Oh damn, now I have yet another guitar on my hit list. I'm a fan of the offset body styles and lightweight guitars. I have the Bullet Mustang like you and love the thinner body. I like many things you've brought to my attention about the new Affinities. Those split shaft tuners are my fave. They act as more of a locking tuner. I live that dark solid fret board, glossy headstock, and smooth non gloss satin neck. That black on black is sweet. That's Robert Smith approved!!! Very nice!
I got one in blue and after a setup I’m super happy with it. Even after the upgrades I’ve installed I can’t imagine anything better for what I’ve spent.
I got the lake placid blue. I love it more than my custom shop strat. But I did have to dress the frets when I got it. Very sharp edges but no worries. Little filing and I’m not complaining for a gig ready guitar for 279 US. And yes. Gig ready. I use it live all the time.
I just ordered one of these I hope it sounds as good as yours. I was thinking of replacing the pickups but yours sounds nice so maybe I will wait to replace them till I hear for myself. Cheers 🙂☃️🎄☃️🎄☃️
It looks cool in black 😎 I have the blue one and i had to take it apart and tape it up with copper tape because it was making a lot of noise. Now I've straightened the neck a little and lowered the strings and it playes and sounds SUPER 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Sounds great. Just doesn't sound like anything. With distortion it almost sounds like a humbucker equipped guitar. Usually one can tell a strat, to a Les Paul, to a Jazzmsster etc... This just has a very even sound. Not a good thing or bad. Not unique. Probably an amazing rhythm guitar as it sits. I'm really looking forward to the pup swap. I'm also very curious to hear how the lack of a traditional JM trem set-up will affect the overall JM tone. Does it really matter? I'm thinking it'll have an affect, for sure, but to what degree? Excellent demo and thoughts in this video. 🤘🏻
@@maxenta1634 I think this a really great guitar out the box. I love mine and it's a keeper. Stock pickups are great. It's always in tune. Nice neck.. I use mine all the time
Finally made the purchase for mine, and am having a blast! Always been a strat guy so this strat whammy is most welcome!
The pups are phenomenal!

Definitely worth taking a look! Beautiful guitars
they're definitely kind of light. of my 4 electric guitars it's the heaviest, but not by a large margin. I might just have light guitars though

Seems pretty qualified to me! Sounds awesome dude! Nice one.
JM P90s ftw!!
I got the Burgundy Mist version and had it set up....The tuning stability is amazing
Definitely! These are great out the box. It's my main guitar.
mannn I didn't know these came in black. I've been looking for this model but they never have good colors
It was a special run, so dont hang around (it's sparkly too)
I got the burgandy one and never really liked the color so im taking it apart to paint it lol

Thank you Bradford. You hunky beast.
@@Ian_sheridanuk 😂😂😂
Nice sounds,
ptf tape whats that?
@@johnnywhale it's that very thin white plastic/teflon tape plumbers use
do the stock pickups have considerable 60 cycle hum?
No worse than a standard jazzmaster. And no worse than some strats. I didn't bit of shielding but nothing major. That was sufficient.
@@Ian_sheridanuk thank you for replying, would it be good for using for production? and do the heavy tones sound good on the stock pickups?

@@Ian_sheridanuk thank you very much for responding. will go forward with it.

Anderton's UK
If you order from pro audio star they are on sale for 179 but I think it's only the burgundy mist color. I just ordered one 🙂 happy holidays 🎄☃️🎄☃️🎄
They have this black one in guitar guitar UK. Just ordered mine 😊
This, just like the American Performer, is a glorified Jagmaster.
