agreed this shit is why I'm still alive I'm not a small guy or not athletic but I am in the construction industry and this is my anthem to all plumbers/journey man /engeineers
Yeah, I was rather enjoying this video, until the last part. Coming from someone who suffers from mental illness, that wasn't very cool. The song is celebrating being oneself despite what society thinks. Thumbs down bro.
Listened to this CD on a portable CD player plugged into my car's tape player over and over while delivering pizzas back in the day. Great job on your vid!
I agree this isn't a sad song but this dude totally made it work that way especially if you've experienced a very long amount of time where you were all alone.
The song is not about being alone, it is about being in a private place with your people. A place you can play Dungeons and Dragons, practice playing music and not have to worry about being judged and bullied. If you were trying to be normal, but had hobbies that others found to be stupid, you would understand this song. In the 80's and 90's, geek culture was not the zeitgeist it is today. You were mostly ostracized for collecting comic books and watching Star Wars movies back then.
Such a pity that people can't tell this is the kids interpretation of the song and he's not wrong it's not about just having fun stuff to do in his garage the song is a testament to being an outcast with no one there to enjoy any of the things he does with him and the garage being the only place that makes him feel safe from the ridicule he takes from everyone outside of it. Man people are so shallow and selfish to see it that it's just a song about having his favorite stuff and how much he has fun in the garage.Think outside the realm of of your little world the worlds not about just you and your beliefs songs are meant to give you a view of something you might not otherwise consider or relate to.
I cannot agree. "and I love everyone, waiting there for me, yes I do" - it is not about being alone. It is about being a social outcast that is friends with the other social outcasts and have to gather in places like garages or basements to avoid being harassed and bullied for the thing they like. "No one" in this sense refers to the outsiders.
Brilliant video. It made me leak out of my eye holes a bit. I hope whoever made this is still out there fighting the good fight. Shine on, you magnificent bastard.
This is my song of the week, and I was looking for the video but I found this instead. I’m having a bad time, and this is how I exactly feel. The song is happy and joyful, but the video is not exactly what most people feel. And I understand it, you will understand it when you feel like the music and the video at the same time. Idk how to put it in words, I just wanted to share my feelings...
Dennis Lyons clearly the mirror scene represents a false sense of happiness covering deep sorrow. That was a stool there and not a shelf. It is very obvious to someone with mental illness, and it is also very upsetting.
I used to dig this song alot back in the day. Well done, young sir! I'm glad I found it again, I had alot of good memories flooding back to me. Keep up the great work.
I really liked this until the end. When I listen to this sing I related with the lyrics and to me it was about doing what toy enjoyed and not caring if it wad popular or not. Never did suicide come to mind with this song.
I always play this while working or piddling around in the garage. I was 17 when this song came out. Can't believe this album is 30 years old and still fresh as hell!!!❤
Who frickin cares? This kid thought this song was dope enough to make a video 2 decades after its original release. I feel ya kid. I used to blast this in my garage when I was in high school. If I'm honest, I still do.
Not a fan of the video. This isn't a depressing song. It's about having a place where you can feel comfortable freely expressing yourself. Also, this song kicks ass.
Even though it's at least 10 years after the songs release, I think this is a really good put together video. Almost nailed the songs meaning. But instead used it for the newer generations feelings. Good stuff.
+Justin Smith I meant 10 years since the videos creation. I was basing it off of some things I saw in the video. I remember when the album came out quite well. Sorry, I should have been more specific.
NEVER TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT, LIFE ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING GOOD FOR EVERYONE.! JUST DONT LOOSE FAITH, BE YOURSELF AND DONT WORRY ABOUT TRYING TO PLEASE OTHERS. WHEN YOU GET OLDER YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT HAVING A LOT OF FRIENDS IS WAY OVER RATED.......
This was my anthem all thru high school and well into my twenties. Still love this song because as a man my "safe space" is my garage. The ending tho... not to cool at all
Always liked this song for the nerdy kid that doesn't fit in with the jocks and preppies at school. He even gravitates to the two members of KISS who (as per the other two) had all kinds of insecurity issues.
This song is an anthem, a happy joyous shout to nerdom. I don't think suicide when I hear this.
This is an introvert's anthem for me.

suicide lol what whacko put that with this ? Cause someone once committed suicide that happen to play a game of DND or spend time in a garage lol
I made it to the ending... WTF lol
If this won the 2nd place, I gotta see the first one because this was freaking amazing!
“I got electric guitar”
*shows him playing acoustic guitar*
Im sorry for responding to a comment from 2019 but the song does have acoustic guitar and right after he says that we can hear a bass with distortion
@Cole Hubert Yeah but I wouldnt make sense either way because we hear a bass

What we forget about the 80's and 90's is that you couldn't be a Dungeon Master without other people to play with.

