Her story and music helped me get out of my abusive relationship yrs ago. The first time I saw her changed my life! I owe her my happiness. My heart is broken and some of my youth is gone with her passing. She was simply the Best!

Americans did not appreciate her enough. Here in Europe she was a Rock Queen. When nobody would touch her in US before Private Dancer, she toured here successfully. We don't forget our legends. She's ours, true European! ❤
I am European American. She is incredibly beloved in America also. The public wanted her but those studios were run by a bunch of mysoginistic men. She moved to Switzerland because her companion lived there and he was much younger, still working in his Country. She wanted to slow down and live a quiet life with him. If she did not have a partner in Europe she probably would have stayed in US. She did love Europe though and yes, was so loved there!! It was a great choice for her and she was surprised by how she rose to fame overseas! The older generation in America do consider her the Queen too!

Tina Turner was one hell of a performer! She was magic on stage and endless amounts of energy. She will truly be missed.
Tina's personality, talent and creative spirit was electrifying. She exploded with unbridled energy in performance, and showed us all the heights to which a person with inner strength and passion can reach. She inspired us with her joy and we reacted with awe. Love's got everything to do with it.

I saw a concert by TINA TURNER about forty years ago and since that evening I have never forgotten her: she possessed a black VOICE of rare beauty: powerful in any tonality: from very bluesy low timbres to ever higher notes that went up and up UP TO THE SKY. He was an "enchanting" stage ANIMAL: he possessed charm, beauty and physique "to spare". Observing TINA, it was understood very well that for HER singing was PURE FUN, therefore, thanks to this STRENGTH OF HER, she was able to "infect" all the audience present right from the first song. Just for the record, it should be NOTED that he has always had a lot of taste in selecting EXCELLENT MUSICIANS and GOOD CHOIR SINGERS to take with him on tour, especially in the 70s and 80s. TINA TURNER is one of the greatest ROCK singers in the HISTORY OF MUSIC and will ALWAYS remain ALIVE in our most beautiful musical memories...!!! R.I.P. TINA 🎤👏👏👏💔❤

Though I knew it was coming I was still very saddened to hear of Tina's passing. Tina was a legend, a muse, an inspiration and an icon. Her talent, her look, the way she moved, her voice, the way she performed - all of these have infuenced not only other artists but so many of us, and touched us personally. For me it feels almost like losing a member of our family .For me Tina was the epitome of resilience, adaptation and career longevity. She offers us all hope that we can reset when necessary, and continue developing, and finding new relevance. She teaches me to play the long game. Her story and her career intersections with Roger Davies, Heaven 17, David Bowie, Lionel Richie, Bryan Adams and Mick Jagger, remind me that every one of us is a team effort. Tina's energy and spirit and the giving-ness of her performance style have helped me personally in times of adversity and challenge.
