I never thought it was JUNK. My wife on the other hand would think I’d lost my mind if I ever thought about purchasing a vehicle that looked like that. This vintage beauty needs to be brought back to its former glory. I know Richard said he wasn’t a fan of the continental kit but that just adds to its mystique. Love the new shop, next investment is a lift.👍👍🇨🇦
You know what's funny? No matter the condition of a car, I've never thought Richard was crazy😅 If anything I push him to buy crazy vehicles! Really appreciate you watching❤
It’s good to know that you are doing great. I know the feeling as far as health. I don’t know about you but I thank the Lord everyday for letting me live and see another beautiful day.overall you guys are blessed keep up the great work.
Your right those Chevy straight 6’s are great engines. A friend lost his shop to a fire over the summer. He had a 1935 Dodge he was working on. And even though it went through a fire he is going to continue with the project. Name of his Channel is Half Ass Customs. If you want to check him out. Richard you and Christina are one of my favorite people. If you decide to rebuild. It can be done for sure. You guys are the best. The 1951- 1954 Chevy straight 6’s were great. I think you can do a little body work and create an interior. And a new wiring harness and Radiator. You got a Car. Never would attempt to restore. Your haunted 1949 has bad Mojo. This car wants to live again. Love the new shop. Anything makes your wrenching easier. I’m excited as well. Thank you Richard and Christina ❤️💯👍
Hey Richard and Christina nice. New shop by the way and Richard you and Christina have did a great job of finding these nice old cars and getting them running
I am so happy to see Richard doing so well after his ordeal. You two definitely deserve to have such a nice shop. Your hard work and dedication to preserving our automotive history never ceases to amaze me. God bless you both in abundance.
Great video lovely to see the old girl got a good home. I think u need to give it some of that vice grip shine juice. Would look great. The bracket In the boot u found looks like it's to hold the steering column to the dash
Well Richard and Christina it's time to poop 0r leave the restroom, ❤LoveJim J&R mobile service and God Bless Y'all and your critters and congratulations on your new home and shop
That small U Bolt you pitched in the trunk……is the steering column hold up bolt that goes under the dash…. Right between the Gauges!! Happy for y’all about the new shop!! Nice and spacious!!!
Great job as always. That car has some real possibilities. I would look into finding a parts car. That said not sure how far you are from Kansas, but a RUclipsr, Adventures made from Scratch I am pretty sure he has 2or 3 of these cars. He does sell them to people, as is, and not crazy money. This car with TLC could be made to be back in its glory.
I'm so thankful to see the 51 Chevy where it belongs please make a driver out of the Chevy it's to nice to be parted out,😊 God restored My life Richard and Christina and God has bless you with the parts and ability to restore the Chevy My heart just leaped with Joy to see it again, I have two,71,c
Hi Richard And Christina I love your channel. I enjoy watching you guys do what ever you do. Burned out chevy you can do your magic on the outside and get Christina to do the interior.
No sir, that's what we call a granny box three speed transmission. That transmission came in Chevrolets with the open drive from around 1955 until the mid sixties when they went to the fully synchronized three speed. Of course this car had the same basic transmission it was just a closed driveshaft setup (torque tube). This is going to be interesting what you guys do with this car.
grats! yeah, those s6's never let me down. The "paddles" look like mud/rock flaps, never liked them. maybe they were from some other project and got mixed in. Mechanically amazing, body mmm, looks like a write-off. You're both lookin good & healthy, take care.
Yeah, I would put it together a little bitthe way you could drive it around the yard. Then you go from there of what you want to do with it nexthave a great day. I enjoy what you do❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wasn't watching car channels in some time, but when the burnt Chevy came up on my feed I had to watch! I was one of hundreds who encouraged a resurrection! When Richard got it running initially, it was clear the old girl wanted to hit the road again!
You was so so right your shop needed christening! Soon as the shop got all the necessary's tbe car fired right up! Also congrats on the new shop! Another fantastic vid from the Dynamic Duo! Love you guys and keep the wrenches flying and keep themm old cars from dyeing!
Your buddy with the speed shop if he's still selling parts you would probably everything you need to build that car .All you need is a lift in there you'd have it made richard
Congratulations on your new shop!! My nephew, years ago, "walled off" a section of his large pole barn by hanging some heavy duty tarps to enclose his heated work space area. Thanks again for the video and the shop tour!!
