I Agree season 9 made up for a lackluster season 7, 8. This season was truly dynasty comeback IT'S A TRAGEDY THAT DYNASTY DIDN'T GET A SEASON 10. You can tell they way the season was written that RICHARD AND ESTHER SHAPIRO AND AARON SPELLING NATURALLY ASSUMED THAT ABC NETWORK WOULD RENEW FOR ANOTHER SEASON BUT DIDN'T. This series had the potential to make it to its 11th season. But at least they created the mini series after the show got cancelled

However, when Sable fly in on her broom to make the resident witch, Alexis life a living hell....I was all for it. Yes, thank you David Paulsen for bringing in Stephanie Beacham. This show needed a new diva to get under Alexis' skin.

That's a totally Shakespearean line! The writers of Dynasty crafted that script as if it were an Elizabethan drama. The way Alexis calls Stephanie "cousin", is a totally Shakespearean conceit. Cousins are often seen in Elizabethan plays trying to outwit and outdo each other. Cousins have a rivalry which is often played out to epic proportions. More than kin and less than kind! Dynasty has all the quality of Shakespeare: the dynastic plots and twists and sub plots, the scheming wives, the ungrateful, spoiled children, the mansions and the licentiousness. Soap opera is wonderful because it uses all the qualities of high art but for mainstream audiences, which is kind of what Shakespeare himself did. All his dramas and tragedies were played out for the common people. There is nothing new in this world.

It would worked too because she is as loyal and have a big heart like Krystle BUT at the same time the ruthlessness of Alexis if her trigger was set off, which in Sable's case was always about her family and friends she cared for, mess with them and she will go after you with relentless tenacity as Alexis so deservedly found out.

Lots of references to The Colbys were made once Steph came on. In this scene it was los Angeles when adam poked a jab at sable. And most The Colbys story lines were tied up through these references like we knew Franky was still alive and Monica never got to see her son Scott after her last scene with him in 1987.
