A cinematic journey through the some of the most popular natural attractions of the Blue Mountains. Opening shots of the clouds rising around the Three Sisters taken as the first rays of light fall upon the Blue Mountains on New Year's day 2017. We are then transported to Wentworth Falls to view the silken like magical falls of water. Intercut with view from Evans Lookout we then visit Pulpit Rock lookout in Blackheath watching the clouds and visitors move in time lapse. Our view then pans over to Hanging Rock which we see at sunrise from three different perspectives. Next we are thrust back into the Valley of Waters with numerous views of and around the Sylvia Falls. Following a timelapse montage which includes the three sisters, the landslide and the view from Govetts Leap Lookout we look up to view the breathtaking Govetts Leap (Bridal Veil Falls) from below. Closing shot is early morning valley clouds as viewed from Princes Lookout in Wentworth Falls.

I know the Mountains pretty well having been visiting them for over 65 years, but lots of others will be looking at the views for the first time via your video. Some quick surtitles giving the location would be helpful to them.
Good to see some shots of the Grose Valley. Many tourists only get to see Echo Point, Three Sisters and so forth.

Thanks for the feedback Bill i really appreciate you taking the time to drop me a line. I used the Magic Lantern firmware for the first time when i shot this video. Over-all i'm happy with it, I mostly used the intervalometer for the time lapses, the exposure zebras and focus peaking. There is plenty more there that i will no doubt learn how to work with as my video making adventure continues. All the best to you mate.

Hi James, thanks for the support buddy. I have seriously thought about it but I operate on a 'run and gun' basis, i need to travel light and drones (up until recently) have been pretty bulky. The DJI Mavic may be an answer. No plans in the immediate future but who knows?
Let me know if you want to try out the Mavic sometime. It really is incredibly compact and powerful.

Nah the Mountains will be fine, there have been bush fires up that way for thousands of years, it will regenerate in time.

DSLRs are limited to 30 minute continuous recording time for a single shot. This has never been a problem for me as i edit many very short duration shots in my videos.

The eucalyptus trees, tourism and splendid characters decided blue was the obvious choice and stuf
From a distance, there is a blue haze over the mountains, caused by the vapours from the eucalypts.
