Yeah, but in the same sentence, it's not that big of a deal. It's a horror movie, lol. And the fact that Hollywood has to bring back an old movie from 1978 says even more. I always liked in the movie that when the shape DOES finally arrive, Laurie is totally ready for him, and her daughter and grandaughter are freaking out, but she is pretty calm, and only showed real fear during the bus scene, when she felt she had no control. Then he breaks out, and she is happy because she finally can kill him.
When that van drove off at 2:20 I was expecting Michael to be stood there🤣 I really love Jamie Lee Curtis and the passion she still has for Laurie Strode after so many years. The franchise would be empty without her🖤
I love how she talks with so much passion and understanding about her character, you can tell she put some thought in her performance, but I wish it had been more discussed in the movie. I LOVED it, but by the way she talks about it in interviews, I thought they'd be exploring the trauma aspect more in the movie. I wish they had put a scene during which she explains what happened right after this horrible night, how she went to school the next day as though nothing happened, how she didn't get support... Instead, we are presented with her being all paranoid and ready to fight. And it works, definitely. But it does make her seem like a crazy lady somehow, if there had been a scene exploring the immediate aftermath of her story, I think it would have been nice.
Halloween is extremely realistic. That is why it is my favorite horror film. Listen to Jamie Lee Curtis explain it. She has described the life of many women. Congratulations on your sobriety. Thanks for being such an incredible role model for women.

the part when he said she posed with a black man.....I have no idea what he is meaning. and I dn't remember it. what happened back then that he is referring to?
I saw Jamie Lee in person just before this Halloween movie came out. I attended a movie industry event called CinemaCon at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. I was my sister's guest and it's often attended by many movie stars promoting their films. The movie studios have blocks of time to utilize the Colosseum, the big theater in Caesars that seats about 4,000. We see many movie stars whose presentations are primarily for the theater owners, large movie chains and even family owned single theaters. When the Colosseum audience, myself inculded, saw Jamie Lee step onto the stage, there was a roar from the audience like for no other star all week long! It was a thrill! I'm still a fan of the original Halloween and consider it my own personal "scariest movie".
It’s awesome how she deeply knows her character. She’s been Laurie Strode for a long time, poor Laurie though, all that time and no help mentally to deal with it.

She was a good looking still in all the films!
I LOVE how seriously she takes the role, and the character. the way she "sells" Laurie to the camera is quite amusing, as though she's real. i suppose years of playing Laurie (and being paid a fortune for it) will make you speak in such a way. i LOVE JLC. i still can't believe her mother was the legendary Janet Leigh. Psycho (1960) is possibly one of my all time favourite ever 'slasher' films.
the part when he said she posed with a black man.....I have no idea what he is meaning. and I dn't remember it. what happened back then that he is referring to?
This interview could of gone without the music.
Gary Garibay eh i didnt mind it
😂
I love her so much . She’s a living legend and brave in real life as well
One of my favorite actresses
I could listen to her 24/7 🙏🏻❤️😊
Halloween just wouldn't be right without Jamie Lee Curtis playing Laurie Strode to me. 19 years sobriety, that's impressive!
I absolutely love Jamie Lee Curtis. I wish I could meet her and sit down like this someday !
Jamie Curtis is the best I’m so glad she play in all Halloween movies they all were Awesome she for sure need a Award for performances done well
It’s awesome how she deeply knows her character. She’s been Laurie Strode for a long time, poor Laurie though, all that time and no help mentally to deal with it.
Awesome interview! Jamie Lee is never less than real.
This Video has Impacted me highly, cause of Jamie Lee Curtis. In 2020 I’m PROUD OF JAMIE LEE FOR HER TO OPEN UP EMOTIONALLY ABOUT HERSELF PERSONALLY.... WHOS HERE IN APRIL 2020
She is a such a great interviewee, because you can tell she enjoys being in the moment and talking about her experiences. Very genuine. JLC rocks!

She seems so humble and just… normal. I’d love to hang out with her
I felt the movie was good. I’m a Halloween & Jamie Lee fan & horror fanatic along w/my husband. It was the audience of the theater that pissed me off. I hate it had so many spoilers on the internet in previews bc some ppl couldn’t stfu & resulted in others 🤫 ppl.. Jamie is incredible in EVERYTHING. I loved “Mother’s Boys.” I’d like to see a remake of that but I think Only she holds that crown to play role, Lol.
Omg her final words made really think about what we leave here on this earth as a legacy, amazing actress and hope so see more of her now! we are not getting any younger..
She seems like a genuine person and a good actor too. Like she said, she have done more than the halloween movies. Freaky Friday for example, pretty good movie

The makeup department could have done a better job on her. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
A very talented actress, who is very down to Earth, and is honest and straight forward. Respect.
This is an epic interview of Jamie lee Curtis on the new Halloween she seems so down to earth and so humble wow just saw the new Halloween a few hours ago loved it Jamie lee was great 8n it she still has it
Already seen this at the movies twice and I plan on seeing it at least once more in theater. Such a dope movie. I agree with a previous comment... the three Strode ladies were great. Jamie was awesome as usual.
O____O
I normally sometimes skip through but when it comes to Jamie and my most favorite Horror film Halloween 🎃 🔪 I watch the whole thing - The only Laurie Strode’s I love Are Jamie and Scout-Taylor but more so Jamie cuz let’s face it no one can ever top Jamie she is Laurie. Scout in my opinion does a good Justice to Laurie I really can’t see anyone else do Laurie better besides those two but really, there will always be one true Laurie and of course that is the Lovely
Jamie-Lee Curtis. ❤️❤️👑
“Despite having no discernible talent...” What!! Jaime Lee Curtis is one of the most talented actresses I’ve EVER seen.
