@Propellerheads I believe that Ableton Live 10 has a lot to show you in the way of how a proper release (especially the big 10 version) is supposed to look. It only did they add a new synth, compressor, ghost notes, amazing automation curve capability, memory capture feature, groups in groups....and there's plenty more. Check it out. Only thing you have on them right now is the way better GUI, Grain and your sound banks/instruments. IMO, If Live add a stock drum library, Sampler, a few Gigs of instruments and upgrade the GUI...Then Live would get the solid W.
I think you're asking for too much all at once to be fair, although I'd like to see more of the NNXT parameters automatable. I think what's important right now is not to add anything new, but refine what's already there and to fix the bugs and errors of which there are many. One important fix should be giving the new stock devices their own file extension and icon like the older devices have instead of .repatch. Add 'snap to grid' on the envelopes in Grain and Europa and the ability to copy / paste oscillators in Europa. Also fix the tooltips so they display the correct state of functions within both those synths. Fix the rotary/button labels on the sequencer when renamed. There's so many more small things that need fixing.
The fact that you rush to their defense is why they feel they can continue to dupe you into buying rack extensions as a "software update." Everything Nick mentions is an EASY FIX. Yes, let me repeat that, an EASY fix. It is not and never was too much to ask for. Reason needs to do some serious catch-up work if it wants to play ball with the other DAWs on the market. Just look in the RE shop and you can find them along with RADICAL PIANO and SYNCRONOUS. Thanks for giving away what half of us ALREADY BOUGHT! They tried to scam us out of our workflow requests on this release. Just a marketing tactic to pull in new customers. SMH.
I think Ableton has been reading the comments that Reason users have been writing. AL10 seriously just added 5 or 6 of the feature requests the Reason community has been begging for, some for almost a decade. And AL did it in 1 release. I know they don't have the Grain & 1,000,000 of the same drum sample pitched up and down to sound slightly different or the more appealing look that Reason has, but they knocked Reason out of the park on a head to head with the Ableton version of Release 10. THAT IS AN UPGRADE!!

There is a reason I bought Reason 9.5 a month ago. It is just getting better and better! Btw. Thanks for the free upgrade. I love some of the new stuff, especially Europa! But cool to hear it has now more organic stuff in it^^
Weirdest thing about this program is it doesn't decimate my cpu, and I have a 4gb laptop, i've never had a crash, its insane. Because the programing is superb. Good ol Swedish programing.
Would glad to know if Reason audio quality has improved. I tested Reason in the past and drums loops and orchestral/instrumental patches were to low quality (no realism). This video doesn't impress me also, HD quality doesn't let through audio quality..?
Geez, what kinda of specs do I need to run all of these plug-in's at the same time? My PC is a little dated (over 10 years) it's running 3G RAM, AMD Celeron processor, Windows Vista. Yeah I know, but my funds at the moment aren't that good...so I can't afford to get a new PC.
At least they(Propellerhead devs) are trying...I still would like to see Solo Isolate/Solo defeat (which disables a track's solo) added to the mix channels. I used to route all 8 Master sends to 8 different Mix Channels (instead of Master Returns) to add insert fx. But....Reason doesn't have an option to disable the solo button, so when I solo a mix channel, all send fx are muted with everything else. Interesting that Reason's mixer is touted to be designed after SSL consoles but is still missing this feature.🤔
Leaves the DJ free to dish out the drugs. Anyone got a hall and some laser lights and smoke machines? I mean fuck it right, I was going to build renewable energy products and recycle materials for parts but theres no money in that.
yup it notified me after Reason 10 started up for the first time. This download is going considerably faster than the initial full install download, but its still slow from high volume of people downloading. Nearly 9 full gigs of sound between both downloads.
Marques Gause I understand. The organic sounds from Klang, Pangea and Humana are not just for EDM. Neither is radical piano. The soundscapes you can create with grain can be used in just about anything. Cinematic, pop, hip-hop, rock etc. The only limit is your imagination.
the problem with reason is that they keep pandering to rappers and beatmakers. If you have great strings, and horns, I dont want the demo to be added to synths and arps, in a freakin trap beat! Let the actual instrument play, and stop pandering to the idiots that cant play and are sinking your brand. If you pander to the 1-note herbie players, you will become another useless fruity-loops and not a professional platform for those that know hwat they are doing and how to play an instrument.
Professional means you get paid for what you do. Plenty of people making money using this software as well as fruity loops. There are plenty of real/acousitc instruments in Reason long before these devices came along. Plenty of people doing orchestra compositions using Reason. Why would a company not cater to the biggest/most popular music in the world? It's all music at the end of the day. Reason is what you make it, like life.

