1st 😝. That battery tester could pay for itself in one use! Their diagnostic equipment is gathering pace amongst the aftermarket! Pretty good stuff too.
Great video, to the point testing, minimal fluff. "Here are the instructions... We're not going to read those" 😂 Interesting to see how the duff battery started "okay" but as you say, come the winter it wouldn't have the juice and either not start or throw codes.
Pretty impressed with topdon stuff, I have the same tester as this, and also have the topdon artidiag 800bt diagnostics. My main diagnostic interface is the delphi ds150, but it does not cover saic mg at all, so got the topdon diagnostics as it covers loads of chinese makes, including the saic mg. My neighbour has the 2018 mg zs, and could find no manual method to reset her service interval reminder. Some people said hold down the ok button on steering wheel, with ignition in off position, keep holding the ok button down while turning the ignition to on position, and it should reset, but dod not work for me, so luckily I have the topdon diagnostics that allowed me to perform the service interval reset.
On my Mondeo the battery negative terminal is inaccessible so I have to use the small stud that connects the battery negative cable to the car body. When I tested a brand new battery with the TOPDON it indicated “replace” so I removed the battery from the car and tested it with the TOPDON connected directly to the battery terminals and the result was good battery 99%. I thoroughly cleaned all contact points and reinstalled the battery and again it indicated “replace” when I retested it on the car. The battery ground cable is about 18” long and looks fine, no sign of corrosion or loose terminals. Any ideas?
It's supposed to be connected straight to the battery, you will get incorrect results otherwise. All battery testers wont work properly if they're connected to the ground of the car.
hi ı tested my bosch battery and its SOH is %66 its low ? also measured cca is 650 but battery is 850 cca no drain on tests car is 06 jaguar s-type 2.7 tdv6 2-3 day and no crank is my issue
To me his 55% healthy report was really low. My battery is starting to give a little trouble and it shows 57% health. My local mechanic friend says he likes them to be 75% or better for a good battery.
A bunch of reviews on this little tester out there. This is one of the best by far. Thank you!
I bought one about 6 months ago. Wouldn’t be without it now. 👍

Service reset on the ZS can only be done on the dash if it's 2020 model year onwards. Earlier ones can only be done with diag equipment
@@pistonbroke yeah I found that out, but still get the keyboard mechanics that try and say different🤣👍
Oh yeah, facebook the font of all knowledge 😂
@@pistonbroke until I see something done with my own eyes that they claim can be done, I am a non believer🤣
Big thanks for this 👍

A battery diagnostic tool is the equivalent of a MRI you can see what you cant see from outside.
Hello Nice video. How can i see what type batteri I have flooded, AGM etc ?
It should say what type it is on a label on the battery.
@@pistonbroke also if the agm is spiral or flat pad?

That should be enough to crank it. Charge it over night, if still no crank then the fault lies elsewhere.

@@Okie-Tom hello yes ı was replace in summer and problem solved 7 month(winter here) no problem ı never buy bosch again, varta in my car now
You referred to millivolts. That is incorrect. It is milliAMPs
We all make mistakes and it's actually milli ohms so you were wrong too.
So far this is the best video review guide on the Topdon BT100 Battery Tester on RUclips by far very helpful & it deserves more views 👏 ❤
Cheers 👍
