@@antoniomacias7744true. Now tell us what you did as far as boxing. Did you ever have a pro boxing match? If not, I think it’s safe to say stfu and stop cheerleading! lol
You can tell he doesn't love boxing, he loves the opportunity and freedom it's provided. He's my favorite prospect right now and because he doesn't want to be in the game for a while he should fight all of his toughest fights in his prime right now, become undisputed, land a big payday then sail off and live the quiet life he really wants to live.
This dude is a true human. Everything he is saying is what every person should strive for. Love this kid and not just his boxing skills. He's a real dude, and I think he can accomplish some big things
Shoutout to Roy for putting it in perspective for the young man💪🏾 I felt every word Jared was saying, it’s a big weight and can overwhelming but if you’re CHOSEN you gotta ride that horse ✊🏾
What a real moment, young talent looking up to RJ and sharing his doubts, and Roy building him up. Damn, I wanna see him overcome his doubts and prove to himself that even though he’s unsure he’s ready he can realize his dreams!!
He doesn't doubt himself, he feels the unwarranted pressure of having to build up our city (Toledo Ohio). Roy is telling him that his gift is his curse, he can't avoid it. I hope he stays focused.
There isn’t a person on this planet that would have been better for encouraging Jared in that moment than Roy was. He’s the perfect example of having the weight of the world on your shoulders and rising to the occasion time and time again. Roy was literally the Michael Jordan of his era in boxing. He wasn’t endorsed by the Jordan brand on accident.
Oh shit! That was deep!!!! Tears hit me! Jared got a supporter here from the UK! I hope he fulfils everything that makes him truly happy. He seems to have a lot of weight on his young shoulders but the great ones all have that weight! Hope he becomes great!
He’s a young man seeking his purpose. We all go through it honestly. Stay strong 💪🏾 young man and just follow your heart. Surround yourself with real men and NOT yes men.
What a beautiful documentary and both champs inside and outside of the ring. This is what the black community needs in America instead of trying to be like trashy rappers with no purpose. I hope this kid goes a long way and achieves all his goals. True man right there 👍
Damn man this is the best RUclips video about anything I have watched in a long time. “But I’m 23” hit different. Roy just gave this kid the extra push that could make him the heavyweight champion one day soon. Unbelievable….
Do What You Do, Your Fighting For Change... Finally 🙏 Someone Who Has The Love For The Art Like Ali Did Fighting For A Change For The World. Didnt Really Know About Jared Besides Up Till Now, A Great Human Right Here.
Beautiful moment between Jared and RJJ. Anderson was already one of my favorite up and coming fighters but now I hope everything he desires comes to fruition. He’s clearly a great human being.
Wow what a story that was. Vulnerabilities lie in us all. Even the greatest feel pressure and self doubt. I love this kid, he’s special, he will dominate the heavyweight division in 3-4 years. Looking forward to following his journey. Props to RJJ too, he been there, done ALL of that. Great to see him passing that knowledge onto the next generation 🙏❤️
This shit is deep. I don't think ppl understand unless you in bro shoes. I'm glad he spoke out because the "pressure" of living and being someone , THAT SOMEONE , in particular can create a lot of chaos in your mind, heart, and life. Let's get it Jared you got it brotha 🙏🏽 whatever is meant much respect 👏🏽‼️🗣 HEARD
Thank you, Roy Jones for being there for him from giving him the conversation in the real man talk that he needed. He was able to open up to you from one Blackman to another. You did a great job and I love the fact that he’s not putting everything on Boxen more on life and living what a great kid.
Jared do your thing. You can inspire many when you are at the top. If you are not positive you're not gonna succeed you got to love the process. Positive emotion enable your mind and body to be more effective, think faster, recover faster. It's about the mindset
What a great video by Top Rank. Jared shows his emotional vulnerabilities. Im not sure he makes it to the top because he's already talking of leaving the game as soon as possible. I certainly wish him the best and will be watching. He seems like a good kid.
As a native to Pensacola, FL When you see Roy hes always given the time to speak positive into people. That speech almost made me cry. Very touching. I dont expect anything less from Roy, thats who he is.
That little moment at 20min is very telling. The people that have never fought will not understand, but I believe every fighter has a constant push-pull, bitter-sweet relationship with boxing. The titles and the accolades are so appealing and drive every fighter to be the best, but the daily pressure and physical struggles of being a boxer are not healthy for the fighters. I've had 16 amateur fights and counting and every once in a while, I breakdown like Jared did, wondering if it's all really worth it. While all of your friends are relaxing, drinking, going out, and having fun, fighters have to stay so rigid and go through pressure no one but fighters have felt. No matter how many sparring sessions or fights a boxer has had, the deep pressure that a human feels before combat is unmatched. People don't realize fighters constantly think about quitting, but continue to push on towards their dreams because they would feel empty if they didn't go for it. It can be sad to not be able to let go. Jared knows he can't let go, and he won't. But once he retires, which by the way he's talking about his career ("I want to be in and out") won't last too long, he will be so glad he did it, and will be remembered as the champ for generations, and hopefully will have the money to change his family and his community's life.
That's real talk bruh. The discipline it takes to not "have fun" can take a toll. For Jared, he is the crowned prince of the city right now. 23 yrs old with money and love from the hood. He seems vey intelligent and has his family with him, so I believe he's gonna complete his journey.
RESPECT!!! FROM ONE LIVING LEGEND TO A RISING ONE! I hope to see Jared overcome the mental challenge of being a fighter! The only thing stopping him is himself.... Win or Lose he still seems like a great fighter and i cant wait to see how far he takes it!
