Evidence for Jesus Christ’s existence, crucifixion, and disappearance from the tomb (He rose from it):
The Lord Jesus Christ did exist, gathered disciples, and was crucified and went missing from the tomb. To argue about wether He was taken from the grave or rose from it, is an argument a skeptic can make. Because well if you disregard the eye witness testimony of the disciples and there willingness to die for Christ, and humans won’t die for something they know is a lie, when Peter is pinned upside down to that cross, he could have said that it was a fake, but He didn’t because it wasn’t, what care would he have about death in this world if he knew for a fact he had assurance of a life in another, Jesus Christ did rise from the tomb and is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now the evidence for the Lord Jesus Christ’s existence really isn’t hard to find a multitude of non-Christian scholars and historians mention Him within 150 years after the time of His life. One such is Tacitus a Roman historian who reported on emperor nero’s decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed rome in 64 AD. Tacitus wrote:
“Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…”
In this Tacitus makes reference to not only Christians, but Christ calling Him Christus and confirming the Gospels going on to say that He suffered the extreme penalty (crucifixion) under the reign of Tiberius and by the sentence of Pontius Pilate, which like I said confirms the Gospels narrative.
Another important source of evidence about Jesus and early Christianity can be found in the letters of Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan. Pliny was the Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. In one of his letters, dated around A.D. 112, he asks Trajan's advice about the appropriate way to conduct legal proceedings against those accused of being Christians. Pliny says that he needed to consult the emperor about this issue because a great multitude of every age, class, and sex stood accused of Christianity. At one point in his letter, Pliny relates some of the information he has learned about these Christians:
“They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food - but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.”
This passage provides a number of interesting insights into the beliefs and practices of early Christians. First, we see that Christians regularly met on a certain fixed day for worship. Second, their worship was directed to Christ, demonstrating that they firmly believed in His divinity. Furthermore, one scholar interprets Pliny's statement that hymns were sung to Christ, "as to a god", as a reference to the rather distinctive fact that, "unlike other gods who were worshipped, Christ was a person who had lived on earth." If this interpretation is correct, Pliny understood that Christians were worshipping an actual historical person as God! Of course, this agrees perfectly with the New Testament doctrine that Jesus was both God and man.
You may have heard of the scholar Flavius Josephus who mentioned James as being the brother of the Lord Jesus Christ, which matches what Paul said calling James “The Lord’s brother” and there is another document that Josephus may have written which goes:
“About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.”
Now it’s up to debate wether this is the entirely original document of what Josephus wrote, or if a Christian had edited it. But regardless he wrote about the Lord Jesus Christ. Wether it was negative or positive like the possible document is. Anyways there are many other statements, documents, letters, and writings of all sorts from the ancient world talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and there is not one question if He was a real person or if He was crucified and went missing from the grave. That is clear as day, He is a real person, was crucified, and went missing from the grave. And He did rise from the grave. And for more evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s the Bible and you see there is no evidence the Bible is corrupted, a lie, created by the Roman government, folktale. It is the recount of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, now wether you want to believe it is up to you. And what profit was there in spreading Christianity, All the early Christian suffered persecution, beatings, and were killed. Another Scholar reported that James the Lord’s Brother was thrown off a building and then stoned to death for spreading the Gospel in Jerusalem. These people went to great lengths even giving their own lives for the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
As a professor, he is sooo humble to say those words of insecurity " I don't know how... ", " I'm afraid.. ", the Kingdom of God goes straight to him!
Ray, when you speak of the Passover, the Biblical necessity to put blood on the door and necessity to eat the unblemished lamb in order for the angel of death to passover your home, then when Jesus begins his public ministry John the Baptist references Jesus, "Behold the Lamb of God", and Jesus Himself says emphatically & repeatedly, "Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life within you." And then the night before Jesus' death He broke Bread with his Apostles and commanded them, "Do this in memory of me" How can you ignore Jesus' command which is so clearly what happens at every Catholic Mass thru His Priesthood that has literally been handed on from the 12 Apostles on up to the present-day. Why would you, as a Protestant, reject this central mystery of Jesus Christ of receiving the Body and Blood, offered in the appearance of wine and bread, just as Jesus did at the Last Supper and commanded us all to do? You speak of hell often, but have you no fear of God for rejecting what is most central to Revelation? Surely you are aware that for the first 1,500 years of the Church this celebration of the Eucharist, the Body & Blood of Christ, in the Divine Liturgy, i.e. the Catholic Mass was what ALL Christians did until Fr Martin Luther, a German Catholic priest, rebelled and without any authorization from God - protested the Catholic Church and started his own church and now there are thousands of splintered, divided Protestant "Christian" churches that, along with you, reject the Eucharist and priesthood of Jesus Christ and new covenant of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?
First, let's use logic as a real Christian, of the Bible (the Word of God) and not a denomination/religion.
*High heels* , why is it bad?
High heels makes one much taller than they are.
So, it's like they are deceiving/lying to people.

