Just made these for the work week. You videos have really inspired me and changed some things in my life. Please keep going with the content. I love it!
I been watching several people doing this recipe on RUclips. Finally took the time to make it. I made it almost as in the video but only had cheddar cheese on hand. Prep went quickly and the pot did it's magic and they are the most wonderful thing I've made in a long time! I really liked the suggestion to put some paper towels on the plate, saved from having a soggy egg bite!

Hi there! Thank you for the video! I do not have a trivet.I made my egg bites,with bacon.I will try your addition of cottage cheese, sounds interesting! I just covered my molds with tin foil and stacked them on top of each other in my Instant pot and they came out awesome! I would like to get a "Sling strap",I think that's what it's called lol..but I just used hot pads to get them out!

I finally made this, super good. I just mixed them up by hand, don’t think you need to dirty up a blender. I added all the cheese in the end . I found it quite salty though (and I usually love salt) so I might do 1/2 tsp salt next time
With all the cheese I would leave out the salt. It will still taste great.

Get the silicone one with the straps it’s red on Amazon and it works beautifully with the 8 quart
I ordered this but it came without the straps. Having now to purchase a lifter.
I found this recipe the other night. Since I'm new to the Instapot, I figured I would try this. It made 28 mini (I have a 3 quart) they great!! I will need to remember to freeze half next time!!

Just made these ,they were gone in a day between my husband and kids .i did get to try one and it was good .
Just stack the silicone holders in a staggered position (so the cups don’t line up). Then you won’t need the other wire rack.

I have just added foil and stack the molds on top of each other, no need for an extra trivet :)

I have a cuisinart electric pressure cooker that is 6 quarts. Do you think these molds will fit in? Also, did you use an actual pressure setting or just steam? I hate to spend more money on an instant pot, but i'm starting to think i need one!

I've been eating these egg bites like three times a week for the last 2 months at Starbucks and I hate myself every time because the price is ridiculous. So I was literally going to buy a sous vide machine on Amazon and I watched another video about an instant pot breakfast and he mentioned that you could do the Starbucks egg bites so I found your video and I'm a one happy camper. I also realized I could probably put them in little mason jars and try it out before purchasing the mold so I'm going to do that before I spend any more money. thank you

Keep that new trivet open legs for original trivet the other direction and lock in place. See if new trivet works below the pedestal... not sure if it will fit.
The moulds come with lids. Makes life so much easier. The one I ordered from Amazon was supposed to come with handles as well. Yes you have guessed it, it didnt. I have kept the mould though.
Make sure the lid is silicone and not plastic
My mould has a plastic lid that does not even fit on there properly. I have not used it in my instant pot because it is not silicon. Why do I even need it😬

I use my air fryer to brown the crust up and to reheat....

I’m confused. You said steam them for eight minutes but then let the pressure release. At first I thought I was going to be steaming them; now it seems I’m going to be pressuring them.

I would not use the lids in the instant pot. I think they are only intended for storage :)
I used the lid, left it loose. It worked out fine.

I'm curious why the title says "sous vide" when you used the steam function and not the sous vide function?
Cover them with a heat safe silicone lid or aluminum foil next time. It will keep the water from getting inside and making them watery 😁

You could try ricotta! Honestly you can’t taste the cottage cheese though.

I would use fresh mushrooms if I didnt have meat. That would cut down on the salt too.

Did I see that you used fingers for pressure release? I always use some stick along with a towel because the steam should be hot and dangerous

It's usually fine with things like eggs if npr was used for a few minutes first

Well, it's been three months, so you might not still care, but you could bake them using a "water bath" method (often used for baking cheesecakes to keep them from cracking), or probably could even microwave on a reduced power level if you're using a silicone tray.
I have both an instant pot and a crock pot. I will just say that I’ve already used my brand new instant pot more than I ever used the crockpot in the 3 or 4 years I’ve had it. It has a slow cooker function if you ever want it, but I’ve only used the pressure cooking is so fast and convenient I don’t see myself ever needing to use the slow cook.

I know you're comment is almost a year old. However, as a single guy I also don't like having tons of appliances.
However, someone gave me a instapot and honestly it's more versatile. My crock pot is bigger so I didn't get rid of it, but the instapot is so much more versatile.
It will high and low pressure cook as well as slow cook. And I got some inserts that allow me to cook meat and rice at the same time or I guess you could steam vegetables. Again single guy. I have a 6 qt which is plenty for planning leftovers for the week.
My very first recipe attempt w/ my Instant Pot. I more than likely will never ever use the Instant Pot again, but making this recipe was wholesome fun. Thank you!

I followed this recipe exactly and they were a disaster. They fell apart and were uncooked in the middle.
Probably just needed to cook them a little longer. I’ve made these a few times and they are always delicious!

Stop crying. You can just replace the meat with veggies and use an egg substitute. Enjoy.
