Here's a little tip that I use. Clean the outside of the housing with brake cleaner b4 starting. Just another small step to keep things clean! Great job! Nice to see young folks not afraid to get their hands dirty!
The Rodrigch thank you. I’m not a mechanic. Just got tired of being at the mercy of shops. I don’t do everything correctly, just what techs and mechanics have told me along the way. Thanks for the tip. Will do from this point forward.
Bill Blair thanks for your comments. I will clean the dirt off the top and lube the O ring in the future. Question: if you already know so much, why are you here watching my vids? Good day bud.
Great vid! What about that spin-on Fuel Filter on the engine next to the oil dipstick, just inside of that Davco, that you serviced? Should you replace it at the same time? Go Navy!
I have the spin-on changed during routine PM’s every 20k miles. My DAVCO is generally a 100k miller filter (obviously depending upon fuel quality). In short, I really don’t need to change the spin-on. I carry one on the truck in case I run into a tank of crappy fuel, but honestly in 13 years it’s only happened once. Beat Army!!!
Question I have the same same truck and I have the check engine light and says connect engine service tool you cant tell me if you now I appreciate I work for swift to
I have the KW t660 with the paccar engine in it has no power 9 whatsoever on Knight gear is running up 15 to 1600 RPM when I go to the high side and jump back down at 12 RPMs 12 12 and a half RPMs that's ridiculous worst running engine I ever seen in my life I would never have another paccar engine and nothing not even my bicycle paccar you need to sit down and hang up the gloves because you're no good Pat car. Oh by the way I've had 6 batteries and 6 fuel filters within just December 2017 this is April 2018 I can't believe it.
You helped my bf and I. Thank you so much

Thanks for the great DIY video. Your camera person does a great job.
Two things. First I love how he is working with dirt over top of the empty bowl. Second I love how he never lubed the O rings with oil.

great video thanks
Awesome thank you
Is that oil in the filter ?
What size wrench did you use? And how often do you change this filter?
Change it as much as you need to if it's full to the top time to change
Couldn’t you just prime the it rather than having to siphon fuel?
Thank you driver
keep make vid is helpful thankx
Do you have an email where I can contact you? I have a question about an a/c water leak on a T680. Tks!

Say what?
Not 100k-mile filter....more like 10k
You need to find a better place to buy fuel. That is a 100k mile filter.