Holy shit dude, this was awesome until we got to the end... way to kill a happy song.
It's an electric guitar cable at the end... Not a rope...
@@timgrant2929he still stepped on to a chair it definitely signifies suicide
He was cleaning up his mess in the garage at the end and putting that rope up on the shelf!! Nothing more nothing less!!
Dennis Lyons clearly the mirror scene represents a false sense of happiness covering deep sorrow. That was a stool there and not a shelf. It is very obvious to someone with mental illness, and it is also very upsetting.
I'm loving the X360 at the start for (presumably) detail
I used to dig this song alot back in the day. Well done, young sir! I'm glad I found it again, I had alot of good memories flooding back to me. Keep up the great work.
this is one of the best songs.
I really liked this until the end. When I listen to this sing I related with the lyrics and to me it was about doing what toy enjoyed and not caring if it wad popular or not. Never did suicide come to mind with this song.
To you
I always play this while working or piddling around in the garage. I was 17 when this song came out. Can't believe this album is 30 years old and still fresh as hell!!!❤
My man really lost a game of Minecraft then killed himself. Tragic.
You cannot truly understand this song unless you lived this life in high school...
All right kid. I'll give it to you. Nice vid. There was no iPod, iPhone or Xbox when I was listening to this though.
Haha I know right.
Walkman, cell phones and Super Nintendo.
It was fun
However. Just showing the next group of teens are getting into some great tunes
Who frickin cares? This kid thought this song was dope enough to make a video 2 decades after its original release. I feel ya kid. I used to blast this in my garage when I was in high school. If I'm honest, I still do.
ODST, this guy knows whats up..
Not a fan of the video. This isn't a depressing song. It's about having a place where you can feel comfortable freely expressing yourself. Also, this song kicks ass.
Wdym by your not a fan of it?
@@nataliehollenbeck1323 How would you interpret grabbing a rope, and climbing a chair at the end of the video as anything remotely positive?
well that was a sad ending
wow took me about 2 minutes to realise this wasnt the official thing... but then again I'm drunk
You sober yet Bruno?
This is just brillant! You made me smile man!
+seattle67 well I just watched the end and that's really not cool :/
No song speaks to me quite like this one.
Cracked Rearview real talk. childhood memories
You know elevated to the next level when you pronounce grage with one syllable.
This is actually a really good video.
damn man this song is so good.

+BulheddEd This album actually came out 21 years ago.

Very well sEd! 💯
Pretty cool man nice job!
Best song ever.
why doesn't weezer have that much hits?? they kick ass.
+Haylee Newport Oh but they do, they do.
Haylee Newport buy the blue album
what do you mean they don’t, of course they do
They do... This is not the original video. Weezer made it big.
They do, but not considered as hits by random douchebags
Beautiful man...just beautiful... namaste
I sent this to my DnD group chat and they loved it!
Nice vid MAN!!! PROPS!!!!
I love the end solo to this song
I love it :)
The hell. That ending came like a speeding truck to a deer on the high way. It fit with the song as well as a clown at a funeral.
My favourite rock group kiss
Your God Richard Hoof
i sang this for a talent show at school..... i won because this song this song rules.
Thanx. ❤you
That table makes me nervous holding the TV 😆
😍😍😍
More like A Millennial In His Parents Garage. 😆😆
That plot twist at the end...
nice video!
Wait a minute... Is he hanging himself in the end?? This songs about being happy and doing your thing in your garage, not being lonely and scared...
Catch those Warhammer and D&D references? GYEAH!
Summer of 95 I traded a friend for his blue weezer t shirt, I wore it everyday that summer, one of my all time fav bands
Garages are cool!
This song is about being oneself despite all obstacles. I don't like your interpretation.
Ironically, you're an obstacle
WHAT THE FUCK WAS WITH THE END
+Aaron Timm i think its satire, being nerdy is cool. no worries friend.

There is so much weezer content that the fact that this exists makes me sad but also unsurprised.
0:14 Oh shit! A spacemarine figure :3
Still sounds good
You should've had a super Nintendo instead of an Xbox, considering that was the game system out then.
loved this but did not need to see you "quit" in the end. brilliant video though.
why isn't this on the official channel
Well that took a dark twist...
the end made me cry
This was my anthem all thru high school and well into my twenties. Still love this song because as a man my "safe space" is my garage. The ending tho... not to cool at all
Where you reading a white dwarf and painting a space marine warhammer model?

no one hears me sing this song !
same because i have no friends *smol tear*
Bruh, that ending💀
Remember they didn't have an Xbox 360 in the 90's. Also, you clearly had no idea what you were doing with that guitar :P
oh man first edition
If you were gonna infringe on the copyrights of this song, you could've used some more X-Men pics.
Come to think of it, if I were this guy, I'd show a Nightcrawler & Kitty Pryde action figure.
I would show a dugeons masters guide, and a kiss poster, snoogans
Always liked this song for the nerdy kid that doesn't fit in with the jocks and preppies at school. He even gravitates to the two members of KISS who (as per the other two) had all kinds of insecurity issues.
My bedroom is a garage. :)
i loved this song when i was younger
WTF kid? That ending was so stupid. What was point in that? The garage makes him feel safe.....
your friend Jordan is cute
he prob does
Holly fuck at the end. This is a happy song. Not suicide
+kade mitchelar its his twist it might be how he feels i bet nostalgia
I couldn't hang myself in a garage as my parents didn't have one...
ecca...
dat pseudo-nerd
Good video, but I don't think you got the message.
Dude just straight up decided to kill himself.
It's like a millennial videoanthem. Whatever...
Way before millenials. Good try though. This is a gen x song
@@joshmorris9825 but the video was millennial
Rivers Cuomo would be proud
I have that communist party shirt!
Wait this song is about suicide? Naw, its about jamming out in the garage?!
this song is just for me only.
anyone want to join?
Me, I want to join
+Aaron Timm no one ever solved my 6 sided die...
but me only.
