People organizing triathlon really have to pay attention with those carpet covering holes. Had the same thing happened to me in a race and nearly sprained my ankle. Really frustrating !
Yeah carpets hiding holes are disasters waiting to happen. Organisers should either make sure there are absolutely no holes or uneven surfaces, or (better yet) avoid carpets.
I watched the Tokyo Olympics again and I had to check the results to see Martin finished 4th, I did not see him on the run but in the group. Martin, that is some achievement man, 3rd Olympics incoming and you will join a select few to have done that.

Wtcs Kitzbuehel was actually my first ever WTCS race!! It’s a pity there has never been a similar course anymore..
