Shrinkage means that your hair is healthy but this is how I’ve been applying my products to get maximum definition and elongated curls!
I’m using Camille Rose Curl Maker Gel which give the best hold while keeping my hair fluffy and lightweight
Combined with The Doux Mousse Def witch give me the best curl definition if you are a 4c girly and you struggle with having defined curls!! This is mousse is for you🙌🏿

Her hair is definitely 4C. Y’all are just ignorant to think we have 0 curl pattern but in reality we have the tightest curl pattern of any hair type so it clumps together and looks like one big old mesh when dry. Find the products that super hydrate your 4c hair and you will se definition. P.S. nobody is 100% 4c either sometimes we have a mix of 4B in there etc.
the girls that get ittt👊🏾 I definitely have a mix of type 4 patterns especially in the front, it’s a looser curl but majority is 4c. My hair is well past my shoulders and shrinks to my ears that’s how tight my curls are! No one has just one curl pattern! I’m more concerned with the health over definition and hair type. It took me a long time to figure out how to get my curls to look hydrate and defined. We are used to seeing one category for 4c and we can’t expect it to show up the same in everyone. 💕
No.
Her hair is beautiful, but they're not saying it isn't 4c because it's defined, it's because of the _size_ of her curls are larger than 4c curls. A 4c curl diameter is about the size of the spring in a pen. Her hair appears to be 4a-4b. Curl pattern is based on the size of the curl, but as she said, she has multiple hair types, so there’s likely 4c mixed in there, just doesn’t appear primarily on camera.
Here's a girl on RUclips with beautiful and really defined 4c hair, and you can see the clear difference in the size of the curl itself.

I love that this popped up in my feed. This technique is also much less time-consuming. I've only tried your recommendation two weeks in a row and I'm already locked in. Thanks! ❤

MY 4c hair is hard to take care of I don't have the patience.your hair is beautiful keep doing what ur doing❤️
its actually not that hard either. People want their hair to look like 4b and 4a so they be trying to overmanipulate and become upset when it doesn't do what they see on social media. @@MintyQuarterz I was just going by my hair..👀
Thanks, for showing what you do and taking time😊.
The people that say it’s not 4c hair don’t understand that although we may have the same hair texture, we don’t have the same hair thickness or porosity or health. I have 4C hair but I also have fine hair so my hair curls faster and is more defined than someone with thick 4 c hair. I also have a balanced porosity so my hair absorbs and retains moisture which helps with definition.
It’s not 4c hair based off size of her curls alone.
@@Marz859 Wdym?
@@Marz859So, if I had straight hair, and my hair was longer than 24cm, I wouldn't have straight hair? Everyone's hair and curls are different sizes, different lengths, and work DIFFERENTLY. The same hair type doesn't mean they all work the SAME, it means their hair patterns are SIMILAR.
@@AvaGodislove1287that's not how it works if you have set straight hair you have the type 1 hair type 4 hair has big curls to coils type 4c is not as big as hers.
So it couldn't be 4a or 4b? Those textures are softer so the "kink" of it has more "curl" definition. From the beginning i could tell and esp how she rubbed and pulled on it. Not saying no curling at all happens with 4c but its not defined a lot/all over.
Great tip on how not to separate. I will try that. Thanks for sharing

@@Mkym365 the assumption that healthy 4C girls will have little to no frizz and that their curls will loosen up like this when hydrated.
You can have the healthiest 4C hair from the root to the ends and your hair will never behave or look like this.
This comment is propagating the lie that fluffier-looking, "frizzy", "un-defined" 4C hair is unhealthy. 4C hair naturally is that way and most of it will not respond to any product or hair regimen like this woman.
Even when the "Max-Hydration" method was trending, 4C girls hair still didn't loosen like hers did with some moose.
All this comment does is reinforce the fact that y'all don't really think true 4C hair can be beautiful or healthy unless it acts like type 3 hair when product is applied.

Stop hair typing. The system employs the same hierarchy rooted in racism. We don’t need to hair type. Afro hair is afro hair is afro hair. Now let’s apply true science! What is our hair density, porosity, condition, texture ie fine, medium, coarseness…etc.
That’s all that matters.❤
Your hair type is beautiful, periodt.❤
This needed to be said!!! Hair typing is so divisive and problematic.
@@lanid4Bracism how? It didn’t state one is better than the other..

@@mayathedreamgirl1357 the system doesn’t suggest 4C is worst by making it last…
It’s common sense to make it last bc hair can’t be more or less straight, but can always be more curly.

What if someone actually has 4C hair and wants to learn how to take care of their hair type not other hair types?

I feel like 4c is related to the curl pattern. My hair is mostly 4c and it doesn't curl like that in those areas I get coils instead, that's the 4c pattern. I think at this point we all should know that that chart of hair types its solely about the way your hair curls and her doesn't coil like 4c hair its suppose to.
Exactly.
People assuming it's because her hair looks "defined" that others are doubting it.
There's waist length or close to it 4Cs all over RUclips who define their natural curls all the time, it has nothing to do with definition. It has everything to do with the fact that a 4C girl isn't going to define her hair, rhen suddenly the hair look like a different curl pattern.
They the ones who have a problem with 4C hair because they correlating real 4C curls with dryness and unhealthiness.
Because your hair is damaged her hair is 4c bouncy and healthy.
@@cutiepiea3687 no that's cause I have mostly 4c hair. The parts that don't curl are probably a 4c texture. She's the opposite in my opinion.
@@nelmalima7228 she has 4c hair. Some girls just have healthier hair than others hence why their curls show more. Just deep condition and do protein masks to strengthen your hair then you’ll see your 4c curls better like hers
@@cutiepiea3687the size of the curls is the giveaway.
4c curls are usually the size of springs, hers is s curl
I definitely agree!!! Those are the best 4c products!!
At this point I think we can come to a consensus that there are different variations of 4c hair type. The folks who say that this is not 4c hair type are among the folks who have very tight coils, almost like wooly texture, ( myself included). My daughter has her type of coil pattern and these products work well for my daughter, but I could never get the same curl pattern with these products even though my daughter and I have the same haircare routine.
This is undeniably type 4 hair. Natural hair RUclips has YET to clearly demonstrate the difference between a,b, and c type 4s. I pray that we banish the hair type system as we know it. It's divisive and confusing as hell.
Super cute lady and hair. Beautiful skin tone so clear. Love Camille products.❤
Hii, I'm sixteen and I'll admit I'm not a professional when it comes to telling curl patterns apart. The only one I'm entirely sure of is mine which is 4c, and I'd respectfully like to say her hair isn't 4c. It might be mixed with 4c but it's pretty obvious that it's mostly 4b. I've seen loads of 4c hair textures cuz most of my friends have it too and it doesn't look like this, even when wet. Some people might say it's moisturized that's why hers looks like this but I don't think 4c hair could do this. Even confirmed with my sister, she's got 4b hair and she said her looks just like this and I agree. Love your hair though, it's so full and long ✨

What upsets me about videos like this is that the actual blogger did not do her research and is giving false hope to people with a different pattern of curl. Their curls will be tighter. They can stretch the curls but unless they do larger finger coils or some other type of manipulation their hair won’t be this loose.