Richard, this shop are very incredible. This Blue car, I think it's possible to put run with same pices and paint the car. Nothing very dificult, only a new life.
PS I have two 71 c-10, I am restoring, it's going as fast as I would like it to but am praying God will give me the strength and wisdom to finish before I die, God bless you, Wayne
Great new addition with your shop. A man’s dream for 90+% of us. The Chevy needs to be restored and Route 66 roadworthy. Can you imagine what a trip that would be. Would make a great marriage anniversary trip. You just don’t see those beauties in today’s world and on the road.
I'd like to see it Restored, But if you can't do it I wouldn't want to see her clear coated over the burnt areas and looking like a Freak show Car , She deserves to be Sold to someone Financially able to bring her back to her Former Glory.
Start sanding start painting and start putting that girl back together put her back on the road she needs a new life well build resurrected Classics Lebanon Tennessee wild Bill
That's awesome!! It's a great looking shop! Congratulations Richard and Christina!! 😎 So happy to see you guys got the Chevy! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do to it and the future projects!! Thanks for sharing!
Glad to see you got the car back. You don't have to worry about A/C for that one Richard, there's no glass! It's got what we call the 250 system. Two windows down 50 mph. And congrats on the new place! Now you have plenty of time to think about what you want to do with it now that its home. I say bolt it back together, get it drivable, and do a satin clear right over that fire damaged rust. It'll look authentic and it will tell a story.
That shop is a big upgrade just as it is and will get better as you finish it out over time. Just as it currently sits you're atleast out of the weather, dry and no wind. Plus having a concrete floor allows it easier and cleaner to roll tools around and a creeper. I'd look into adding an exhuast fan or two to the walls to draw fumes out and just get air movement in the hot weather.
That old Chevy is so solid if it had a donor roof it could come back strong....the new shop is a game changer ...glad to see it I'm sure you both will enjoy working in it ...Karl from eastern Canada
I just painted a red faux patina paint job on my 1958 Plymouth and it looks awesome and it was fun and easy peasy just pick out your favorite color spray paint scotch Brite down the body clean it with windex...paint the car let it dry then use the same scotch Brite pads and sand it dull ....done 😊 some new white walls and Indian blanket interior and you got a fun daily driver ... JS
As you close up that opening, keep in mind, you might want to keep the opening large enough to pull a engine hoist thru. Maybe a sliding down to save space and allow for a wider opening. Or leave it as is and make a sliding door to that size and you can cut a standard inside the sliding door.
Congrats guys, that's a beautiful shop, I'm very happy to see you revival that jewels in this place. Thank you both for share knowledge and show your passion for that cars!
Congratulations on the new World Headquarters. With time, patience, and ingenuity I'm sure you will eventually transform it into exactly what you need. From day one I've been impressed with how hard working you two are. You've definitely earned the upgrade.
Great video, so happy for you two that you finally have a place to be able to continue to do what you're doing. I love the new digs and it's just what you've been needing. I don't think I could ever have continued my love for bringing back old vehicles without building my pole barn and having some room to work and store my vehicles inside. With such a nice running motor in that car, go ahead and restore it to some degree and make it a driver. I could also live without the continental kit, I'm not a fan and on a fully restored car that would look great, so go ahead and sell it off.
I love the workshop. Glad you now have a space to focus on projects. Absolutely clear coat the car as it looks but I would love to see the engine bay all cleaned up painted and shiny.
I like the idea of cleaning up the engine bay. It would help show off the souped up 235 too. Clear coating the car I what I want to do, but I need to bring Christina around to the idea.
I'd like to see a restoration but it's your call.
I Had A Lot Of Chevys In My Time Can't Beat Those Chevys🎉

This was a practical demonstration of how peculiar fire can behave!
Great video lovely to see the old girl got a good home. I think u need to give it some of that vice grip shine juice. Would look great.

Hi Richard And Christina I love your channel. I enjoy watching you guys do what ever you do. Burned out chevy you can do your magic on the outside and get Christina to do the interior.
Love that old girl. Clear coat to preserve her story, get seats doors, dash and windscreen in it and drive her.
She sounds great!
That is exactly what I am thinking. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the tip. I am going to try some Scotchbrite and some 400 grit on the surface.

So much potential in that building. Can't wait to see it develop into your dream shop .
Exactly. We have all kinds of ideas to make this shop our own. It needs some work, but it is worth it.
