I used be be at 200 ng/dl, and was able to quintuple my levels within a span of 7 years. I can gain muscle quite rapidly but not nearly the rate Mike progresses. At my prime, I gained 40 lbs in 3 months. People thought i was on roids due to trap size. I gained quite a bit of fat and water weight. It took me 6 months to get my bf % down to appear shredded. I was eating very clean at the time. It took 6-7000 calories per day to add the mass. I follow the law of conservation of energy like Mike. I don't kill myself in the gym.. I train intensely in short spurts and use proper nutrition for recovery.... Obviously, he would lose profit if he came out clean. No one gains 40 lbs in 2 weeks without gear + excessive appetite- all while maintaining lower bf %. Mike recently posted a vid about this feat. He claims his testosterone has been low his entire life. His argument is that women gain mass with such low levels. So, he chose a wife with a good build to try to further prove this claim. Guess what ..Women are way more sensitive to testosterone than men whereas men are more sensitive to estrogen. His reddish skin and extreme vascularity point to testosterone + GH usage. He gives good solid advice but intermittently spouts BS lies.
I always had a negative perception of Mike based totally off of the garbage I watched on RUclips from other commentators. Since I started watching him I’ve come to really like him. He’s the real deal no doubt. Titan up!

Man, I'm 51 (August) and have been getting back into the workouts since about 2015 and trying to maintain consistency. It's NOT easy, but as you mention, it's mostly mental. Getting yourself to the gym regularly, training smart (right exercises, good form, low-risk), thinking about your diet and having the discipline to stick to something that's healthy. (not talking "diet" diet, just good nutrition) There's obviously something you're doing right Mike!
You’re definitely the top guy out there. All that steroids or not bullshit to the side, hands down you give the best and most educated and detailed advice out there. If people would just listen and absorb all that knowledge and information instead of whining and complaining and accusing them maybe they’d see a change. Can’t help em all boss, only the ones willing to let you.

If watching this helps motivate you to be better, work harder, eat cleaner and most importantly live healthier, that's great. I watch these to get tips on technique, and see what they're eating. Just don't be foolish and think all these huge dudes are doing this naturally, or without any kind of gear, cuz they are. Not to mention, they've built their lives around this, and they can afford everything needed to be able to do it at this level. The bottom line is you're not reaching these heights without years (understatement) of advanced training with extreme levels of dedication and sacrifice, working from the ground up. On top of that, there are illegal substances being used. So in many ways, a lot of this is false advertising. These are unrealistic and quite frankly unhealthy images to want to attain. But, at the end of the day, you take what you want out of this. And hopefully you're not deluded into thinking that this level of training is achievable for most people or is even healthy.
@@gmpm I get what you're saying, but with me being in medical school, I can't afford any of the supplements or equipment they use without a doubt, but I like watching the videos because it motivates me to get to the gym and workout. It would be very unrealistic for me to think that I can get to their level and personally don't want to get to that level. I'm currently training to compete in a triathlon and have lost over 20lbs. I'm trying to get leaner not bigger. I just like the motivation, plus some times they say funny stuff in the videos. I appreciate you taking your time to write that response though. Thank you.
Mike try eccentric style training (mainly 5 sec negatives). Example DB chest press up the weight fast, followed by 5 sec negative flyes. I believe Mentzer used a slow method and barely see anyone use it anymore
Dude how is your gym open? We live in Sacramento and all ours are closed and we're on a curfew from 10pm to 5am. I thought Southern California was even stricter.

I've seen him and others advocate for 10-12 percent bf but up to 15 by a few others. Single digit I don't believe is recommended by anyone and unsustainable while also being detrimental to your physical and mental health