Why do women use makeup but men can't?
Because it's for women?

Because society made it that way?

But, why do people think there are different rules for men and women to enter Heaven?
Why will a man *without* makeup enter Heaven and a woman *with makeup* enter Heaven also?
Because the woman won't.
Where in the Bible does it say, "Women can use makeup, but men can't." ?

So, why do "Christian" women use makeup?
Because society made it that way.
Are Christians of the world?

Then, why do they obey the rules of society as an excuse?

If men can't wear makeup because they will go to Hell Fire (lava), the rule applies to women too.

Men that wear makeup are sons of Jezebel.
Women that wear makeup are daughters of Jezebel.
@@TedEhioghae you have really taken those verses out of context and even somewhat twisted them.
Isaiah is referring to ankle bracelets, bangles. High heels don't tinkle but bangles do. The reason the Lord judged them was because they were proud and wore all the things mentioned in a prideful showy way, and pride IS a sin. You said high heels are deceptive but that goes to motive. Surely you do not know the motive of every woman who wears high heels. If it is pride the sin is pride, not wearing them. It's not deceptive for a woman to want to be a little taller. Vanity possibly but again goes back to motive and only the woman wearing them knows why. Some women just like them.
John 15 only applies if wearing make up is a sin. First off Jezebel was not a prostitute, she was the wife of King Ahab and an evil idolater. No where does the Bible say or allude that she was promiscuous. Why that was pointed out is not clear, the new testament is clear that women should wear things modestly, their clothes, their hair and appearance which would include make up. Assuming Jezebel put on make I would see it as excess.
Make up is not for men for the same reason women's clothing is not for men, to give the appearance of being feminine.
We have liberty in Christ and unless the Bible expressly prohibits something it is a matter of conscience. When we start dictating to the conscience of others we become legalistic. It was not sinners Jesus took issue with, it was the legalistic Pharisees.
Finally, wearing make up, or any of these other things, has no bearing on whether or not someone goes to heaven. We all, men and women alike, will go on the basis of God's grace and mercy resulting in repentance and faith.
God's word is true. He resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. This man is showing humility and God WILL give him grace,💙🙏

@@PierceHart-777this reminds me of the times in the Bible someone sees an angel of the Lord and they must be so powerful that it is terrifying, so the first words out of their mouth is”fear not”… when we first recognize our precarious position it causes us to be afraid of what God should do to us if He is truly just,and we know He is all powerful, so when we take that fear and learn to trust Him with our fear and troubles He is merciful, Hallelujah ❤

As a former college instructor myself, I was impressed with this professor's humility and genuine repentance. Many of the professors that I worked with were filled with pride, and it's not often you see something like this in academia.
I often think of pride as being a mask for fear.
Pride is what will keep a man out of heaven! The broad way is mans way! The narrow is GOD’s way! Its being saved by GOD’s love! Whats more narrow than to be saved by someone elses love??? No room for pride! John3:16 for GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son! Jesus loved perfectly even thru the cross and untill his last breath making a perfect love or a HOLY satisfaction for GOD the father or a propitiation!

This man has been touched by the Holy Spirit urging, and he has answered the Holy Spirits call to Salvation. He brought tears to my eyes with his sincere desire to be saved. What a wonderful and merciful God we have.
I too, am a Jewish believer. I turned 25 on the 28th of July, and it was Isaiah 53 which spoke to my heart, made me cry out to the living God, repent of my sins, asking for forgiveness, and on and on I could go.

