- The lovely and talented singer Melanie Lewis-McDonald is seen here performing as a Backing Singer with Jeff Lynne's ELO in concert. Melanie Lewis-McDonald is a singer and vocal coach and is currently a member of Jeff Lynne's ELO, having joined the band in 2014 for the Radio 2 Live concert in Hyde Park, London - and has continued to sing backing vocals on tour throughout the UK, including Glastonbury Festival and Wembley Stadium, Europe and the United States, including the Hollywood Bowl and Radio City, New York.

I was lucky enough to see ELO at the O2 and yes Jeff backing singer Melanie is amazing but so is Iain Hornal who partners her, overall the whole group manages to produce a sound which is now better than when it was originally released.
Iain Hornel is also the new lead singer with 10cc if you are interested?

She just seems to literally LOVE what she is doing, as do all of ELO on these tours. I wanted to hear them live in Tampa FL this past July, but had spine surgery the week of their concert. There was no way to go ... I couldn't have stood or sat through it before the surgery, but I could do that now...or soon...I hope they plan another US tour ... Fantastic ... and hope Melanie Lewis McDonald will be with them. Jeff's voice is pretty amazing to still be present these days ...
This woman is sooo extremely attractive, talented, great voice, awesome stage presence. Can't say enough about her! I've got a HUGE crush!!!
Melanie and Iain are the best plus they are fantastic in all the Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra Concerts "All Over The World". Can't wait for Jeff Lynne's ELO 2019 Summer Tour in the US and Canada.
My daughter and I saw you all in Columbus Ohio last week! Thank you so much for bring back so many wonderful memories...you brought me to tears several times during your performance! I've never seen that much talent condensed to one stage in all my life! It was a dream come true to see and hear the soundtrack of my childhood live on stage! Cheers to all of you!!!
So great to see them pull together and perform for the audience and the group, and not show off their egos as the original ELO members often did. These folks enhance the performance so much and demonstrates class.

That band Jeff Lynne put together for Wembley or Bust is amazing, including Melanie Lewis. Such a great recording. I live vicariously through those people in the crowd. Clearly that audience was treated to a magnificent performance.

Her lovely voice and that of singer songwriter Iain Hornal totally complement and lets face it enhance Jeff's sweet tones. This 13 piece group has got so much more musical punch than 7 piece previous iterations. It's the reason I'm going back to see them in October. ❤

I used to adore Melanie singing with Fast Freddie at The Ravenswood etc 30ish years ago. Lovely to see her again here...
She is pretty amazing, but then would you expect anything less from Jeff Lynne, the whole band are absolutely awesome, and Jeff is the ultimate professional. It really defies all logic that they can sound this good live!

@@Airlane-rq9yd I saw Jeff Lynne's ELO live in Detroit last year.... The best concert ever.... and that is because everyone on that stage contributed their part.... Melanie added a LOT to that concert from her spot as a backup singer.... 13 top notch musicians and it took all 13 to produce that great sound.... Look again... Maybe it's you ?
