If you are not a contractor, farmer, landscaper or somebody that regularly tows heavy equipment there are no reasons whatsoever to buy a $80k truck. Unless, of course, you are incredibly insecure about your masculinity, size and stature, then you just gotta pony up
Dealers sometimes drive cars briefly and then sell them as used to circumvent factory penalties. Additionally, they might add upscale wheels and protective coatings, inflating the price by an additional $10,000 to $15,000. It's crazy out there.
I used to sell cars. Go at the end of month/year, ask to remove the dealer add on costs. Those costs are usually lies because the vehicle usually comes with those things from the factory.
This is why I buy used. Purchased a 2010 dodge charger in excellent condition- 2 years ago. It had 115k miles and I paid $4,500. It's been my primary vehicle and I absolutely love it.

My family and I are only getting through this mess by the grace of God. Several well timed financial decisions and interstate/international moves have put us all in a very good spot. When I bought a Subaru brand new in 2018 my car payment was $541. I bought my 2019 Subaru in 2022 because I totaled that one, sadly only had $10k left to pay on it. Now I have a used car that I put $8,000 down on and still have $30,000 left to pay. Is it inflation or is it greed?? I am starting to think it’s the latter.

Actually, plenty of people buy new vehicles. Factories would shutter if no one purchased new vehicles. It's a matter of value, brand what you are buying and affordability. Also, whether he is grateful or not, vehicles prices are insane, even used prices are crazy. That's the point.
After a long day of work my sore butt deserves the best. New SUV it was. Oh, yeah, I also crank the A/C like it’s going out of style. And the vented seats are fun, too.
Like someone said in the comment section. It's all about supply and demand. We are the ones who drive the market. Not the dealerships. Instead of buying for rims, try buying for utility.
Im legit not even paying my car note if full. I looked at my statements. I’ve been paying on my dodge caravan for almost three years and I’ve only had $3000 go towards the principle. My car note is $510!!!! THREE FKN YEARS!!!! I feel stupid. I just don’t care any more. I call and let them know this is all I got. Here’s a $100. I don’t care!!! I’ll give a huge chunk during tax time.
Listen, sell that shyt. Caravans are junk anyway. Sell it and buy a small, old used Toyota/Honda. I'm telling you, you will be sorry if you don't. Sell it for whatever the market will pay and get rid of your debt.
@@Dw_ool0that just means that their interest rate is above 15%. Probably 18% once I did the math making the principle only $91 and some change monthly which would be around $3300 for 3 years. So.. yeah. I hate that for ppl
I hear you! I have a 2009. Took great care of it thank God! But I will be on the market soon since I have 190K miles on it and counting. I'm driving it until the wheels fall off. I'm starting to save now so I can buy out right.
I have a 2003 King ranch. Apparently I’m going to hit a million miles because I couldn’t imagine paying 100k for a different body style with the same features.
I would never ever in my life pay more than 1/3 of a years salary for a car. No way in hell i'd pay more than that. Simple example: if you make 30k a year after tax, id say pay maximum 10k for a preowned car. Toyota or Honda last an eternity. And DONT lease a car, it's crazy that people even consider doing stuff like that.
my Neighbor across the street bought a loaded nicely optioned 2014 Maroon Dodge Ram back then for $38,890. They wanted $44,400 at the time, and he talked them down to that price brand new. He still has it, and it still looks good, but he only puts like 10K miles a year on it.
My 2012 jeep patriot was 8 grand after financing tack on an extra 11 grand. My dealer said weeks prior he could get me in a new kia for 15. i saved hella for the down payment only to “no longer be approved”. Before leaving the lot they said jeep had new breaks, battery, etc.- “it runs like its brand new” spiel… i had to get a new battery 2 months later because it was leeking and kept freezing over, they replaced the breaks but not the worn-down rotors, and the axel bar was apparently rusted over and chipping every-time i drove. So i put another 8 grand into fixing my car. The total amount i put in is 27,000 not to forget the 800 insurance for because i was a teen and was not able to switch to a lower insurance until 20. Now i have like 2 Gs left on my payment and Chrysler keeps trying to get me to trade in my car, at this point im never purchasing another car unless this gets totaled.
Half of this falls on the consumers, why the heck would anyone pay way over msrp on a new car. Ive bought new cars years ago and you never left the lot paying even msrp you always talked them down or you left. Keep driving the junk you have for a few more years. Would have been great if everyone took a stand and seen the dealerships panic and lower prices
I buy old beaters with heaters. 4 bangers. I fix them myself and take care of them. I bought a 1999 toyota camry for $1300 4 years ago. 236k miles. Now has 258k miles. I also recently bought a 2006 nissan sentra 4 banger. 177k miles. $2k. Ill beat around these cars for years. Camry goes bad, i got the nissan.
I refuse to pay those high prices. My ac out in my 2014 Kia optima. Runs great. Ac repair price 1046.00 parts and labor. Saving for it now. I can't do high car payments.
when did cars/trucks got this expensive? when people made stupid choices and decided to go in and pay those prices like you had something to prove to your neighbors 😂😂😂😂😂
the reason why they are so high is because people are buying used cars and even my car in 2005 was 25k but I sold it for 2k in 2020 and it was still functioning so beautifully. follow with the maintenance and that thing can last you 30 or more years
I CAN ATTEST TO THE GIRL I HAVE THE EXACT SAME SITUATION: I’m a lower middle class guy. I was paying $330 a month for a brand new civic and 120 insurance… 2 years later im paying $470 a month for a SENTRA and 200 insurance. Nothing changed, and my insurance was supposed to go DOWN after I turned 25. I feel like a loser

