The hh affinity jazzmaster is my main axe for a lot of reason, but mainly the to my ears outstanding humbucker. The new affinity is built with p90s and 1000 kOhm potis. The sound is too much trebley for me.
Perfect guitar overview/comparison video as for me, thanks! That's just what I would play if I test these guitars before buying in a shop myself :) I think this new jazzmaster sounds awesome on clean riffs and melodies. I got a question about these Hard-Tail guitars- Do you recommend a shim for them like with many offset guitar techs recommend? I didn’t know if the different bridge angle of a hard tail would affect the setup too much. Cheers!
Hey Rose. You mean shims to change the neck angle? In this video i compare two squier jazzmasters that are correct out of the box. Or do you refer to my baritone neck switch in another video?
I think the shimming is mostly useful for Jazzmasters with the bigger tremolo system if there is an issue causing you to keep the bridge a mile high to make it playable. The Affinity Jazzmasters look like they're built more like a Stratocaster so you won't need to shim the neck.
Sounds great! I checked out your band and you guys also sound great. How does the burgundy one feel compared to the white one? I have the white one and haven't really got on with the neck and 12" radius
