It is CRAZY how long it took for Hot Toys to make Battle Droids and Clones and other prequel characters. It is like as if they thought most people still hated the prequels.

Very silly of them. More likely some dumb edict from Lucasfilm - from Disney essentially.
It looks very accurate and better made than the sideshow ones. The sculpt is on point and the weathering doesn't disappoint. The only minor critique I have is that they haven't added the paint chips that show the white primer underneath, but other than that, I'll be picking this one up.

but I was looking forward to adding to my sandy footprints base collection! Nice to see how well designed this guy is. It is fun to see that he can be rolled into transport mold.

Antennae, like you said, is for bugs.

I been buying up a-lot of Hot Toys Sixth Scale figures these past few months and always enjoy you're videos. Had to look up you're review on him because I got him earlier today and even though he does feel fragile, he's a pretty solid figure. I might keep him in Transport mode until I obtain the Super battle droid, Darth Sidious and Padme. Still debating on Mace Windu but definitely need to get Anakin and maybe down the line Count Dooku. He just doesn't seem to fit in with my KX-Enforcer Droid or IG-11 or The Mandalorian Set of figures lol

The droid beside the clones and Dooku is accurate to lore as B1s stand at 6’3, Clones are 6’ and Dooku is 6’5

I’ve got two of these bad boys coming and I cannot wait! I plan on displaying one with C-3PO head and one regular. I really hope that the B-1 will be the CIS version of the clones and we will get variants from Hot Toys. 🤞 pick up two super battle droids and have them flank Dooku. Do you think we will ever get a Commando battle droid?

Coming back to this, what is Hot Toys doing? Do they realize how well the original tan battle droids would sell, the amount of money from collectors and army builders they'd get from that version! They need to seriously consider at least announcing the regular version, because then at least we can get an estimated year time, but right now it's looking like past 2025 (for a mold they already have mind you)!

It's so tempting to grab this - but I am specifically waiting for OOM-9 (The droid commander from Episode 1). I love the original tan Droids, so if the next B1 they announce isn't OOM-9, then I'll settle with tan.
Not a huge fan of the Geonosis B1 Paint Scheme.
I wonder when they'll do a Super Battle Droid. I'd pay a LOT for that.
They also need to make general grievous, to show sideshow how is done.
