You have no idea what you have given me haha I hate rare steaks I have to always have well done but still very juicy and you have just done that loving the editing of your video you have a new supporter and subscriber here.
Ive been married for 10 years amd my wife wont eat a steak with a shred of pink in it so ive been at this a long time lol. Whether cast iron or grill the number 4 main things to making a juicy and tender are 1. Buy a good steak. You get what you pay for with steaks. Dont buy a sirloin and expect ribeye quality. 2. Sit steak out until room temp. 3. Get a good crust and cook till about 155 internal, neber over 160. 4. Let it rest 5 min minimum for a thinner steak, 10 min for a regular thinckness and 15 for a really thick steak. I like everything you did except putting foil over it at the end. I stopped doing this long ago bc the moisture trapped in there makes the crust turn mushy at times. Great video sir.
My bf tried this out yesterday and we both loved it! I personally can't handle or stomach meat that looks/feels/smells raw at all so I'm really happy I found this video, thank you sm 😊
I'm so happy to see someone do this! Where I'm from, there is no rare or medium rare steak. There's done and raw. Steak that's not properly cooked can be quite dangerous and there is nothing wrong with a well-done steak. It is juicy and flavourful if cooked right.
Thank you! My GF likes well done steaks. I prefer mine differently, but I'm not going to argue with anyone's preferences. Every time we go somewhere it seems like her steak isnt great. I've been trying to teach myself to make a good one for her. Thanks for the video.

Well done tutorial. I guess through my childhood, my family's cooking choice was either "Raw, or well done." You have a fun personality too. Can't wait to try this out at some point.
Thank you so much!. Not all of us like steak rare but getting it thoroughly cooked while not making it tough is tricky. Want to share another trick someone taught me to tenderise cheaper cuts of meat. Cut a kiwi fruit & rub both sides of the steak, leave to marinate for about 20 mins. or longer, its up to you. If you don't have kiwi fruit, the enzymes in other fruits can work also. I usually keep fresh cut kiwi fruit in the freezer for when it's out of season. You don't need to thaw it out to use it. This fruit is so effective in tenderising the meat it almost dissolves it. Its amazing.
Hopefully you still answer questions on an older video, but when you say remove from the heat to put in the oven, are you just putting the skillet in the oven? Or does the meat need to come off the hot skillet?
Hello my friend! Put the pan in the oven with the steak in it . And you don't have to flip it while in the oven. Hope this helps have a great day cheers!
I recently went to a steakhouse and ordered a ribeye well done. The owner came out and said if I would try it "cooked the right way", and he would comp me if I wanted it cooked more done and make me a new one. It came medium and I took one bite and shook my head. He made me a well done steak and it was fantastic. He said, "I don't get it!" about a half dozen times. I told him I don't get why anyone wants a steak or burger under well done. No taste.

Then I swear it on the pan and let it rest. Very juicy at 166F internal, and my father loves it.
