80's nostalgia has given Finn Wolfhard an acting career and a hefty bank account.
You can't have a name like "Finn Wolfhard" and not end up with some sort of epic entertainment career.
@@mrchuckmorris You can't have a name like Finn Wolfhard and not be from the 80's by default.
Thats the stupidest thing i have ever read
all the answers lies in his hairdoooo... ;)
Well he's actually in a good band that makes original music too, ya know
Pretty soon Weezer's gonna release a cover of an old Weezer song

Undone: The sweater song REKNITTED EDITION
An 80's song, sung by a 90's band, with an MV which the actor born in the 2000's, made in the 2010's, watched by the people in the 2020's.
Sounds about right

I like how each band member evokes an 80s style -- Flock of Seagulls, Motley Crue, Madonna, Weird Al.

Did not know Weezer remade it. Loved this song in the 80's. They used to play it at our city pool. Skateboarding. Hair waves. Poofy hair. Best of times. Went to Germany in the 90's and they played it as a techno song in clubs! Good stuff!
lets agree: weezer is now a 80's nostalgia cover band
And I'm completely fine with that
But No Scrubs.
My expectations were low cause *weezer* but this cover wasn’t that bad. The auto tune was definitely present but it wasn’t that bad

I also kinda did born in 98 but GTA Vice City and the 80’s TV shows and movies that were my Cartoons when growing up turned me into the person I’m today
The song never gets old...no matter who plays or sings it!

Finn Wolfhard: Whomst has awoken the ancient one.

I can't imagine A-ha would EVER have an issue with this. Wow. Respecting your roots. Great job!!
Take finn back please.. he's being too comfortable living in the 80s
The 80s was a fun time
No make him run in the 90's
No the 80s! The 80s is where it’s at! Everything was much better and simpler back then. Didn’t have phones, computers, cable, didn’t have software to edit your vocals. If you were a bad singer it showed. Life was real back then......
@@thechocolatemilkcurse884 we did have computers in the 80s.. amstrads and commodores and.... life was indeed real and simpler back then : mass unemployment, the AIDS epidemics, to name just a few... people always remember the good sides of their past, and always forget the bad, giving a really biased vision of a "good old time" but no, it wasn't "much better", just different.
Julien S this is very true, the technology we have today we didn’t even have 5 or 6 years ago. So medical wise yes today is much better, but on the other hand doctors are feeding their patients with chemicals and radiation to help treat illnesses which is 100 percent stupid in my opinion. There is a handful of other things people could be doing to help treat them selves that are 100 percent natural remedies. I guess what I’m saying is that back in the day yes it woulda been a little harder but not that much harder. It was still way simpler then today. You go outside and there is nobody playing at the park anymore, there’s no kids who are really wanting to go outside and have fun unless it’s the kids who were raised on having fun outside. All these kids do is sit in front of a screen all day and night playing fortnite or cod. There was no consoles other then playing Pac-Man or street fighter at arcades which in my mind is far more exciting and entertaining then shooting people up on the screen at home. Then again there was so much racism back then, not that there’s no racism now, it’s just frowned upon and hidden in the shadows more. In the 70’s and 80’s if you were any other race other then white you were tread like scum and killed. So there is ups and downs, and there is ups and downs today too......I don’t know, I guess you are right, but I still would much rather live back in the 80’s for sure.
Rivers, the Teal Album is really good. I dig it.

Wow. What the heck. It really does look like it from back then.
Pretty damn close. The main issue keeping this from being 100% spot on is too many quickjump edits and the lighting isn't blurry enough.
@Shadan Rikan Yeah but nobody ever got a decent quality image unless you had a super expensive TV. It was always grainy. That and tape degrades over time unless you work really hard to preserve it and even then unless you've got a master you're going to have a copy of a copy of a copy.

I’d like to know how A-ha feels about it...I personally like it
The problem is, these covers, so far, though they're serviceable, don't equal or even top their originals.
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 Agree completely. This is like the kind of cover song you'd hear from a good cover band at some generic summer festival in somewhere like Des Moines, IA 😂
@Saitama However, some songwriters have said that, sometimes, an artist can take a song and find something in it that they never knew/imagined existed. For example, Aretha Franklin's cover of "Respect" became the standard version...Pete Townsend considers Tina Turner's performance of "The Acid Queen" to be the official version...Cyndi Lauper's covers of The Brains' "Money Changes Everything" and Prince's "When U Were Mine" have become her songs by default...many people (inc. The Beatles) consider Siouxsie And The Banshees' 1983 re-imagining of "Dear Prudence" to be a classic in its own way...Leanne Rimes' (technical, since it was released second, though, it was recorded first) cover of Trisha Yearwood's song, "How Do I live?" became a way bigger hit than Yearwood's rendition, yet, Yearwood won the Grammy, which seemed odd, since the Rimes version was the one that got the more historical airplay...and, Frank Sinatra's cover of "New York, New York" has become his signature standard...and, ask Dolly Parton about Whitney Houston's monumental cover of "I Will Always Love You". Some songs take on a special life of their own because of the artist who performed it the best....
@@anthonyyoutubefan7567 I don't think anyone is trying to equal or better the original. That is never the goal of a cover. It's called nostalgia. There is no "problem". It could potentially introduce a new generation to the greatness that was the 80's.
@@TheSlashfan85 Not just "nostalgia", but also "tribute" and "challenge" are motivations for doing a cover. This one is a bit of all of that. It is a pretty difficult song.
Also worth noting that these covers all have some personal style and/or original reimagining to them. Skill (and a lot of hard work) + fun is a pretty enjoyable thing to watch :)
