- This baby monkey was thrown away by its owner because of scabies. I took it and kept it. I am sure he will recover and will be a smart cute monkey.

I'm sorry, I can't make a video about Monkey LaLa anymore because monkey LaLa has been taken by the Wildlife Department. Monkey LaLa is a legally protected species of monkey. I hope Monkey LaLa will get better care there.

@@jenmc9404 It was a southern pig-tail. I do not believe the rubbish about it having been taken by the authorities. Albino monkeys are highly sought after and fetch a high price. Either he sold it or else had it on loan for the purpose of making a few videos. Southern pigtails are legally shot in Indonesia unless they are within a protected area. As soon as they make incursions into farmland they are fair game.

Lala was bleached. Thats why they took her. Pigtails are not a protected breed there. And ahe was not albino because she did not have red eyes.
She was not taken!! He made up a story because he could no longer bleach her and he couldn’t explain why she was turn dark haired so suddenly she was “taken” by the government.
Not all albinos have red eyes.

neck scabs = leash, im unsure if thats a pigtail or an even rarer type of macaque tonkean. but its probably a painted pigtail
It's a southern pig-tail also known as a beruk. What is a painted pigtail? It looks different because of the pelt loss due to scabies.

Thank you for caring for and about these little creatures I find them so utterly beautiful I am hooked yes, alas, I am addicted to watching these videos both wild and domestic but mostly wild monkeys. I love them so very much. Before I never even gave them a second thought until one day somehow I came across a video of them and that was it now each and every day all day and all night all I do is watch these little marvels and I am smitten. I want one soooooooooo badly it almost hurts! Crazy that anyone would ever even think to hunt down these precious little things. Bless you for your choosing to help and love and care for them I commend you and am so grateful for your helping them. May I ask you a question? Where do you live? I am curious. The beruk was an albino. There are different levels of albinism and all animals with the condition do not have red eyes, they are the exception. Blue eyes are more commonly seen. The reason the beruk is no longer in his possession is probably because it was on loan. Albino monkeys are highly prized and make a considerable amount of money. That beruk, as a female, would have been even more prized as a breeder. There are many videos of albino monkeys on YT and only one, as I recall, had red eyes.

And even if it was an albino. It wasn’t a protected breed so theeefor authorities would not have taken it. They r just saying that is what happened because they dont want to just admit they dumped it or that it died. Period

Probably because its not a baby and this breed of monkey not only get not cute at all the older they get their heads bigger than their bodies but they have tantrums and act worse than infants that are a different breed they demand to cling when they aren't babies even more than when they were and constantly whine and are upset when nothing wrong is happening i don't know why people get them

@@kandierice4566 It was not bleached. It was a true albino. Don't forget that albinism comes in many different forms. The pigtail had the very pale skin typical of albinism but not the pale or pink eyes.

Lala was a Japanese macaque but it's not legal to keep any monkey species as a pet there.
