I loved the two designers you featured in this episode. So vastly different in terms of their passion, from complex stitched garments to equally complex toys. What amazing imaginations they have to dream up these creations just for us! ❤
You are great Andrew what ever knitting you do, why do we think we need to race every thing we do, you do it at your own speed and enjoy it keep up with the great work.
I have only knitted one of Jennifer Wood's designs. However I have to say it is one of my favorite pieces and fits so well and was so clearly written. She is such a great designer. Love her work.
The crocheted animals had me smiling while watching. Never cared for the toys, but I got a request years ago to make a poodle from a Red Heart pattern. After making it, I loved it! Never made another because I stopped crocheting due to a wrist injury so I changed back to knitting. Never really saw any other animal projects that enticed me since till now. Thanks for having her as a guest.
Andrea, the colour combinations in your St. Lunaire Griquet sweater are absolutely stunning. All the thought you put into which colour to choose certainly paid off.
Thanks for another very enjoyable episode...Jennifer Woods is wonderful! I would definitely have needed to watch the tutorial to work out how to thread the little beads on the thick wool! Just another thing (amongst so many!) I’ve learnt from your podcasts. 😄
Oh and of course your underarm tutorial...that was terrific, thank you! I usually close holes afterward with needle and thread but will be doing this in future.
I’m not a crochet person, and don’t want to start a new hobby, but I love the designs and skill you and your guests have shared. I think we “fiber-folks” love this amazing talent pool you share with us. Once again, a beautiful show. Your colour search resulted in the most perfect combination. I appreciate the tips you have on getting the right fit, including putting aside the cardigan until Madeleine is home, as well as the possible chore of ripping back. Such a lesson in quality knitting. I hope people become Patreon subscribers. For the cost on a special coffee a month, we get such quality.
Agree with everything you say. I've found myself becoming more open minded and curious about new techniques, designs and designers. Like you, I'm not super drawn to crochet, though I can crochet... but I was absolutely fascinated by Megan's segment. That's happened to me over and over since I subscribed to this podcast and to Fruity Knitting's patreon community. Totally worth every penny.
Another great episode, Andrea and Andrew. They are always so interesting and inspiring, with the added bonus of wonderful music. And Bing Crosby today! My mum loved him, so I grew up listening to his wonderful voice, and whenever I hear him it brings Mum close again. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much Andrea for the closing gaps at the underarm tips....that is an issue i have been struggling with on a baby sweater....your technique and explanation are superb. Love your show...everything demonstrates excellence and loveliness. Andrew and you do a superb job. Greetings from Wales.
I really enjoyed Jennifer's interview!! She is so inspiring! Her explanations were clear and precise. Wow, was Megan's work ever impressive! Works of art for sure! Thanks for another great episode.
Loved this episode! Can't wait to try a Jennifer Wood pattern. As always I enjoyed seeing Andrew and Andrea's work, too. I am in a life transition right now but hope to be able to start supporting your show and several other podcasts I watch on a regular basis soon. And thank you to all the viewers who are currently supporting Fruity Knitting and other podcasts. You not only make it possible for these shows to continue, but also make them available to those of us who can't quite budget for the financial support. I don't know what I'd do without vlogs, blogs and podcasts. The crochet segment really hit home with me. I have just finished a two month assignment teaching crochet squares while also creating a crocheted undersea scene. This will all culminate in a yarn bombing event supporting the NGO education program that is sponsoring the event. So, I was really feeling those fantastic creatures! I have just started using crochet without patterns to make 3-D objects. I hope I can come up with some ideas half as good in the future. Thanks for presenting all these fiber artists. It is a pleasure to learn about all their amazing work.
I actually came over from Crafty Intentions Facebook page in an attempt to know more about her and her designs. I just want to comment as a fellow entrepreneur on your not wanting to make a behind the scenes video... we have a saying in the computer game space. No one wants to see how the sausage actually gets made. Your video is really informative, well edited and your guests are delightful. I have always been a fan of fiber arts though I learned basic crochet from my mother. My grandmother used to make amazing Irish lace and my mother made children's toys and purses with crochet. Thank you for an enjoyable time and the wonderful hosting.
This was a wonderful episode! I enjoyed every segment. That dragon was absolutely stunning! Such a creative mind she has. Then the gorgeous cables and lace I was so impressed with her that she makes me want to try out her patterns. You can just see how much both of your guests loved what they do, their eyes sparkled with excitement. Thank you for all your hard work both of you for putting on this amazing episode. You never disappoint us!

I loved this episode. It has made me want to take the plunge and design my own knit patterns. I have always wanted to and now I am going to give it a try. Thank you so much for your podcast.
A great interview with a really lovely designer. I didn‘t know Jennifer Wood before, so thank you for the opportunity to get to know her. I will defintely have a look throught her list of designs! Oh, and your pullover fits you very nicely.
you've made my day, Andrea and Andrew :) I'm sitting here, knitting Jennifer Woods' Dandelion Wish and notification pops up with your new video about underarms holes I tend to struggle with and an interview with my favorite designer. thank you so much, your timing is impecable

Beautiful job on your jumper. I love the stitches and colorwork and thank you so much for the tips on the arm holes. Also, WOW! Jennifer Wood!!!! I am completely humbled!
Oh my heart. I have loved Jennifer's designs for some time, but now I have a whole new level of appreciation for her design skills. And I did not realize she was a Tennessee girl! I am an Appalachian transplant to the Midwest and hearing her accent this morning has made me so very homesick 💚
Great episode! I really appreciate the technical videos and content that talks about shaping and sizing. I recently had a double mastectomy and have been trying to think through how to modify knitting for my changed body. It’s a work in progress for sure LOL!
Wow, what an episode! First Andrea, your pullover is absolutely gorgeous! The colors and fit are sublime. When you lifted your arm, at one point, I watched to see if the whole sweater lifted up with it, and it didn't. Your skills are amazing. I have swimmer's shoulders so I can never find tops to fit me in stores. The armholes are always gigantic in ready-to-wear tops to accommodate my big shoulders and large biceps and then the chest area is way too big for my tiny bust. When I watch how you custom fit your garments it is inspiring. One day I will have the time to try to fit for my body. (I work long hours full-time and don't have much time to knit, so this is a "one day" wish.) Second, Jennifer was fantastic. So inspiring and creative. Third, Megan was very impressive. Fourth, the story of your childhood was charming. Fifth, Andrew is such a great guy! He always makes me laugh! I love his humor. Thank you once again for a great episode. I am happy to be a patreon and I hope that everyone who watches, (binge watchers... I'm talking to you) puts their money where their interest is ... in you!
Just finished watching. The song "Beautiful Dreamer" was one my grandma and dad used to play together on the piano and guitar. I learned to play it on piano when I we quite young. It brought back memories. I'm a knitter, so I will be looking up Jennifer Wood, and sharing this video. Thankyou for all your hard work.
You got me laughing, Andrea, with your statement about living your previous life in the Baroque era...you just keep stretching those boundaries of color & pattern convention, because your results are spectacular!! Great job!
It was a pleasure to watch the interview. I^m now going to find Jennifer on Instagram to make sure I don't miss her class on adjusting patterns. Such helpful tips! And not to forget, your choice of music for this episode - loved it.
Excellent interview with Jennifer Woods. I have been working on Jolie, which is one of her patterns. Also crocheted animals are beyond stunning. I knit stuffed toys but this knitters put me in awe.
