. The metalic coloring is nice too.
Probably one of the coolest Decepticons of all time. He looks fantastic.
