Hello! Just wanted to drop a comment to say how much I love your channel ❤ The videos are easy to follow-- there are those that are simple enough to incorporate into everyday meals, and some that can be made for when you need something a little bit more special. The casual tips you share are so helpful too! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your knowledge. Japanese food used to be very intimidating to me, but you make it very approachable. I look forward to trying out more of your lovely recipes!

thank you for another wonderful video. I used to eat this in Japan but I never knew how simple the recipe for shiratama is. Not sure if its easy like you make it seem, but I'm eager to try it out.

This reminds me of hong dou tang, a similar dessert that my Chinese boyfriend loves. I want to make this for him!

Fascinating .. I would never have thought to add sugar to beans. Adzuki beans .. hmmm don't know if I can get them here in the Netherlands. Could I use kidney beans or lentils instead? Rice flour dumplings. I'll have to try these. Thanks again for another great recipe.

This is something you either LOVE or HATE. Beans are supposed to be savory for many western people so sweet beans can ba something very new to you. Kidney beans would work but I’m not sure about lentils.

My mochi was way too hard 😢, why is that?

I didn't stand next to you while you was cooking 😅 but I have a few solutions:
1 - Use shiratamako - the right rice flour type.
2 - Use yeast - will make mochi softer - we Vietnamese call them "bánh bò".
3 - Don't over-microwave or use powerful microwave ovens because they can overcook zenzai (making them as hard as stone).

Oh wait, I realized that she boils them. In this case, try not the overboil them. (As soon as they float, immediately stop the cooking process by shock them with cold water).