Why wouldbyou buy a pos Ram when you have utes... What a royal pain in the ass just to get into the damn truck.
Here in Australia everything is overpriced😂
A pickup truck/farmers truck, the new pimp mobile for working farmers. Watch out for the chickens and hogs!
75k......trippin.......I bought a used Honda hybrid for 4k ,,,,,,I'm good ....
Normie's are starting to Wake Up. ..Finally.
The chick in the bathroom funny !!thanks for the laughs
Companies didn't increase the prices. Government printing of the dollar decreased the value of the old prices
Be grateful that you have a car. Who buys a new vehicle? It depreciates as soon as you drive away.
Old vehicles are problematic
See the main problem is that jobs ain't paying nothing if so this wouldn't be a complaint
Yup all they did was slap a sports sticker decal on it and now it’s worth 70k
It’s crazy, ridiculous!! The interest rates and marks up are…….
Ummm 510 per month times 36 months is 18360.
Unless your interest loan rate is TRIPLE digits that is impossible
@@Dw_ool0that just means that their interest rate is above 15%. Probably 18% once I did the math making the principle only $91 and some change monthly which would be around $3300 for 3 years. So.. yeah. I hate that for ppl
Yet another individual who for whatever reason believed the value of the dollar would never change.
And my answer respectfully is “NO THANK YOU!!” Our older model car is PAID FOR!! And yes we always do regular maintenance.😊
I hear you! I have a 2009. Took great care of it thank God! But I will be on the market soon since I have 190K miles on it and counting. I'm driving it until the wheels fall off. I'm starting to save now so I can buy out right.
And that's why I'm still driving my Honda CR-V I bought for $18,500 in 2003.
The Prices need to go up another 50 percent 🤣🤣🤣
50k-75k used to get you the fully loaded king ranch special edition, all leather with all the extras. 😂
Almost a quarter million for a Escalade is wild...
Hell no on that Ram 1500….F no!
my Neighbor across the street bought a loaded nicely optioned 2014 Maroon Dodge Ram back then for $38,890. They wanted $44,400 at the time, and he talked them down to that price brand new. He still has it, and it still looks good, but he only puts like 10K miles a year on it.
Cool story brah
No way anyone can pay those prices. Keep looking for another vehicle...😮
I remember buying my first car in mid 2018 it was a 2007 bmw 335i for only 3700 dollars no cap
You bought a problem that's why
@@Cogic it was great for about a year and half before it started acting up I was tenn so I think I was a pretty good deal
@@cherifc9391 O well you gotta year out of it that's cool
My two older model reliable Toyotas I'm so grateful for. Yes I'm going to pamper and service my babies to the tee and drive them as long as possible.
That first woman was delusional. That car payment was good and you got to shop around. It’s not getting better just the way the government wants it ,
Half of this falls on the consumers, why the heck would anyone pay way over msrp on a new car. Ive bought new cars years ago and you never left the lot paying even msrp you always talked them down or you left. Keep driving the junk you have for a few more years. Would have been great if everyone took a stand and seen the dealerships panic and lower prices
I bought a cheap honda beater for $4k. Fixed it up and im holding onto it for as long as i can
I buy old beaters with heaters.
Smart man.
@@retiredinbali9565 Thanx man. I've always been Iike this. I value the things I have and work for. Have a great day, wherever you are.
I refuse to pay those high prices. My ac out in my 2014 Kia optima. Runs great. Ac repair price 1046.00 parts and labor. Saving for it now. I can't do high car payments.
Rising prices on trucks = billionaires do not want you to drive something that helps you be self sufficient
When you let the government into private sector😂.
You will own nothing, and be happy! 🤣🤣🤣
when did cars/trucks got this expensive? when people made stupid choices and decided to
go in and pay those
prices like you had something to prove to your neighbors 😂😂😂😂😂
A used Tesla is barely lower than a brand new one.
the reason why they are so high is because people are buying used cars and even my car in 2005 was 25k but I sold it for 2k in 2020 and it was still functioning so beautifully. follow with the maintenance and that thing can last you 30 or more years
I CAN ATTEST TO THE GIRL I HAVE THE EXACT SAME SITUATION: I’m a lower middle class guy. I was paying $330 a month for a brand new civic and 120 insurance…
2 years later im paying $470 a month for a SENTRA and 200 insurance. Nothing changed, and my insurance was supposed to go DOWN after I turned 25. I feel like a loser
Money Printing and Greedflation.
They tryna kill us.
The cheapest car in America is the Mitsubishi Mirage, but it's being discontinued. Just like the Chevy Spark and Kia Rio. Good luck, Millennials and Gen Z. We're rooting for you. 😬😳😦
Right now I drive a 2010 RAV4. It drives great. I keep up with the maintenance. Before that I had a 1995 Celica. I drove it for 19 years. I dont like car payments. I dont try to keep up with the Joneses. The technology they have in newer cars right now is nice but for me and my pocketbook, its not mandatory.
Everything became THAT expensive after COVID hit and forced human mammals to acknowledge their own capacity (or lack thereof) for independent thought. One of the few developed countries in which it's own adult population struggle with large scale illiteracy. In America you obviously don't have to know how to read or write...you simply have to know how to pay. Og°

Preach!
You don't have to buy anything. Just wait and negotiate.
$75,000 on top of that is fees taxes destination charges that's how you're done your way over hundred thousand dollars for pickup truck
If they can track a thief, they can track you! How about you just stop the stealing in the first place by putting the ones you catch in jail for a long while? Eventually you’ll run out of thiefs
I feel you on that. You can get an Apple iTag and monitor on your iPhone. A pack of 4 for under $100. Stop the robbery.
Same pricing in Az. Now dealers forgo MSRP and use their own SRP. Jackin' up prices. No thanks.
Trucks been expensive. The Ford trucks going for 100k
Called inflation.
It’s the value of the underlying currency going down.
It’s because they fought the wrong enemy in WW2.
