I had the chance to see this very interesting drone in action, chase it, lift some weights (the nerdy way) and of course listen to the amazing sound of eight 54" props.

I've seen these fly at night for agriculture use in the California farm land areas, at first I thought it was a mini helicopter with a pilot onboard because it sounds like a helicopter, the strobe lights convinced me it was being piloted remotely. Such an amazing drone. Awesome video!

according to Terminator 2, skynet should have already been online I guess ;) but yeah - tech is crazy. If we can survive the next few decades without making ourselves extinct, next generations will really live like in star trek. But - that's a big IF in the previous sentence ;)
Wow this big boy sounds amazing and looks so great when it tilts to the direction you will fly to. Due to the high mass it looks so smooth in flight! The software to compensate swing movements when flying with load on a sling is amazing. Great video! Very interesting stuff!

yep, definitly. we have a friend on the flightfield who flies the RedBull Cobra - 37kg - turbine. THIS sounds like a real one - and IT SMELLS like a real one too!

I have over 1000 flights on my Mavic 3. This video shows my least favorite thing about DJI software: Popup warnings that block the camera view. Flying is stressful enough without having your view suddenly blocked. HEY! IT'S STILL WINDY! WINDY UP HERE. WIIIIINNNNNDDYYYYYYYY!
yep, totally agree! The first annoyance (on my Air3) after passing the 30m in an urban aera, the note that I shouldnt fly higher. I'm pretty good at acknoledging this message with my nose on the display ;)

Yes, agreed! somehow I never recorded that takeoff sound with the ground cam (and good mic) and on the drone cams you don't have audio...

I don't know what I would use it for but I want one. I could imagine using it for remote delivery of equipment to the many isolated locations and islands where I live to set up campsites in the field.
I could see alot of applications for this in search and rescue. Imagine if you were say an arborist who fell and broke your back a mile or two into the forest. Rescue crews simply could not get you out without a helicopter. So ground crews deploy it from the ambulance, winch you up through the canopy and over to the ambulance. The next obvious application is to send it out for a beer run to the store.
yep, that's what I also thougnt (rescue copter for speedy and local missions) - they just need some time (years?) to get the neccesary permissions...
beer run works easier for sure - and everybody will give you a permit for this - why whouldnt he? :)
Not in the USA it wouldn't handle the weight.

This FC-30 is based off the Agras T50 drone, which has a 50KG payload capacity. As a Cropduster though, it only has a 6-10min flight time compared to the 20-30 min for this puppy
so far I didnt look at the agras drones - but they look as impressive as the FC30. the T60 might even be bigger? amazing things!
@@Rcschim yes, however, interestingly, the T60 only is a quadcopter, instead of the octocopter designs of the others.

The agility and swing control makes me think that this can be scale way up to catch falling rocket boosters, those things are not that heavy without fuel.

What's the range on the radar and is it just for object avoidance or can it do more than that?
It’s an agricultural drone I believe. So it can map terrain and stuff
The winch system is perfect for dropping off the good stuff if u know what I mean
At over 100 dBA very sneaky way, also only 15 km range with full load
make an outstanding search and rescue tool - particularly for water rescue - carrying floatation / communication devices
or, in a really urgent situation, this thing could lift smaller ppl out of the water.
But I'm quite sure in the future we will see bigger version of these for rescue. Still a lot easier and quicker to deploy than full helis...

Our company has one that is set up for spraying and use it to spray grass killer on a golf course under construction. They load the maps from the survey drone into the FC30 and it goes out and sprays only the areas on the maps. Can do an entire fairway in 15 minutes with one battery change.

Need swivel on payload maybe. A counterweight on payload for anti sway.
The anti sway is done automatically. The drone just times the movement to cancel the sway.

Der Sound ist heftig. Die Flugzeit hätt ich gern. Schätze man wird so auf 16Zoll gehen müssen, damit man da hin kommt.
Ich glaub eine DJI Air3 hat mehr Flugzeit... Die Nutzlast ist hier halt recht ausgewachsen für ein RC Gerät... Videoübertragung und Sensoren sind auch fein.

For 30,000 dollars I offer high-quality electric helicopters for carrying loads up to 400 kg. A unique security scheme with minimal automation! The weight of the helicopter without battery is no more than 70 kg. If you use very light propellers and light material for the structure, the weight of the helicopter can be significantly reduced, but this will lead to a sharp increase in cost.

Lucky us it is not cheap, very loud and has extremely limited range at high loads. People would have time to evacuate before it hits, the FBI would be on their asses as DJI sells info to them etc.
fun fact. back a few decades ago some dude drove his plane into a irs building. some dude also put a van full of explosives in front of another irs building. bomb is the proble here, not the delivery.

Such a small payload, ones no larger carry people!! Why only 25Kg? doesnt seem much payload for the size of craft?
I guess it's about efficiency. It's one thing to be able to carry 50-60kg (which this one ca) for a few minutes or seconds, but another one to safely transport this over a city...

don't think so. technically it should be at least compatible to the DJI Goggles2 - but so was the DJI Air3 - and they would only let you fly over the goggles, if you'd use the motion controller, not the normal DJI RC...
Flying such a thing in manual mode would for sure be nice!
