Many, many years ago I was invited to a cook-out in the back of a beautiful brownstone in my City, and when I saw this beautiful lady both physically, treated me so well and welcoming and many people knew that I have no ideas who she was. No one called her by any names. I’ve a great times at that event and after almost forty years I realized that I have personally interacted with one of the greatest artist of our time Mrs. Tina Turner. How humble, caring, elegantly, sophisticated, realistic, dedicated, humanistic and calm she’s. God bless her always!🙏
A special gift that is pure love. She just died , they said of a long illness. I guess her husband's kidney helped her for a few years. Poor man, he lost her anyway.

A far cry from the horrible tortured past she endured with Ike. Although I am sad to see her go, I am glad her final years were kind and peaceful ones.

I could listen to her sing or talk about the most nonsensical of things all day every day. She is pure talent and class!
"I just think I don't talk as quick." and here I was thinking that she's very quick, articulate, well-spoken, and her speaking voice is probably one of the best ones I've heard. She's like the grandmother or the aunt that will always have great stories to tell. I hope she treats us one last performance. She was a FORCE on stage. I'm jealous I didn't get to see her perform before she retired im from Jamaica in my 20s and this lady voice really saved my life from a suicide @twopeople

I saw her in concert many years ago. She was phenomenal. She's a legend. She will be missed by her family, friends, those that loved her and her millions of fans who loved her and her music. She had to go through so much to become the fabulous woman she became. I'm sad she's gone. But so grateful she will never have to suffer or be in pain again. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family, friends and love ones.

She is a hero to women who have been hurt and abused, she is a hero to all women in general. She should also be viewed as a hero for people, not only women. She is supremely talented, beautiful and intelligent. Her music is timeless, it isn't something that will go out of style. When I put her music on I still get chills and it doesn't feel like it's older music or dated. It feels as current to me as it ever was.

That is how I felt when it was announced that Aretha was gravely ill and then her passing. The terrible reality is that we're getting into the waning years of all these legendary ladies are they're really getting up in age. It's awful and I don't want to think about it.

Tina I had a cerebral hemorrhage in 1986 and while i was recuperating you gave me inspiration. You had struck out on your own and the public was learning about your abusive life with Ike. I was so proud how you fought back, stood up for yourself and went on to have an exceptional career. You gave me hope and inspiration. I kept thinking you had it worse then me and look what you achieved. I was paralyzed on my right side too. But I too have a very loving, devoted husband who helped me back. You were and always will be my inspiration. God Bless and I am glad you had a good recovery and a wonderful husband to support you.

If you haven’t... search and listen to Tina sing ‘Edith & The Kingpin’. This is why I get so sad to hear Tina say she’s retired, as I genuinely believe she has a beautifully mellow Jazz album in her left to record.
Tina always wanted to make a jazz record. But she was scared of how her fans would react if she got away from rock and roll.
