And at the end his body language spoke that he was convicted as he touched his mouth and chin which is a self comforting touch. The higher the touch on the face, head or hair shows self soothing. He was definitely thinking about what Ray told him. I am praying for these young people for God to gift them with his salvation.

Ray, as a man raised Roman Catholic my whole life, you're the person who shed light on my sin, helped me understand the severity of it, what the crucifixion really meant for us, how to be born again and what it means to be saved, all of which the Catholic Church never taught. All ultimately leading to my conversion to faith alone in Christ in 2020. I love the simplicity in your words and analogies, so much so a child could understand it, reminding me a lot of Paul's means of preaching (1 Corinthians 2:1-4). You're one I've never and could never get tired of watching. I want to thank God and yourselves for the work that's lead me to this point. * When the order of events is different, that's not merely a "zooming in for more details". It's a contradiction. (Events don't happen in different order when we zoom in for details.)
* When the order of events of the crucifixion is different again, that's not a "matter of perspective", it's a contradiction. (Events don't happen in different order for different people.)
* The number of angels wouldn't differ by perspective either. "Perspective" isn't some magic word that fixes contradictions -- it's an admittance that _the accounts are undeniably different_ and that's what a contradiction _is!_
Personally I bring up even clearer contradictions like
* no man and one man has seen God and survived (Gen 32:30 vs. John 1:18)
* with God all things are possible, except the time a thing wasn't possible when God was definitely with Judah (Matthew 19:26 vs. Judges 1:19)
But we don't even have strong, logical evidence of a god _existing,_ so the core, foundational claim of the Bible isn't known to be true. So why bother even worrying about the contradictions? The ideas in it aren't really worth believing in the first place.

@majm4606 I disagree wholeheartedly. Doesn't mean I don't like you though. I don't blame you for trying to stop people from falling into delusion and propogating it. It's how I feel about the propogation of gender politics. It destroys childrens lives and creates mass confusion among them. Christianity however propogates extremely healthy relationship values that have stood the test of time, and the logic behind it all far exceeds that of something like the big bang. I highly suggest you approach it with not necessarily an open mind, but with a mind that desires to find the good in it. To find what it is that changes peoples lives for the better. To find that God loves you, and has made a way for all of your anxieties and fears to be washed away. It's a love letter to us. To you.
@@MatthewManney Friend, I've asked over 500 theists for evidence. They frequently avoid the subject (like you just did; you had an opportunity to just effortlessly slam down strong, logical evidence of a god -- _if you actually had that_ -- and you didn't).
I've watched _countless_ major theologians (most way better than Comfort) try to make their case for god(s). Every single time, they're just bad logic. (And bad logic isn't evidence.) I've literally never heard one argument that was actually evidence of a god. (And this includes the times when some of those 500+ theists actually made an attempt to provide evidence. Nearly always they're just parroting the same bad arguments everyone tries to use -- arguments that often we've known are faulty for over a hundred years.)
The arguments always make mistakes like non sequiturs (arguments that conclude with "a cause" or "a creator" instead of talking about a god), or argument from ignorance (arguments that mention _unknowns,_ and say because those things are unknown it proves we know their explanation was a god) or a variety of other mistakes. Well these aren't trivial mistakes: _bad logic isn't evidence at all._ It's just bad logic.
I pray for salvation for this man. He was locked in on you Ray, and it was awesome. Same with this woman, she was hearing all that you had to say. Praise God she is now saved. We keep learning from you Ray. Good stuff!

I've witnessed many peoples lives that have been changed forever just by hearing the "good news" that is not "pretend politeness," as you say. You don't like it because your conscience starts to bother you.
Thanks for your unwarranted concern, but I'll continue to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ's absorption of God's wrath against man's sin. And the reason I'll do it is because; 1) I'm told to and 2) it's delivered people from their greatest enemy, grievances, addictions, and hopelessness time and time again. And I like helping people, even of some may find it offensive, it's never broken their ears.

A. most believers genuinely believe in god(s). Well that's most often what we mean when we call a person "authentic". (That one's being true _to their feelings/beliefs_ about something.)
B. No believer has strong, logical evidence of a god. So nobody knows it's true. And "not false" is the other meaning of "authentic".
The "B" meaning is a far more worthwhile goal, so personally I just focus on the word "truth" to avoid talking about peoples' feelings, because feelings don't change how reality actually is, and I'm only concerned with the truth of how reality is.

Because yes, as a young adult I also did that. That's why I too know it doesn't work. The difference is I was honest with myself in admitting I didn't know a god existed back then, so I ended up abandoning belief in this non-evidenced idea I didn't know is true.
Can you be honest with _yourself?_ I sure hope so, because _until you can make a SINGLE post of strong, logical evidence of a god_ it's a fact you don't know one exists.

Just recently I typed in Ephesians 2:10 in google search. As she read to me the scripture and I followed along, she then asks me a question! She said doesnt the bible contradict itself because in 2 verses prior it says this and she reads Ephesians 2:8 outloud. I could not believe it! I tried to have her repeat herself, retyping the scripture in google search but she got quiet. This is crazy!

I finally used Ray's style to one of my catholic friends, when I saw an opportunity. I pray before I started for the holy spirit to help me. I felt some eagerness and fire to explain what I can. When I asked him, so when are you gonna repent? He responded "I can't just think of it , not interested, I will focus on my beliefs". Then I gave the parachute sample, if we need to jump out of a plane is he gonna say I'm not interested on the parachute? the he laughed. Also, let him know million dies every year. Told him if he was going to repent now, we will pray together.. Then the conversation ends there. It was the first time to evangelize face to face. I honestly felt it wasn't enough since he looks disagreed to what I shared. Feels like i failed to serve God in that encounter. But I won't stop. i will continue to read the Bible and listen to Godly people so I can share the Gospel the right way. Please pray for me.. In Jesus name!