As a fellow Jewish believer in Jesus, I’m elated at how the Spirit has worked in this man. That was me 23 years ago. I was seeking God, but couldn’t find Him in the synagogue. @@MPFXTwhy do you think Christians don’t do it. At quite some churches perhaps not every week, but the church where I grew up in, in the Netherlands we do it every week. Feels quite presumptuous.
Do you really know how often Ray Comfort doed this. And to be honest, if you are showing people they are in need of the Messiah, it’s not about the taking of the communion which is the body and the blood of Christ. At that moment. That’s for when you’ve repented and trust in Jeshua. He was talking about the blood of the Lam, because Jews know this and Jeshuah is the real lamb. Once we’re saved, it’s very important.
@@saskiaverhulst2302 Jesus instituted the Eucharist at the Last Supper WITH HIS CHOSEN 12 APOSTLES. Every Catholic priest on the face of the earth can trace their lineage literally "handed on" from the 12 Chosen Apostles. The bread and wine that people symbolically eat in Protestant services is not the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ thru the priesthood of Jesus Christ offered on the altars at every Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world!
You're right about presumption - why do Protestants think they can deviate from what God ordained for His Church and without any authority from God start their thousands upon thousands of splintered, fractured and man-made Churches and make-up their own rules and misinterpretations. Passing around wonder bread and grape juice is not the Sacred Eucharist.
@@saskiaverhulst2302 Yes, Jesus is Truly Present in the Eucharist at every Mass. You're right it's not about bread (like you get at Protestant services - merely bread). It's about Jesus - Body, Blood, Soul & Divinity that we receive at every Catholic Mass offered every day throughout the world...
"Give us this day our daily bread" v.53 and countless typologies in the Old Testament (manna as bread from heaven that the Israelites literally ate when in the desert, the Passover & necessity to eat the lamb, etc.) and New Testament, This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me...This is my blood.." (Scripture doesn't say this is merely symbolic so then what gives you the authority to say it is merely symbolic?), “‘I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.’
The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, ‘How can this man give us [His] flesh to eat?’
Jesus said to them, ‘Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life within you.

When he asked, “That’s all it takes?” that struck a cord with me.. I was a non believer and internally l felt completely lost and purposeless and was LOSING HOPE. Then god sent someone into my life who changed it all for me, a friend, and literally I said to my self. F*** IT. I’m just going to TAKE A LEAP OF FAITH and say that I believe, no matter how much I doubt it. It LITERALLY took a leap of faith. I just DID it. Surrendered as much as I KNEW I could. I burst into tears when he said, "I'm scared." My wife says, 'You have problems." She didn't know the context, but to see the wheels turning made my day. I remember coming to faith as a Jew , hearing the sermon on the mount quoting from the 10 comandments, it convicts you , all the prophecies , it makes you so excited seeing it fulfilled , finding the true Jewish Messiah is the best thing that could ever happen to me to any jew.

I was literally balling my eyes out. This had me repenting and crying out to God even though I've been a Christian for over 10 years and served in ministry. He’s like me when I got saved last year at 45. If you were never exposed to prayer or the Bible, you truly don’t know how to pray. It makes me sad sometimes that people can live so long without finding out about Jesus or anyone sharing the gospel with them. I was that person.

I have watched probably hundreds of videos from Living Waters, and this one is one of the most touching to me. How amazing to see this man's heart so soft and ready to received the gospel.
Unfortunately a person can’t be born again simply be saying a prayer. Baptism is when conversion happens as we see in all the examples of the early disciples ministering salvation in the Book of Acts, also in Jesus words in John 3:3-5, Matt 28:19, Mark 16:16, also Paul in Romans 6:3-5 and Peter in Acts 2:38. RAY COMFORT preaches repentance well which is wonderful but as we see in Acts 2:38 it is just the change of mind that leads to conversion by being born out of water. So many examples in the Book of Acts. The writer just says they got baptized to mean they got born again or saved. Someone get Ray to read the historical records of the Book of Acts. Scripture must be taken together. You can’t take a few verses out of context. Read them all, then stand back and ask the Holy Spirit for the truth. The Ethiopian Eunuch asked, ‘here is water. Why can’t I be baptized’. Why was he wanting baptism. It must have been what Phillip was preaching. As soon as he understood and believed, he wanted to be baptized. Lord help us, and especially Ray Comfort, to see and be corrected. Moreover if we come to get baptized and believe we are already saved by a prayer, there will be no faith since faith is based on understanding. And no spiritual conversion and no freedom from sin, bondage and guilt. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Praise God. I have been working on my Jewish neighbor whom I unofficially adopted as my grandmother. She prayed with me the other day right before she was placed on hospice. I am now her full time caregiver, and I am so grateful to God for answering my prayers and softening her heart to receive Jesus! So beautiful that God hears our prayers and answers them at the ryt time.

