Thanks Stevenshow08, i didn't think about the balance every time either, but i have found that i am probably more likely to use 1 lens(14-140) for my purposes. Yeah, this was a long one so i figured some links would be helpful for those already familiar with some sections. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks Jeff, super helpful. I did IM Arizona last year, was signed up for Tremblant this year but they obviously canceled. They moved the reg to 2021 so planning on doing it next year. Heard its beautiful. Again, appreciate the video, super helpful for this noob!

Excellent presentation Jeff! Thanks for a thorough explanation and great examples of different shots to consider. Looks like it is heavy, does it create arm fatigue after awhile of use?
Thanks for the comment Design Eagles. I did not find this to be a problem when trying to get b-roll shots. However, definitely not something to hold way out in front (vlogging style). That would get tiresome after about 1 min.

Great video. But do you know if the focus wheel works with the Rokinon 35mm AF? Or it’s only working with the Sony lenses?
Did you stabilize the shots in post? There is a bit of warping in the first few clips. I have a Zhuiyun

Hi Al, thanks for the comment. Nope, those are just straight out of the camera. Definitely a learning curve for me. I need to get better with my footsteps.

But what about active track?
In the Zhiyun Crane app you can select Active Track.
But that's not the case with the Ronin S.
How can I track an object there?
I think without Active Track, the tracking is not as soft as the Zhiyun Crane 2
What do you think?
Hi Etiennescheid, I had the same thought about Active Track. Since pretty much every DJI UAS/UAV platform has Active Track, along with the DJI Osmo Mobile 2, I suspect Active Track is one of those features that will show up in the Ronin-S App in a firmware update. Seems like it just didn't make the initial feature cut for the first launch. For now, it is definitely a gap. Thanks for your comment!
I really really really struggle to use the ronin s underslung or for any close up under my chest level.. I get so horrible up/down movements
I need a drone that can life some electronics mounted to the bottom of the drone.
Suggestions?
The weight i need to haul up is apx 2 lbs.
should not mask downward looking sensors ( sensors outboard of bottom mounted electronics ).
I believe the Matrice 200 can support payloads of ~4 lbs.. www.dji.com/matrice-200-series Looks pretty interesting.
thanks Jeff, I got the ronin s las friday i was playing until half past 5 in the morning mate. is my first gimbal. I have the D810 and I was wondering if i could use the focus weel? or take pictures and star recording? I got the Ronins essential so I order the cable MCC-B .. thanks for any help mate.
Hi Spanish ink, I don't have a D810 so i can say for sure, but i do not believe the focus wheel will function with this set up. I think the start/stop recording should still work though. When I connect the cable of my sony a7ii camera it shows (usb connect) and not works . What is the problem ?

One correction I noticed, I only just recently got my Ronin S.
When you want to go to underslung mode, don't pan it, just move it straight up and down in front of you. When you tilt it, you risk the motors hitting each other but it'll rotate just fine if you just raise it up and down in front of you.

Thanks...What kind of battery life are you getting real world?
Real world I have zero concerns with the battery. I've been shooting for about an hour every day for the last month. I re-charge once per week when i see that battery at about 50%. For a production situation, i can't imagine anyone not making it through a full day of intensive shooting.
How the the roll motor works ?

Can you hear your motors when the ronin is idle?
Hi Superstarfred, nope not at all, nor when moving. The only time the motors are audible is during calibration.
I have the same issue, i hear the motor noise a bit😭
I need help? I'll have it in one mode and for ten seconds it will go off.
how long did it take to receive yours???
LB Vision mine took about 1 month. I ordered the day it was released (may 29) or the day after. I received around the first of July.
that little noise after auto tune is it normal or not?
Hi Masoud, the auto tune noise is perfectly normal and lasts about 10 secs.
Jeff Greene dear jeff when I balance my ronin all excellence , before using auto tune I’m not hearing any noise but even after default sound of auto tune i hear little noise and it’s different and it’s continuous