To HOPE there is nothing after death is absolute HOPELESSNESS. I pray her heart is truly changed and can take great comfort in knowing Jesus cared enough about us before we even existed so that our hope can be found in Him alone.
I know that feeling of hopelessness all too well. The feeling that I'm not worthy of His forgiveness is a sin in itself. From what I understand, hopelessness a sin against the Holy Spirit. Failing to ask forgiveness is the only unforgivable sin. It's a vicious cycle. I'm finally coming around and understanding that we are all worthy of His forgiveness. I pray that woman doesn't lose hope and puts her trust in Jesus.

I was an atheist for many years, and was lovingly challenged by a friend to seek after the truth, because my eternity depended on it. Really just feels like intentionally misleading people, given his videos never present strong, logical evidence of a god. (Somewhat recently he did a similar AI '10 best arguments for god' type vid, but it was all the typical illogical arguments every other theist makes. None of those arguments are logical, which means none are evidence.) And it's because we don't have evidence that I'm saying it's deceptive for people to try to convince others to believe this non-evidenced idea.

2:04 my favorite way of explaining this when I hear people say how the two contradict one another is with with, Matthew 7:21-23 where Jesus says you must do the will of his father (Works) but at the same time you must have faith in Jesus, Galatians 3:26-27 And its also noted how Faith is dead without works, James 2:14-26
It’s hard to articulate.
Salvation is complete through Christ. Romans 4 teaches that Abraham was counted righteous because he believed Gods promise, and that it was written for our sakes too, who believe in Jesus.
If we believe Jesus’ died for our sins and we are made righteous through what Jesus did, and not our own works, we are imputed righteousness from God just like Abraham was.
And this is righteousness is the free gift of God, apart from the works of the law.
We are reconciled to God 100% through what Jesus did and can add nothing to what he did for salvation purposes.
We know this is true because the Bible articulates this multiple times and especially in Romans 4 and 5.
But there are many places in the Bible that press on the importance of obedience to God as followers.
One thing that helps reconcile all of this is in the letters to the churches in revelation, even with a sin as severe as fornication, he only asks the participants to repent.
What it seems to come down to is this :
Anyone seeking forgiveness can have it.
We will never be perfect, we will always need forgiveness, and God is always willing to supply it as we are made whole and complete through Christ.

If Ray convinces people, it's through deception. For example, in this video he acts like the word "perspective" magically fixes the fact that different authors are contradicting each other (the authors are saying there's a different order to events or different numbers of angels at an event, etc). Those things don't vary by perspective. Even if perspectives were unreliable, do you seriously think an all-knowing all-powerful god would _actually communicate in such a horrible way?_ We'd expect such a being to result in _Perfect Communication._ We'd expect them to communicate so perfectly that there's no doubt _exactly_ what they want (resulting in _exactly one_ sect of Christianity). Well remind me: how many hundreds (thousands?) of sects of Christianity are there again?

With the James passage, context also matters. I personally am thinking that James may be written for Jews during the tribulation. But as with all Scripture, it is all there for our learning.

I pray for you that you will become of Christ! Do an internet search of the Bible prophecies that have come to pass. Many which were written about thousands of years ago! The dispersing, the reassembling of Israel (in 1948) is just but one tiny example. Pick up a Bible and start reading. Pray for guidance when reading the Bible and for your life. Pray for finding a Jesus-loving church. Here is a possible acceptance prayer to the Lord, when you’re ready:
“Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, that you died on the cross to rescue me from sin and death and to restore me to the Father. I choose now to turn from my sins, my self-centeredness, and every part of my life that does not please you. I choose you. I give myself to you. I receive your forgiveness and ask you to take your rightful place in my life as my Savior and Lord. That makes you realize what a terrible person you are in God's eyes . It makes you feel sorrow for your sins . It's a repentance and turning from your sins . It's not a Natural , logical discission . It's a totally Humbling experience . . Jesus said for anyone to even come to him you must be drawn by the Father .

It is heartbreaking that these young people are w/out hope. One says she’d rather there not be life beyond death because once was enough and the other says he hopes he dies when he’s in his fifties. 🥺 Please pray for all the young people who are being attacked relentlessly.

There seems to be about forty writers of the bible. About a dozen or so wrote the NT. All of them are said to be highly important, scholars, deified or sanctified. For example John is said to write revelation when he is about 90 years old and in a Roman prison. Oddly, the most important and saintly person in the entire bible never writes a single word. A well educated and intelligent jewish man wanders the 'holy' land for four years doing amazing things but never writes a single word. This is beyond belief. jewish scholars write, heaps.
Instead, jesus allows a pack of liars to put contradictory words into his mouth decades and centuries after his death. Stupidly the "christian" religion gets his birth date wrong, even today. Easter is a mess. jesus was not born in Bethlehem, not in the reign of Herod, there was no 'return to base' census and there was no flight into Egypt.
Far too much of "christian" dogma was added years after jesus death, including virgin birth, the trinity, sanctification, ascension, transubstantiation, inerrancy, papal infallibility and indulgences.
The so called gospel is superstition and highly contrived and should not be inflicted on the fearful or the very young.
Aiden's interview is one of my all time favorites. What a genuine and inquiring young man.
