I've read up on how athletes and coaches use lactate readings to improve performance. It is so effective for cyclist teams that it is not allowed during race in like the tour de france. Amazing technology and use.
@@Gws525 well to be fair the system is designed to give rankings to the most consistent point scorer who does all the WTS races. That doesnt mean they become the world champion. as blummenfelt still won that. but due to Blu not racing as much WTS he now has lost that top spot
@@connorfletcher5201 But it's not the same distance. And not everyone knows that because too many children are taught wrong and believe 1600m is a mile.
The dread that creeps into every pro triathlete's voice every time you mention Norwegians 😂
Hell yeah! More triathletes, please :)
love seeing the triathletes on here
As a First Time Ironman runner in 29 days this is inspiration!!! Keep up the content!!
What a beautiful place to train
For the imperial folks: that is 2 mile repeats and 1 mile repeats :-)
He won Dubai 70.3, good catch.
Cool run! Please keep making these great videos and never stop! Thank you! New sub! :)

What does the machine in the 0:04 ?
Mesuring blood lactate
Sweat Elite thanks for the content! How do you manage to film them from the front while riding your bike?
About 18+ mile session sheesh. (4 warmup, 12 workout, at least 2 cooldown)
Great plave to train, feels like you’re in a movie

so what were the lactate values for the session?
Marten Van Riel is the real deal.
How tall is Nicolai?
Awesome to see there will be strenght session and swim too
Hi, may I know how long was the recovery between the rep? thanks
I'm curious how the power meter values align with the lactate values in Marten's runs.
🇧🇪 diepe buiging voor deze mannen

Le principal c'est qu'il soit performant et heureux dans sa pratique 😀

Triathlon is gruelling. Or am I the only one that says this because I have never tried?
Viva belgium 🇧🇪
So fast like me 😁
Jacob kiplimo work out please 🥺
Marten has a bit of abductory twist on his left feet. He's a pretty solid runner but watching that feet twisting is a little painful.
How is he number 1? Seems like the ranking system is flawed when is clearly not number 1 at any distance.
number 1 on points in WTS. pretty simple really
@@jamesd5241 yes, exactly. A points system that leaves someone who is clearly not no.1, as no.1. Hence my initial point.

@@jamesd5241 wow my comment did not age well hahah! He just smoked everyone in Dubai . Maybe the points system is perfect

The man with the mask is just ridiculous
Why not just call it 3x2 mile 6x mile
Because they (marten is from belgium) use the metric system 😉
3.2K isn't 2 miles. When I grew up we ran yards and meters.
@@jesperjinkhaar7891 yeah i know but surely it is more than a coincidence that they did 3.2 and 1.6 which also happens to be roughly 2 and 1 miles
@@thegreatalyssa everyone knows that but i dont think 18 metres makes the difference in a training session doing it 3 times

4:30/km for 30 minutes 😅
Oh man that's my whole workout for the day 😂
