the solo was really cool, it's funky rock and it's a band performance. Cobus can't have that luxury. the performance was really awsome, and yes this is for kids, and for all the ages, because this is music my friend, real and pure music.
My buddy and I have a band (I'm drums, he plays guitar, sings and records bass) and we write our own songs. We switch off between writing (we write lyrics, and then he sings it with a melody) and we just goof around trying to come up with parts, its so much fun.
I feel the best way to write a song is to jam with friends and just happen to come across a fantastic melody or bassline, whatever. That way, you can use each other's ideas and opinions to write a fantastic song.
This was recorded ages ago, for the cobus method, It's a clip from the actual cobus method, hence it's not new, hence he was still using his TRX's back then. Hope I helped :)

A Real musician knows when to solo and when to just keep tempo/beat and play simple.So thats why he's just playing nice and simple with the group. He isn't trying to hog all the attention. He's not like that..Give the guy some credit...Look how far he's gotten guys....I'm just saying...

I think his solo just fitted on the music groove. Like ryanlikeshockey said, sometimes less is more. It was so smoothly funkie, besides this full big awsome project, i think they did just fine :)
Well, there's this thing called "feel" and being goddamned fucking awesomely tight on the beat, and he's constantly showing off by having feel and being goddamned fucking awesomely tight on the beat.
In the soft part, they did such an effort to play so soft, that it sounded so loud, and I mean so deep, I felt like the volume was much louder in the soft part...
