So even after the terrorists did what they did, Nancy STILL didn't stop any "contesting" of the electoral college. There was still contesting and over 100 republicans voted against certifying. And if only "peaceful" rioters entered the building, they still would be guilty of illegally entering a Federal building at the minimum. Blaming Nancy on this mess seems to be a very big stretch.

This was also the first time they’ve had a mostly peaceful protest at the capital. BLM had a spring and summer full of mostly peaceful protests, but there were bad actors in both protests who destroyed it for everyone. Because Antifa ruined it for the peaceful protests this summer, the police and military were called out ahead of time. Neither side can have a voice anymore without being accused of violence because of the bad actors who aren’t there for the same message.

While you are correct somewhat, yes some were and I don’t blame them at all the issue is you don’t understand how these police are trained. They aren’t and weren’t prepared for this, they aren’t trained for something like this. I have been told from someone who worked at the capital as a police officer that they aren’t used to handling stuff like this like normal police are. Like how normal police will deal with riots, well the capital police don’t know how to handle it so they did the best they could. I watched it. I saw some people let them through but those officers were greatly outnumbered. They could not have stopped the wave coming at them. I also saw other officers where there was more in number trying to hold the line as best they could. Whatever entity or entities that left the police presence there so outnumbered and vulnerable has blood on their hands. The Intel was there for all to see that bad things were going to go down. What a horrible horrible thing to intentionally put those officers in harms way. I'm surprised and thankful we did not lose more of them. I hope they get to the bottom of this lack of police presence. It was intentional. It was intentional that backup was so late in coming. This was not because a cop moved aside a barrier or had their picture taken with someone. Call their actions ignorance, complicity or just self preservation. That was few.