This is the best evangelistic encounter I've seen with Ray. We can't forget the seeds we're getting sown for years, but also seeing the man's genuine responses with questions to the gospel was so real. "Wow." "I'm afraid" "Is that all it takes?" And "I dont know how [to pray]". And he came being concerned about his soul. True holy-spirit driven humility. Praise the Lord. I dated a Jewish man when I was walking my own path and not the Lord's. But he helped me to understand the old testament deeper. And as I read Exodus and all the books, my understanding of the gospel of Jesus comes alive and so much more. Why would you, as a Protestant, reject this central mystery of Jesus Christ of receiving the Body and Blood, offered in the appearance of wine and bread, just as Jesus did at the Last Supper and commanded us all to do? You speak of hell often, but have you no fear of God for rejecting what is most central to Revelation? Surely you are aware that for the first 1,500 years of the Church this celebration of the Eucharist, the Body & Blood of Christ, in the Divine Liturgy, i.e. the Catholic Mass was what ALL Christians did until Fr Martin Luther, a German Catholic priest, rebelled and without any authorization from God - protested the Catholic Church and started his own church and now there are thousands of splintered, divided Protestant "Christian" churches that, along with you, reject the Eucharist and priesthood of Jesus Christ and new covenant of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?

Catholics are intimately aware of the objections brought against the Church by Protestants like you and Mr. Comfort, but we just roll our eyes and move on. If it were that obvious that we were practicing necromancy, then I think more and more people would flee the Catholic Church, so you have to ask yourself, why can so many Catholics (myself included, a former Southern Baptist) believe that Catholicism is the fullness of truth and be able to defend it with the Bible itself (yes, even the 66 books we agree on). We as Protestants do not reject Christs priesthood as the ONLY high priest, but we reject your priests that stand in the place of and usurp our Lords place. The Lord does not offer himself again and again, and neither does the priest. Christ Jesus offered himself once only once for all sins and the book of Hebrews teaches this. Therefore the sacrifice of the mass is a lie.
John 6 has NOTHING to do with the Eucharist. The pagan and Babylonian dragon worship is the roots of your Roman rituals every mass.

I was in tears this whole video. Thank you God. Growing up in and near a jewish neighborhood I developed a love for them. This touched my heart. He was so yearning. I'm glad Ray didn't let him go at the end of the interview.
Ray, when you speak of the Passover, the Biblical necessity to put blood on the door and necessity to eat the unblemished lamb in order for the angel of death to passover your home, then when Jesus begins his public ministry John the Baptist references Jesus, "Behold the Lamb of God", and Jesus Himself says emphatically & repeatedly, "Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life within you." And then the night before Jesus' death He broke Bread with his Apostles and commanded them, "Do this in memory of me" How can you ignore Jesus' command which is so clearly what happens at every Catholic Mass thru His Priesthood that has literally been handed on from the 12 Apostles on up to the present-day. Why would you, as a Protestant, reject this central mystery of Jesus Christ of receiving the Body and Blood, offered in the appearance of wine and bread, just as Jesus did at the Last Supper and commanded us all to do? You speak of hell often, but have you no fear of God for rejecting what is most central to Revelation? Surely you are aware that for the first 1,500 years of the Church this celebration of the Eucharist, the Body & Blood of Christ, in the Divine Liturgy, i.e. the Catholic Mass was what ALL Christians did until Fr Martin Luther, a German Catholic priest, rebelled and without any authorization from God - protested the Catholic Church and started his own church and now there are thousands of splintered, divided Protestant "Christian" churches that, along with you, reject the Eucharist and priesthood of Jesus Christ and new covenant of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass?

He was a man seeking after Jesus, but was so afraid to receive Him in his life and in his heart. He came in humble, as a little child, and Ray brought him on the right path! The story of the prodigal son always brings me to tears...🙏
