I bought the EQS 580 in February 2022 because of the look and style and incredible comfort. Love it, would buy it again

I got mine in July 2022. My last two cars were a 2007 S550 and a 2017 S500. I will never go back to ICE or to 3 box design. Great car!

I had an EQS 580 and it was an amazing car as long as you never take it on a road trip. I just sold it back to Mercedes and I took a bath on it. Their value plummets! The MSRP was $148K, I purchased it for $104K with 904 miles and 3 months old. I kept it for 5 month and sold it with 4,300 miles and sold it for $85,000 (best I could get after going to 3 places). If you subtract 50 miles from the range, that is what you can expect at 100% charge if you drive highway speeds. The brother and I drove it to Corpus for a wedding from Houston and had 41 mile range when we arrived. I was driving between 75 and 80 mph. There were only 2 high speed charges in all of Corpus and took more than 3 hours over 2 days to charge it back to 100%; both chargers (one at MB) were closed on Sunday. The sad thing is that it as a Charge Point charger so I still had to pay to charge it up. You only get free charging for 2 years with electrify america and these are far between in Texas. That was the death of the car for me. In Texas there are just not enough charging stations that are level 3 to support road trips. And the EQS it NOT a true "S" class as it does not have near the room or comfort. Going back to a gas vehicle and doubt if I ever buy another electric car like this to take on road trips; that is what this car is designed to do in my opinion not just an in-town car. Mercedes did do an amazing job with the EQS sedan but wasting time charging so long on trips and being nervous about finding a charging station is not my idea of fun for sure.

Try a Tesla Model S Plaid. You'll get more range, power, better software and a world wide charging network.....

Mercedes' electric vehicles and their cars in general are piled up high at my local dealer here. I mean like 50 S-Classes, 25 SL's and dozens of EQS and EQE models. I have never see this many high end cars in stock at the dealer, even before covid.

The German Chancellor told all car manufactures they better get going on EV ASAP. They have no choice but to go EV

This is one of those vehicles that have to be experienced in person. The photos and videos are deceptive; it looks much sleeker in real life.

I think the ICE (gas) S class is much better looking outside. But I prefer the inside of this optioned EQS, unfortunately it is an expensive upgrade. The base model interior looks about the same as the ICE version.

I just got back from Alabama for the MB Experience. I will say they BLOW Tesla out of the water in drive comfort and everything. They had the Plaid there. The Intelligent 1 pedal driving works SO well. The rear wheel steer made a huge deal. Mercedes is also going to be making their own EV motors soon as well.
