My tires are BF Goodrich g-Force KD 🔷 -Front 275/40ZR/17 98Y 9.5” rim -Rear 315/35ZR/17 102Y 11.5” rim. They are about 13 years old and need to be freshened up. I have a Tremec TKO 5 speed and I completely roast 1st gear, spin all through 2nd and a little at the beginning of 3rd. I have CalTracs traction control bars in the rear and I’m hoping that these tires will improve my launch on the street. 🇺🇸💪🏼

I put them on one my fox bodies and nearly jumped a curb by over correcting. They are definitely a great handling tire and super sticky! Hooked better than Nitto D/R’s

@@FitmentIndustries just an update driving my R35 in the storm from Bowie, MD to Ocean City held up pretty good cruising at 70mph. I mean it drives like a normal car. It changed my confidence level for the better having the r888r tires on my GT-R weather if it is rain or shine the tire works well on the road. Thank you

I called Tire Rack and they said that they won’t sell them to me if I’m using them on the road since they are intended for autocross. Just ask a shop to order them for you. Most tire shops will put whatever you want on your car if it fits. And their wholesellers don't restrict tire purchases whatsoever. I work at a shop and my coworkers have gotten everything from r888rs to drag slicks without question.
I am after a tire that can hook up good even when cold with 500lbft tq. RWD. I currently have Yokohama AD08R and they are really good, but if the road surface is not new and grippy, then they don't do a good job. My LSD is being built currently. What tire would you recommend?
I use 345 NT05R on my supercharged C6Z. They last two seasons or so at the strip and are very cheap. I was getting 1.5-1.6 60’ with too much positive camber, so it could do better.
the NTO5 is a great daily + track tire for the money. NT01 is pretty much track only. both Nitto and Hankook offer very good value vs performance. Hankook RS4 is also a great one. are any of these tires good in the rain? hell no. will any of them have good tread life? that's a big hell no.
my mechanic is saying these are too soft and ill tear em up in one season ? EJ8 with b18 type r swap. thoughts? he suggest ed the neo gen from Nitto. but i fucking love the look of these. :/ me dunno dude.

If you are worried about the noise , you are not going fast enough. These tires do make some sound at cruising speed but that’s all part of the experience. I can no lift shift through the twisties and not upset the car. I am going to start hoarding these now.

Nobody should buy these R888r for daily driving, that’s not what they are built for, they are built to handle high HP applications on the weekends.

I’ve seen 900hp 720s and and 800hp hellcat lose 0 traction on these on a unprepped drag strip. Solid tire.

i went Nitto NTO5 315/35 on widebody Redeye , i will say Huge diff over the stockers.
I have them on my rx7 fd and it handles the power easily and I’ve yet to break them free going into a corner while letting off

I mean if you have to take on the weather then I would just advise driving safe, avoiding water pile up on spots on the road to prevent hydroplaning!

That’s the tire that I’ve been using on track, daily and canyon driving. They do last long and great for wet roads which they’ve known for

Tread wear rating if it's low the tire will grip more and not last long
