- A police chase finally comes to an end in Orange County, CA but not before the suspect left a trail of danger that included multiple sideswiping, speeding, and scaring other drivers by traveling the wrong way.
SkyFOX was over the scene in Costa Mesa after multiple California Highway Patrol cruisers cornered the suspect and arrested the dangerous driver. Over the course of the chase, the suspect drove through parts of Long Beach, Westminster, Huntington Beach, Newport Beach before surrendering in Costa Mesa.

@@mannyc4224 -- Sort of. In Cali they deal with so many of these chases they have to consider police brutality becoming an issue in court. But I agree I like Arkansas' methods better.
I know California officers are limited on what they can do due to past situations, but if this has been in Arkansas, it would’ve been over…ASP are the BEST!

How many times did the scouts have an opportunity to stop this fiasco when they had multiple cruisers surrounding this guy and they literally played doorman at the hotel and courteously held the door open to let him drive on through. Instead of stopping this guy at 0 mph they let him go on to the freeway and do 110 mph. And don't think for a minute that Arkansas operates by the libtard rules of a litigant, dysfunctional California. No lawsuit!

The way these news people make comments is ridiculous. They said he threaded the needle when he simply drove in an full open lane. They are trying to make it sound way more dangerous then it really is. They said the driver was agitated, They can't know that.

I get the fact that CA has different rules for PIT maneuvers than other states. But, geez, they had prime opportunity many times to PIT. I know out here in rural America there have been PIT's at 80+ MPH.

This was an embarrassing performance by the police. No effort made to stop the vehicle. Someone in a bicycke would have stopped him earlier. Doesnt do much for having confidence in police

Mark your calendars, a rare secessful pit maneuver in southern California but I must say the commentary was excellent, something we rarely get.. Part of the SC offer's training should be watching Arkansas State Police videos with successful, pits at over 112mph and over.

After taking a hit for the pit maneuver new cars have a safety fuel pump shut off. He was probably trying to restart the car but it wasn't going to start.
The police had multiple chances to stop this and acted like they were afraid to put a dent in their car. The driver had two ways to leave when they so called " boxed him in". California needs to look at Leo and court policies. They are behind almost every state. It's like they are afraid to do their job but still want the paycheck
About the only way they get away is when they ditch the car and get lost in the crowd of people.

Max 35 mph for a PIT maneuver? I see this chase is all on urban streets, but 35 mph is way too low, it just prolongs the chase. Maybe the teachers for Arkansas State Troopers (covered on RUclips with 3 or 4 channels) could spend a few weeks (over the year) to teach CHP and other agencies across the USA.
Assuming the police vehicle has PIT bars (bull bars) in the front, 50 or 60 mph should be OK on these urban streets, and much higher on uncrowded highway. As I watch this video, the perp was alone on city streets many times below 60 and even 50.
OR - urban areas like this should equip their police vehicles with a Grappler: the police vehicle sends a straps & net setup to the back underneath of the perp's vehicle - perp can't drive forward.
