    • @RogueWraith909
      @RogueWraith909 Год назад +21

      Some don't have breathing problems, my little ole man did snore but breathing was no issue for him. He'd charge around like a nutter for a few hours a day but come 4pm he loved nothing more than squishing himself down the side of me on the chair and going to sleep until dinner time. Pugs LOVE food, so gotta be careful on feeding them and making sure they get enough walkies to stop them getting fat and becoming an even meater meatball. I miss Ted the Pug... he was awesome! I might get another in the future but not yet (maybe a rescue).

Irresponsible breeders breed dogs with issues and that goes for ANY breed ..... i advise anyone that buys any puppy make sure you do your homework fist . find out what the specific breed you are interested in may genitically have problems with . themn find a reputable breeder that fully health tests BOTH parents and chooses carefully when breeding and hey presto you have healthy dogs . Not rocket science just careful selective breeding

      @@ChristineNighting Yeah, they sit so shallowly in the sockets that a pug (and a lot of other similarly smush-faced breeds) can have their eyes pop out at the slightest wrong thing to the head/face area. Pretty sure that had something to do with why one of my stepdad's pugs was missing one of his eyes.

      It happened to a dog in the next town over from me. It made the paper. The owner blamed the groomer and the groomer was like “It can just happen with pugs! I only turned around to get the clippers and his eye was bulging when I turned back!” Groomer paid for all vet bills and felt terrible. The surgery was a success and the pup’s eye was fine after all.

    I always feel so sad for pugs, they're sweet dogs but they can barely breathe most of the time. As someone who has breathing issues myself I can only imagine how it feels for them. I know someone who got one recently, except she got one that had been bred with a longer nosed dog. You wouldn't know looking at him, I wish it was more common practise.

    I enjoy ALL of your videos! There are a lot of channels that I'll like some videos but others I'm like, "Meh.." and I'll fast forward or skip all together. Your editing is spot on but you're also amazing with these animals! You're so "aware" of the animals you know if they're about to shake, bite or bolt! I just thought I'd tell you that I notice your skills and compassion. I know many others do, as well. Thank you for a great channel!

    GWTD has an Amazing way with the animals she grooms. Love how she works to the specific animal's needs & tendencies, & gives due consideration to whether or not the Dog/Cat is used to or afraid of the situation. That alone is Grade AAA+ Gold Standard for me.

    Pugs shed all the time! And this is why I vacuum 2-3x a week! Infact, all of my pugs were extremely good at blowing their costs. I believe shedding is the worst of the breed. Since I no longer show, my current pup , Gemma is a chug from Colorado Pug Rescue. She looks more chi then pug, and is cautious like a chi but her real disposition is pug.
