Well, this aged like fine wine…
After seeing Puss In Boots 2, it is absolutely possible to juggle tons of plot points within 90 minutes and manage to get a great movie out of it.
Heck, some movies I've seen recently are hurt by having too long a runtime. I'm sorry to people that loved The Batman, but to me that movie didn't need to be nearly three hours long. Particularly some of the panning shots and the ending could have been cut down and nothing would be lost.
It's better to want more than to want something to be over.
Absolutely agree!! I think people are just in denial with just how good this movie looks.
I’m sorry but I don’t particularly think this video will age well. I do not think runtime is in the Least concerning. They can handle all these plot lines fine in an hour and 30 mins! Also it means no filler. Also you literally bring up references that will last barely any time. A smash bros reference in for one second isn’t going to bloat a movie. A Donkey Kong reference also won’t. Also one last thing. If you are going to say it’s just his normal voice with slight Brooklyn accent. Doesn’t the same go for Charlie day? Also Anya Taylor Joy is just using her normal voice as well. Trust me this movie will be the first great video game movie.
Referring to the last sentence, Sonic 2 didn't come out just last year?

Not every movie needs to be 2 hours long lol especially animated ones.
I understand the worry of soo many things and setpeices and references being shown off; with how it'll all turn out; like ditto.
But you're underestimating just how much an 1 hour and half exactly is. Like that is plenty enough to tell a story ; not everything needs to be fucking Marvel length lol.

IDK about the Mario movie myself I'm not that hyped. I don't think it'll be better than either of the Sonic movies. You have good points about the over-saturation of content and fan service in the trailers but I hope it's just for marketing's sake.
