I had my pretty heavily pitted original wheels redone and powder coated. They went into a CNC machine that cleans them up. They look perfect. Love your videos!
Ahh, the land cruiser project channel, where in every video, I learn that the world’s most reliable vehicles become more and more unaffordable. Every. Video. The flagship land cruiser not coming back to the US doesn’t help either. Neither does the new “land cruiser” that’s really a prado that we got make it any better. Maybe if the LC250 does well enough in real life in terms of off-roading, I might not only be able afford my first “land cruiser” (prado) but I might also be able to afford running it…. if the 27 mpg thing is true. The GX550 will need the Overtrail package for E-KDSS. Maybe you can make a video discussing the LC250 (and remember to call it a Prado because for some reason, wayyyy too many people still think it’s an actual land cruiser) if you haven’t already. Thanks! Also, nice video. Sorry if I got a bit too negative.
@@thelandcruiserproject seriously, is there any difference between the 4Runner and LC250 other than better gas mileage? I’ll guiltily admit though, if the 27 mpg thing is true for the LC250 I honestly might get one. Obviously on top of seeing real life performance first. E-KDSS not on 4Runner now is on the Overtrail GX550 which you have to pay extra for. Although I don’t remember if you saw a comment I made some videos ago on your channel, but remember when I said that the GX550 was technically more reliable than the LC300 because it was the same engine but detuned by 50 HP? Same Tahara Japan factory too? Well, I think the schematics for that engine got released recently if you didn’t know. See if you can take a look at it and discuss similarities between the GX550 and LC300 in another video?
Automotive Press also talked about recently how the 250 is being made in the higher volume Tahara and Hino plants, not the slow, mostly hand-built plant the 300/LX600 come from. The biggest suspension difference I see is that the 250 is only getting half of the old style e-KDSS..and the 1958 doesn't get any of it. In some ways it's an even more dumbed down version of the 4Runner.
Predicted Final Price: Sold for $25,000
Actual Final Price: Sold for $30,750

Well done. Good feedback on that process.

It happens to the best of us. 😂
Yup. It’s a Prado. Not a Land Cruiser.
Correct. Or 4Runner+. Or American Cash Grab.