Because they're optional installs, along with the Drum & Loop Supply, you go to the Window menu and choose "Manage Content" to download and install them. /ryan
Thank you Ryan for the help.
Just look in the RE shop and you can find them along with RADICAL PIANO and SYNCRONOUS. Thanks for giving away what half of us ALREADY BOUGHT! They tried to scam us out of our workflow requests on this release. Just a marketing tactic to pull in new customers. SMH.
I already bought radical and syncro. What a crock of $hit!
what the hell why would you do that, anything else i might be missing out on .. ?
Reason you did it again. Ok i submit. Im upgrading!
My mom's kalimba ....
I'm going to wait for v11. Prefer odd releases. And frankly purchasing Expanse, and VK2 on sale a few weeks ago means I'm unlikely to upgrade.
@Nicola- Hi Troll. You should try not to be so obvious with your comments. You work for PH or Reason Talk.com?
How often Reason releases new versions?
I'm not able to find these instruments on reason+ can anyone help?
go into Window>Manage Content... they make you download it separate.
@@belljo thank you that was very helpful have down loaded.
@@Gmgl1981 I know I just found out about it not too long ago myself... I was a little upset it wasn't more clear... I didn't even know what I was missing.
@@belljo yes reason defiantly could make things a bit clearer, thank for your help would probably not have found it otherwise I'm still stuck looking for A-List guitar, there is probably other things I'm missing to.
There is a reason I bought Reason 9.5 a month ago. It is just getting better and better! Btw. Thanks for the free upgrade. I love some of the new stuff, especially Europa! But cool to hear it has now more organic stuff in it^^
That bass doesn't sound like it is in key
awesome,,,The Reason
fantastic!
Love it!!!
Weirdest thing about this program is it doesn't decimate my cpu, and I have a 4gb laptop, i've never had a crash, its insane. Because the programing is superb. Good ol Swedish programing.
3:43 intro for this song

Rocks!
They need to make this compatible with ipad pro
OK so now we can use ANY VST2 sampler on the planet within Reason - people are excited about a dedicated rompler? ?! 😂
fun whale drum turned into a hardcore 808 drum beat hahaha love it
Would glad to know if Reason audio quality has improved.
You have absolutely no chance of running it I'm afraid.
Bhodisatvas yeah, I thought so.
You could probably get a decent second hand PC for $129 ;).
Dope ! Dope ! Dope !!!!
Don't like the idea of creating music by a modular principle, but I'm so exited that you've added so many sounds to Reason 10.
Nice.
this is how iglooghost came to be
1:54 - 2:13 ... whale how about that!
why did you write this
5,good
Leaves the DJ free to dish out the drugs.
Anyone got a hall and some laser lights and smoke machines?
I mean fuck it right, I was going to build renewable energy products and recycle materials for parts but theres no money in that.
i like how everything is "trap" even though it's obviously not.
Trap sucks anyway, has gone the way dubstep did before it died, thanks to people like Skrillex predictable and boring.
What happened to the dude who narrated all these videos?
I cheered when my 3 gig FSB downloaded after 5 hours....I booed when reason 10 started and told me I had 6.6 more gigs of sounds to download...lol.
yup it notified me after Reason 10 started up for the first time. This download is going considerably faster than the initial full install download, but its still slow from high volume of people downloading. Nearly 9 full gigs of sound between both downloads.
Doesnt sound very organic to me
there is so much motivation in these videos hahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
paint by numbers music making is lame
TRAP.... Zzzzzzzz
I quite like these instruments but they're being put to pretty lame use here.
I'ma go imbiba fu... phone.
I see! This is for pop EDM crowd. I'll just wait for 11.
Judging by the way they snuck 10 out 11 might be years down the line...
Not at all. You can make any genre of music with Reason
Amanichai1 of course. I'm speaking about upgrades to the software specifically.
Marques Gause I understand. The organic sounds from Klang, Pangea and Humana are not just for EDM. Neither is radical piano. The soundscapes you can create with grain can be used in just about anything. Cinematic, pop, hip-hop, rock etc. The only limit is your imagination.
Its just the standard elitist music producer, "hurrdurr its for low life music like edm ima skip it"
the problem with reason is that they keep pandering to rappers and beatmakers.
Let it go boomer, go play with your tape 4-track or something
The choir is terrible ))
Ilya Zaitsev all choirs sound basic, until you add gate, reverb, echoes, to add flavor to them.
What!? They sound fantastic!
You need something like Logic's Space Designer reverb to get it sounding really good
Omnisphere voices are the best imo :)
Reason users are some of the most oblivious and talentless music creators in the production community
