- Welcome back to Carolina Custom Classics! Faith and I had our hands full with this old abandoned Flathead. It fought me almost the entire way, from being locked up and valves stuck, to head bolts breaking and so forth, but we were determined to get the ol girl running and give it life again after sitting 58 years!! I couldn't film much of it running there at the end due to my SD card being maxed out, but if you want a part 2, comment and let me know! Thanks for watching and yall be blessed!

@ glad you enjoyed the video and I will definitely give that a shot! Thanks!
@ awesome can’t wait to see the results of it you would wanna put the 8 cylinder can of engine restore in with the Lucas with fresh oil I suspect you will see a very quick improvement I can’t wait til your next video I watch all your videos

My pleasure, thank you for watching!
Great video and thank you for doing a compression test. I wish more "will it run" guys would do that.
Thanks! I agree, it's important to know what you're dealing with.
Great to see you saving some of our automotive history!
Thanks! It's definitely something I enjoy doing.
Great channel !!! yes to a part two!!!!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
Yes Sir let's see some more of that flat head running ! Love them shoebox Fords !😃
Same here! Thanks for watching!
Great video. The old '51 looks pretty good for a survivor. And it's alive!! Would love to see a part 2.
One of my bucket list cars is a birth year car....1955. And I'm a Ford guy. Saw a 55 Victoria for sale near me this past spring. Original 292, auto, glass roof and the two-tone red-and=white paint. Beautiful. Was a long way beyond my $$ bracket though. Be safe and stay well.
Thanks i really appreciate that! And yeah the 55 ford is a cool looking ride, one day I’d like to get back to mine or do something with it!
Hi Cody, great video as always. Of course we want to watch Part II on that Ole Girl. That Challenger sounds nice. All the best to you & Faith from Jerome in California.
Thanks Jerome, much appreciated!
Keep at Cody you’ll get it. Part two would definitely be cool to see on it. See you on the next one.👍😎✌️
Thanks for watching! See you on the next one!

Thanks for watching! It went well, hope the same for you!
Shoe boxes are so cool. I want a coupe. The business coupe is cool with no back seat
Yeah I'd love one of those as well! Thanks for watching!
@CarolinaCustomClassics that headbolt you broke is the same one I broke but on the other side.
@@adventureswithedna oh wow it must be a troublesome one? I need to pull the head back off and remove it, I’m sure it’ll run better if I did
@@adventureswithedna did you weld a nut on it to remove it?
@CarolinaCustomClassics I tried but couldn't get enough heat. Plus it was almost flush. Ended up having to drill it
I like that Fordomatic drive badge. It would look cool on a Chev....
Haha it would! Thanks for watching!
Great job saving it
Thanks! I try to save all I can, old cars have a soft spot in my heart lmao
Part 2 will be interesting 👍
I agree! Thanks for watching!
Strange that you found rocker arms inside a flathead equipped car….😉
Haha I know right, I thought the same thing lol thanks for watching, much appreciated!!
34:24 you skipped the fun part. Took 40 minutes to get the head off in our video from monday
Lol yeah those pesky head bolts are a pain, thanks for watching!
She popped off to run and idle is proof o😅
Oh yeah, I'm ready to see it idle on its on😎 thanks for watching!
This subject has been done to death ?. There is a clever guy in Australia [Backshed] who gets old Aussie cars running, driving, fixes minor bodywork, even paints & preserves patina & gets them road legal again, sometimes in one video. Also explains how he fixes mechanical problems. Thats interesting.
That’s basically what I do here on this channel but with American cars, but I’ll have to check him out. Thanks for watching!
@@CarolinaCustomClassics Cheers....just offering some feedback. Don't give up. Good luck.
@@lyndatomlins3448 thank you very much!
I'm more interested in the 55 Fird behind it.
It was my daily driver for almost 2 years until it spun a bearing and I was in the process of rebuilding it but parts are just too hard to find, so probably just replacing drivetrain with something else in the future. Thanks for watching
How much are you going to be asking for it because I've been interested in building a classic car
Thanks for watching and I'm asking $1800, clean title.
stuck valve?
Several unfortunately 😂
Whatever happened to your uncle and his channel?
Hey, thanks for watching! I think he lost interest sadly
