My hair is well past my shoulders and shrinks to my ears that’s how tight my curls are! No one has just one curl pattern! I’m more concerned with the health over definition and hair type. Yes ! I use the Camilla rose moose which has been a game changer but I knew I needed something to combine it with these two products together can actually go a very long ways . I know the moose alone does . I am going to try this
its actually not that hard either. People want their hair to look like 4b and 4a so they be trying to overmanipulate and become upset when it doesn't do what they see on social media. Cleanse, Condition and Style. You only need 1-2 products to style as well. I've simplified my hair routine and its actually fun to do my hair. I don't work against it, I work with my curls/coils
Regardless of the hair type, cuz yall are something else, I suggest you guys put a lot of the product ur using for ur wash and go and I suggest raking ur fingers through it there’s many videos out there to help you out ❤❤ hers came out nice but there’s ways for a lot of more definition and etc practice makes perfect I’ve been doing my hair for 6-7 years now (make sure whatever product yall use is healthy for ur hair and not drying bc it’s not gonna be good for health in long run) Stay blessed

Try without the gel and just mousse. I’ve had similar issue and moose after shampoo, condition, and detangling gets me right. I keep the style for 2-3 days then redo. Hope this helps!!

I feel like 4c is related to the curl pattern. My hair is mostly 4c and it doesn't curl like that in those areas I get coils instead,that's the 4c pattern. Hii, I'm sixteen and I'll admit I'm not a professional when it comes to telling curl patterns apart. The only one I'm entirely sure of is mine which is 4c, and I'd respectfully like to say her hair isn't 4c. It might be mixed with 4c but it's pretty obvious that it's mostly 4b. I've seen loads of 4c hair textures cuz most of my friends have it too and it doesn't look like this, even when wet. Some people might say it's moisturized that's why hers looks like this but I don't think 4c hair could do this. Even confirmed with my sister, she's got 4b hair and she said her looks just like this and I agree. Love your hair though, it's so full and long ✨
At this point I think we can come to a consensus that there are different variations of 4c hair type. The folks who say that this is not 4c hair type are among the folks who have very tight coils, almost like wooly texture, ( myself included). My daughter has her type of coil pattern and these products work well for my daughter, but I could never get the same curl pattern with these products even though my daughter and I have the same haircare routine.
This is undeniably type 4 hair. Natural hair RUclips has YET to clearly demonstrate the difference between a,b, and c type 4s. I pray that we banish the hair type system as we know it. It's divisive and confusing as hell.

She may 4b/4c with more 4b and/ or have fine strands. I think if your 4c hairs are thick, the coils wont be as visible since it wont be easily weighted down by product. What's important is the hair is moisturized, soft, pliable, and thick/no breakage.

What upsets me about videos like this is that the actual blogger did not do her research and is giving false hope to people with a different pattern of curl. Their curls will be tighter. They can stretch the curls but unless they do larger finger coils or some other type of manipulation their hair won’t be this loose.
I am the definition of a wash n go in the shower. Leave-in i. The shower and a twist on each side. Tie with a sating scarf, and i am done. I can't be DOIN all of that extra stuff! Looks pretty, though. I do my wash n go each day spring/summer, and in the evening for the fall/winter.

This looks nice. I do this, but in the shower. For me, soaking wet hair provides the best curl definition.
I usually apply on soaking wet hair as well, except for If I want to get less shrinkage I’ll apply on damp like this

Try without the gel and just mousse. I’ve had similar issue and moose after shampoo, condition, and detangling gets me right. I keep the style for 2-3 days then redo. Hope this helps!!

I feel like 4c is related to the curl pattern. My hair is mostly 4c and it doesn't curl like that in those areas I get coils instead,that's the 4c pattern. I think at this point we all should know that that chart of hair types its solely about the way your hair curls and her doesn't coil like 4c hair its suppose to.

Hii, I'm sixteen and I'll admit I'm not a professional when it comes to telling curl patterns apart. The only one I'm entirely sure of is mine which is 4c, and I'd respectfully like to say her hair isn't 4c. It might be mixed with 4c but it's pretty obvious that it's mostly 4b. I've seen loads of 4c hair textures cuz most of my friends have it too and it doesn't look like this, even when wet. Some people might say it's moisturized that's why hers looks like this but I don't think 4c hair could do this. Even confirmed with my sister, she's got 4b hair and she said her looks just like this and I agree. Love your hair though, it's so full and long ✨

At this point I think we can come to a consensus that there are different variations of 4c hair type. The folks who say that this is not 4c hair type are among the folks who have very tight coils, almost like wooly texture, ( myself included). My daughter has her type of coil pattern and these products work well for my daughter, but I could never get the same curl pattern with these products even though my daughter and I have the same haircare routine.
This is undeniably type 4 hair. Natural hair RUclips has YET to clearly demonstrate the difference between a,b, and c type 4s. I pray that we banish the hair type system as we know it. It's divisive and confusing as hell.

I think if your 4c hairs are thick, the coils wont be as visible since it wont be easily weighted down by product.
What's important is the hair is moisturized, soft, pliable, and thick/no breakage.

A LOT of yall dont seem to realize when you stretch the tiny coil/curl(that is 4c) it turns into a kinda s wave pattern...4c hair is the smallest curl..but if its stretched and mosturized this is how it looks. Period. It's time to come out of the dark lol

What upsets me about videos like this is that the actual blogger did not do her research and is giving false hope to people with a different pattern of curl. Their curls will be tighter. They can stretch the curls but unless they do larger finger coils or some other type of manipulation their hair won’t be this loose.
I am the definition of a wash n go in the shower. Leave-in i. The shower and a twist on each side. Tie with a sating scarf, and i am done. I can't be DOIN all of that extra stuff! Looks pretty, though. I do my wash n go each day spring/summer, and in the evening for the fall/winter.

Curl pattern is based on the size of the curl, so the diameter of a 4c curl is about the size of a spring in a small pen. While 3c can wrap around a pen snuggly. 4a can wrap around a straw (if spiraled, yet some are s shaped) and 4b is in-between the diameter of a straw and the diameter of a small coiled pen spring.
I hope this all made sense. I know it can be difficult for people to find their hairtype for style ideas. It's harder a video says 4c when it isn't 4c or has very little 4c. I don't have 4c, but my husband has 4b/4c and his hair is tighter than yours too. The woman I sent the video of has even tighter curls than my husband does. So yours is appears to be 4a/4b. 4a in the front and some 4b all around, maybe even some 4c in the midst of it, but doesn’t seem to be there primarily. Either way, It looks beautiful. God bless you!

the woman in video you put has short 4a hair . The lady in this video had her hair in twists so it was more stretched out then usual which made it look more like it would be 4b or 4a but it obviously isn't, i kinda feel like you think this isnt 4c just because its long, and stereotypically, people think 4c hair is always short ( hope this didnt sound rude )

There’s a simple difference. 4c hair has the circumference of the tiny spring in a pen. That little metal spring. While 4a has the circumference of an average straw. 4b is in the middle.
Her hair is litterly 4c she has tight curls and it looks clumped up together it wouldn’t be 4a or 4b because her curls are not that loose
