      Does this drone auto calculate the GPS offset? More specifically, every drone gives its own GPS in real time, but to shoot a range finder distance and slope and to then have GPS point A (drone's location) and GPS point B (missing person's location). Does the drone auto generate GPS point B?

      Here's something you may or may not know regarding drones. Drones fly level & straight-out, they stay at height regardless of distance flown. There's no angle changes had. i.e. there's no rise, no dip, drop or anything else. Drones stay at starting height regardless distance flown. If you force a drone to adjust & correct for claimed globe curvature, it crashes. It crashes no matter how far you extend the distance flown to correct & adjust for claims of physical globe curvature. This is the same for all aircraft.

    I'm sure that simply by avoiding the land that the girl clearly wasn't in, you saved officers hours worth of search time ending up in a quicker rescue. Even if you didn't find her, your efforts definetely impacted this directly.
    Really cool, hope I can get into this eventually after starting up some basic inspection and real-estate services.

    When there’s three people standing by the house, getting ready to search the woods and you talk about how good the camera is if you look, there’s two guys to the right and one guy to the left basically there in a triangle. The guy to the left formed the top point of the triangle. If you look at his feet, he’s standing still for 30 seconds. He takes one step forward with his left foot and you can see the grass on the ground has a heat signature and it fades away in like five seconds. That’s a damn good heat imaging camera sensor !!!!

    Question: Can a contractor for a state or local agency use DJI M30T in providing services? As an example you were called to assist a search and rescue. Not sure if you did this as a volunteer. DJI products are so far and above others. The really strange bit is that everything you touch today is made in China. My wife needed a walker as she has some back issues. The hospital delivers the walker, made in China. Total insanity on the part of the Federal Government to take away life saving products from first responders.

      DJI drones are the best performing and have the best bang for the buck right now. It seems like the M30T is around 10-15k depending on the configuration. If this is out of reach, smaller drones still with thermal capabilities can still help! The drone is constantly giving its GPS location, but does the rangefinder auto calculate the new GPS location of the injured party? He mentioned how helpful the laser range finder was, but never explained exactly what it is that the ground crew are given. Is the ground crew given the GPS location of the drone, and then the distance, & slope of the person found? Does the drone auto provide the GPS of the results of the range finder calculations? @northfalls Год назад

      I don’t know if I’m understanding your question. Are you asking will a little kid be visible under sheet metal in the thermal camera? No, the thermal camera cannot penetrate anything. It only reads the thermal energy of the object it’s looking at.

    • @ronmarvicsin7709
      @ronmarvicsin7709 Год назад

      @@northfalls yes that was my question so the child’s heat would have to somewhat heat the metal to give off some heat signal. Ok so what was being said is that you can clear a large area at a time by using the drone thermal?. Do the rescue workers just not search the area then? I guess I’m asking if there is no heat signature it’s not 100%that the child isn’t there, correct? They could be inside a sewer or water pipe. Just asking.

    Kyle- thanks for the great videos. Do you know if there is any concern by the Drone community on RUclips after the spy balloon from China is also linked to DJI Drones doing the same thing?

    • @kevinwells4986
      @kevinwells4986 Год назад +3

      I deleted this three times... but "linked to DJI drones doing the same thing?" is somewhat infuriating to me. Quoting you: "DJI is a Chinese company". You nailed it! Because that is all you are saying. I don't see anything about DJI being convicted of any spying, but yes there's a lot of suspicion, I suspect some fueled by DJI competitors. You can control your data though, and where it goes, so I'm not sure why some people feel they are being spied upon, or exploited as it were. We have to take responsibility for our own actions (or lack thereof) and how we share data anywhere. I had a very high clearance in the military, and yet it took me awhile to realize the significance of that clearance. I was trusted by my country. When flying a drone nothing is transmitted or recorded unless you allow it to be, which is totally under user control. If the drone was doing anything someone would have detected it by now and wrote about it. But your question is common, unfortunately. Sorry Kyle to write so much here.

    • @joedevaney1145

      I didn’t say DJI is a Chinese company. So if you are going to quote me please be correct. Secondly, my question was directed to Mr Kyle and not to anyone else. Since I don’t have an email address for Mr. Kyle I wrote my question here. My advice to just keep scrolling if questions like mine bother you. After all it’s a question. • @northfalls

      Pilot institute will be releasing a SAR course soon with all that info. I don’t have a single document with all the best practices of both aviation and SAR. However, you should always use Lost Person Behavior before flying. Flying grids is the slowest and least effective way to search.

    What is total flight time on one single battery charg?
    Does have two batteries on board affect the flight time or performance at all?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @tong.clement
      @tong.clement Год назад

      41 minutes flight time. My understanding is that 2 batteries are required for takeoff but having 2 batteries allows for hotswap so the drone remains on and connected to your remote when you swap batteries and provides some level of redundancy if a battery fails mid flight from my limited understanding.
