He was even known to take his frustrations out on her on occasion so one would think that would have at least opened her eyes.
I think she was influenced, at least in this role, by Bette D. - the tics, the mannerisms, the wide eyed reactions, shoulder heaving, walks etc ... though I've never heard her speak of that being the case
@@bkynbiker19 well, that's not a bad person to be influenced in, acting wise - after all Bette D. was a 2 time Oscar winner and one of Joan's earliest films was with her in the 50's called "The Virgin Queen" (about Queen Elizabeth I) and Bette gave her a hard time. Years later, Bette applauded the fact that Joan did so well on "Dynasty". I read somewhere that the same person who dubs Joan's voice in Spanish used to dub Bette's voice in Spanish (in films).

She looks so incredibly beautiful with the simpler clothes, hair and make-up. Later in the series she had huge hats, hair pieces, enormous shoulder pads, globs of excessive make-up and she still looked great but not like here at 00:05

@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc Thank you. I just googled her. The thing I most knew her from was Banacek. She played an annoying sidekick in the second series. It's a shame how the character was written as she's a good actress.
Because the nurse at one time had an affair with Dr. Nicholas Toscanni (who had LB kidnapped with the help of Alfred Grimes - Roger Grimes' father). Fallon originally thought that the doctor and the nurse were in cahoots regarding the kidnapping (they weren't), especially due to their prior affair; she was jealous of the prior affair since she had the hots for Dr. Nick even when being married to Jeff - and that's why she fired her.
