Sir, you are a lifesaver! The Moen head was so disappointing because even with plenty of water pressure, the shower was just "nothing." All we had to do was pull that and the shower was fantastic. Thank you!!!
This is great to read! I completely understand the "nothing" part and that's a great way to describe it! I am happy the video helped, thanks for watching, JL.
I had a restricted water flow from my shower head as well, but I troubleshooted with the shower head removed and then turned on the water after removal to see what the flow pressure was like thru the shower hose. Low and behold it also had washers that restricted the flow so then I removed the washers from the hose and turned the water on again and whoa Nelly, the water came thru at 2.5 GPM, just like the pressure valve is rated. I then screwed on the shower head again, leaving it's washer in (because it is also deeper inside and harder to remove compared to the hose washer. Problem solved, water pressure was fantastic!!!
If you can get that to easily come out I say go ahead and do it. In my case the piece was not moving so I decided not to fool with it. Thanks for watching, JL.
I just got the same shower head, removed the restrictor, but not all settings actually work. Did you in plumbers tape and the included washer? Or just the washer? or remove the washer and use plumbers tape? Thank you!
Hmm, not sure why the settings would not work. I think they work on mine but I usually just leave it on the 'regular' shower setting. I did not use tape, just the washer. I like these heads for that reason, no tape means a quick disconnect to clean out, especially since we are on well water. Thanks for watching, JL.

Worked perfectly! My Moen shower head was horrible, removed the ring inside and it’s now normal pressure! Thank you for the helpful video
Fantastic! I am delighted that you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching, JL.
Awesome! Used safety pin, popped right out!!! 🙌👍👏
Fantastic! I am glad it worked easily for you, thanks for watching, JL.
Thank you for showing different heads!
You are welcome, thanks for watching, JL.
My new moen attune is different. It looks like a brass plate blocks 75% of the flow. I might try drilling the plate to make the hole bigger.
They do seem to change the design periodically. I hope it works out for you, thanks for watching, JL.
Tried it on my moen. Plastic bit is probably glued to it. If you poke the edges with a safety pin you can probably get it loose enough to pull it out.

Fantastic and great detective work!! Glad you now have a comfortable shower. Thanks for watching, JL.
Why not take out the plastic restrictor as well?

@@LendermanShopI removed the o-ring, and there's plenty of flow. I wouldn't see any reason to remove that plastic part.

it worked..thank you
Fantastic! Thanks for watching, JL.
Try a crochet hook.
Great idea! Thanks for watching, JL.
Very helpful, thanks!!
Worked great. I used a pocket knife
Fantastic! Thanks for watching, JL.
It's not a washer your removing it's a o-ring. Use a o- ring pick to remove..
I appreciate that correction, clearly not a washer. I press record and can't remember the simplest of terms!! Thanks for watching, JL.
What a terrible video.
Sorry the video did not help you, thanks for watching, JL.
